Marvellous Grace

Ephesians 2; Romans 5; Romans 8

By your grace, father, through the faith that you have planted in me, I have been saved. By faith in Jesus’ love and faithfulness and his saving power, I have been justified. I have peace with you, father, through my Lord Jesus Christ. By faith I have access to your marvelous grace, father. Now I stand firmly in that grace and I rejoice in the hope of your glory filling every cell of my life.

I can even glory in tribulations, because I know that, for your child, tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope. This hope from you, father, does not disappoint because you testify to the truth and power and permanence of the hope by the gift of your Holy Spirit. You pour your spirit of love out on me and into me.

You, Holy Spirit, bear witness to my spirit that I am God’s child, and since I am his child, I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. I may have to suffer with Christ but I will also be glorified together with him.

Live By Sight

Hebrews 10

I draw near to you today, heavenly father, through the new and living way that Jesus consecrated through his flesh. His flesh was torn like the veil of the temple and through that sacrifice I can draw near to you, father, with a true heart and in full assurance of faith.

My heart is sprinkled from an evil conscience and my body is washed with pure water. I hold fast to the confession of my hope without wavering for you have promised, father, and you are perfectly faithful and able to do all that you have promised.

I stay in fellowship with the brothers and sisters you have given me, and we stir up and encourage each other. We believe that you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost have saved our souls, and that in Christ we have a better and enduring possession in heaven. Now for a little while we live by faith; soon we will live by sight forever.

New and Living Way

Hebrews 10, Romans 15 & Hebrews 10

By your will, heavenly father, I have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. This man, Jesus, my Lord and Savior, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at your right hand, father.

For now he is seated there with you, father, waiting on your timing until his enemies are made his footstool. By one offering he perfected forever all those whom you have chosen to be yours, father God.

Your Holy Spirit witnesses to me, father, and I begin to commune with you ceaselessly. You write your words on my heart and your word fills my mind. I have peace and joy in believing you, father, the God of hope.

My sins and lawless deeds you remember no more. I have a boldness to enter into your holiest presence by the blood of Jesus. This is the new and living way that Jesus consecrated for me.

A Better Covenant

Hebrews 9&8

Lord Jesus, you appeared once at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of yourself. You offered yourself once to bear my sins and the sins of many others. I eagerly await your second appearance which will not be about sin but rather will be all about salvation.

You, Lord Jesus, are the high priest of the good things to come. You entered the perfect tabernacle, the one in heaven. There you entered the most holy place with your own blood once for all, and thereby, obtained eternal redemption for me and for all those folk whom our father has called to be yours.

Your blood, Lord Jesus, cleanses my conscience from dead works and enables me to serve God, our father.

You, Lord Jesus, are the mediator of the new covenant, a better covenant, established on better promises. Now, Lord Jesus, you put your laws in my mind and you write them on my heart. You are my God, and best of all, I am your person.

Full Assurance

Hebrews 4,5&6; Romans 12; Hebrews 7

Thank you, Father, that I have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens. He is Jesus, your son.

I hold fast to the confession that Jesus is your son. He is your messiah. He is my Savior and Lord.

He was in all points tested as I am, yet he is without sin. Through your gift of faith in Christ I can come boldly before your throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus learned obedience by the things which he suffered. He was perfected and has become the author of eternal salvation to all those who you have called to be yours, father.

You have chosen me, father. You have enlightened me, father, and converted me. I have become a partaker of your Holy Spirit. I have tasted your good word, Lord, and I am transformed by the renewing of my mind.

I am diligent to seek you each day, father. I have full assurance of hope in the finished work of Jesus. He is able to save me to the uttermost since he always lives to make intercession for me with you, my father in heaven.

Enlightened

Ephesians 1; Jeremiah 9

Thank you, father, that in your grace you chose me to be yours; to believe and to receive Christ as my Lord and Savior. You chose me before the foundation of the world to be in Christ, that by Christ, I would be holy and blameless before you.

Your grace abounds toward me, and I begin to see and gain some understanding of the mystery of your will. In Christ’s sacrifice, solely by your grace and mercy, I have redemption, and I am forgiven of my sins.

I trusted in Jesus after I heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, father. Having believed, you sealed me with your Holy Spirit as promised. Your Holy Spirit in me is your guarantee of my inheritance until I am redeemed by you as a part of your purchased possession.

Thank you, father, that you have enlightened the eyes of my understanding. I glory that, in your grace, I can understand you and know you, father.

I can know that you are God, and that you delight in exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.

Grace Found

Hebrews 3&4; Matthew 11; Hebrews 4; 1 John 1

Today, father, my heart is soft for you. I realize you, Lord Jesus, are everything for me, and I understand my desperate need for you as my Lord in every matter of life that counts.

You, Lord Jesus, are the Christ of God, our father. You are the son, placed by God, the father, over all the house. I am one of your house. I am your brother, Lord Jesus, one of your own, a child of the king and a joint heir with you, my Lord.

You, Lord Jesus, are the Apostle and high priest of my confession. My faith and salvation is in your finished work, Lord Jesus. You are my sabbath rest, and I am diligent to enter that rest.

I come unto you; I take up your cross; I learn from you; and I find rest for my soul.

You, Lord, are the very word of God, our father. You are living and powerful and sharp. You divide flesh from spirit. You are light in my soul and mind. You reveal the thoughts and intentions of my heart, so that I can repent, and confess, and be cleansed.

In your atonement, I can come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The Captain

Hebrews 2

Father, I pay great attention to your great salvation. I give earnest heed to your word. I stay anchored to you, and I do not drift.

Your word came to me as spoken by angels and then spoken by your Son, my Lord Jesus. Then your word was written by the apostles and testified as true by their lives.

Throughout all time you have demonstrated and verified the truth and power of your word with both signs and wonders, with various miracles, and with the gift of your Holy Spirit.

You have done this in big ways for the world to see, and you have done signs and wonders in me personally for a divine testimony to me. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for your witness and for your faithful communion.

You, father, have put all things in subjection under the feet of the Lord Jesus. You left nothing that was not put under him. I cannot see all the details now, but I can see Jesus.

He took on flesh, by your grace, father, to taste death for everyone and thereby brought many sons to glory. He is the captain of my salvation. He calls me brother. I am sanctified with Christ, and I am one with Christ.

The Work of His Hands

Hebrews 1

Father, in these days you have spoken to me by your son, the Lord Jesus Christ. You have appointed him heir of all things. He is the brightness of your glory, and the expressed image of your person.

He upholds all things by the power of his word. He has purged my sins and has set down at your right hand, Father.

You say Jesus is your only begotten son; that you are his father and he is your son; that all the angels worship him; that he empowers angels, and you say that he indwells and baptizes ministers with fire.

You call Jesus God and you give him an eternal throne. You acknowledge that Jesus is righteousness itself; that he has a scepter of righteousness; and that he hates lawlessness. You, Father, have anointed him with the oil of gladness beyond any other’s measure.

You say that Jesus laid the foundation of this earth and that the heavens are the work of his hands.

Jesus is eternal. He will remain after all the heaven and earth are changed. He is the same, and he will never fail.
