Complete

Philippians 2; 1 Corinthians 4; 2 Corinthians 12&13

Today I glory in you, Father. I bow my knees before you. My tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you are glorified, Father, in every way. I pay attention to this great salvation you have given me. I take it seriously, and you perfect it in me every day.

You work in me with your spirit and with your word, and you bring my will and my work into perfect agreement with your good pleasure. All this is done by you, Father, so I have nothing that did not come from you.

Without your presence and power, I am helpless in spiritual matters. By your grace, my strength is made perfect in my humility, so I boast in my weakness, because I know Christ’s power fills me, and that makes me strong against sin and foolishness.

I am dead to weaknesses of the flesh and alive by your power, Father. I live with Christ Jesus by your power toward me. I am filled with faith, and Jesus Christ dwells in me. I do things that are honorable, and I live in the truth. You, Father, the God of Love and Peace, are with me always. I am complete in Christ.

Indescribable Gift

2 Corinthians 9&8

Lord God, help me to be generous and accurate with my giving. I want to sow bountifully into the people and ministries that you have ordained for me to serve. I know you love a cheerful giver, so set my heart to be loving, generous, and accurate!

You are gracious, Lord Jesus. You were rich, and for my sake, you poured out, and through your giving, I became rich!

You, Father, have made all grace abound to me so that I always have all sufficiency in all things. I have an abundance for every good work that you have ordained for me to walk in.

You, Father, supply seed to the sower and bread for food. You supply and multiply the seed you want sown, and you cause the increase in the fruit of righteousness.

You enrich all that is yours liberally, and we who are yours abound in thanksgiving. Lead me, Holy Spirit, that I would manage the Father‘s gifts well; that the needs of the saints would be met, and that the word of the gospel would go forth with joy and thanksgiving. Be glorified, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thanks for your indescribable gift.

Perfect Redemption

2 Corinthians 6&5

Father, by your grace and indwelling spirit, I am transformed into your temple, a temple of the living God. You foretell me that you will dwell in me and will walk with me; that you will be my god and that I am your person.

By your decree and choice and power and grace, I am yours. I am born again. It is no longer me, but you dwelling in me. I am sanctified by your truth.

Therefore, I have come out from among the lost. You, Almighty God, are my father, and I am your son.

I am in Christ, and I am a new creation; old things that passed away; behold all things have become new. Now everything about me is of you and from you, Father. You have reconciled me to yourself through Jesus Christ, and you have given me the ministry of reconciliation.

Now I am your ambassador. I implore all, who ask, to be reconciled to you, Father, by faith in Jesus, who you raised up to be the way to your salvation.

He knew no sin, but he became sin for me, and he suffered for sin to be my propitiation that I, through Jesus, could be the very righteousness that you require. Thank you, Father, for my perfect redemption.

For Now

2 Corinthians 5

Father, as time passes, my outward man is wasting away, but my inward man is renewed day by day. The trials of this life in the flesh are brief in comparison to eternity, and they work into me and out of me your exceeding glory. So now I concentrate on your spiritual things, Father, because those are the things that last forever.

When my earthly tent wears out or is destroyed, I have a house built by you, Father, eternal in the heavens. So sometimes I groan in this life, desiring to be done here and clothed with my heavenly habitation.

I know that someday, at your appointed time, mortality will be swallowed up by divine life in Christ Jesus. You have prepared me for that, Father, through your scripture, and you have given me your Holy Spirit as a guarantee of it all.

So, I am confident that when I am absent from the body, I will be present with you, Lord. I walk now by faith and not by sight. In faith, I know it is better to be free of this body and present with you. Therefore, for now, I make it my aim, whether absent or present, to be pleasing to you, Father!

The Power and Presence

2 Corinthians 4

You, Father, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, have given me light in my heart to see the Lord Jesus, and to see your grace and glory through the life of Jesus.

Now your Holy Spirit fills me like a treasure in an earthen vessel. The power and presence who transforms and converts and leads me is from you.

Now I live by your spirit. I die to my old man each day that the life of Jesus will manifest in my mortal flesh.

You, Holy Spirit, who raised the Lord Jesus, raise me up with Jesus each day. You lead me in paths of righteousness, for the glory of God, our father. I abound in thanksgiving to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You have given me a ministry, Lord. I seek to speak and live your truth. I do not preach myself, but I preach Christ Jesus, the Lord, and me as your bond servant for Christ’s sake.

By your grace and divine presence in me, Lord, my inward man is being renewed day by day. You work your glory in me, Father. I keep my eyes on you and your word for there is life eternal.

Glory to Glory

2 Corinthians 1; Ephesians 2; 2 Corinthians 2&3

Hallelujah, Father, I put my trust in you for you raise all who are yours from the dead. You have already raised me from being dead in my sins and trespasses. You, Father, who are rich in mercy, and who loved me with a great, divine, gracious love, even when I was dead in sin, make me alive together with Christ. By grace, I have been saved through faith.

Now I conduct myself in simplicity and godly sincerity. I am established in Christ, and you have sealed me, Father, and placed your Holy Spirit in my heart as a guarantee of all your promises.

Now you always lead me in triumph in Christ. I am to you the fragrance of Christ, the aroma of life to all who are yours.

You have written your word on the tablet of my heart by your Holy Spirit. I am a sufficient minister of your gospel, and my sufficiency is from you, not from myself. It is your spirit and word coming from you, through you in me, and going back to you.

It is the spirit not the letter of the law. The law was glorious, but the ministry of your spirit is more glorious. For you, Lord, are the spirit, and where your spirit is there is liberty. I behold your glory, Lord, and I am transformed into the image of the Lord Jesus from glory to glory.

Hello, Father

1 Corinthians 15

The first man, Adam became a living being. The last Adam became a life giving spirit. So the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward, the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust, the second man is of the Lord from heaven.

Now, I am a man of dust, as other men of dust, and as others have become heavenly, I also, by your power, Father, will be heavenly in your time.

As I have borne the image of the man of dust, I shall also bear the image of the heavenly man.

Flesh and blood cannot inherit your kingdom, Father, nor does corruption inherit incorruption. We of dust shall all be changed at the last trumpet. The trumpet shall sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible. Then corruptible will put on incorruptible, and mortal will put on immortality, and death will be swallowed up in victory.

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I have victory over sin through the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, I am steadfast and immovable, always abounding in faith and love, knowing that my labor is not in vain, because you love me, Father, and you see to my perfection.

Under His Feet

1 Corinthians 15

Thank you, Father, for declaring your gospel to me. I have received your word, and I stand in it. I hold fast to your scriptures, and I am born again, by the word of your gospel, your incorruptible seed.

I know Christ Jesus died for my sins according to the scripture, and he was buried, and he rose again on the third day according to the scripture.

Then he was seen by Peter and by other apostles, and then by hundreds of people, and by his brothers. Then later, he was seen by Paul, who was convinced, convicted, and changed from persecutor to preacher

Now I know that Christ is risen from the dead and is the first fruits of those who have died. As in Adam, all shall die, even so, in Christ, all shall be made alive.

But there is an order: Christ and the first fruits, afterward, those who are in Christ at his return. Then comes the end when the Lord Jesus delivers the kingdom to you, Father. When he puts an end to all evil, to all rule and all authority and power.

Christ Jesus will put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy, he destroys his death. Then he will submit all things, including himself, to you, Father, that you, Almighty God will be all in all.

The Greatest of These

1 Corinthians 12&13

Thank you, Father, that I am a member of Christ’s body here on earth, his organized presence to minister the gospel to the world, and to teach and care for all people who are yours.

You, Father, have set me in that body exactly where and how it pleases you. There are many members, yet one body.

Each member is baptized into Christ’s body by your Holy Spirit, Father, and we have been made to drink into one spirit.

Holy Spirit, you are a gift to me from God, our father. You dwell in me and gift me with divine gifts as the Father appoints for me. Your gifts, Holy Spirit, are a part of me and are meant to profit all people who are yours.

Whatever gifts you manifest in me, Lord, they must be enjoyed and served in humility and love, otherwise they are futile and just noise.

By your grace, Father, I can be faith filled and wise and generous, but if I do not serve and pray and see in love, there is no eternal benefit.

In Christ, faith, hope, and love are a part of me, but the greatest of these is love.

Obedience and Faith

1 Corinthians 9&10

Father, my desire, my aim, is to run the race you set before me in faith; to obtain the prize of your good pleasure.

I seek an imperishable crown. I fight with faith and your word. I discipline my body and bring it into subjection to your way and your word.

I have been baptized into the Lord Jesus. I have eaten your spiritual food and drunk your spiritual drink. I have drunk from the Spiritual Rock, and that Rock is you, Lord Jesus. You are my food and drink, and now, with you, I never thirst.

I am filled with and led by your Holy Spirit, Lord, and I do not lust after evil things. I do not worship idols. I flee sexual immorality. I do not murmur or complain. I am humble. I know it is easy to get prideful, and pride will trip me to fall.

Now, filled with wisdom from your spirit and your word, I know that no temptation will come to me that is not common and recognizable. And I know, Father, that you are faithful, and you love me, and with every temptation, you will make a way for me to escape and obey you.

I will be able, by your grace and mercy, Lord, to bear the test and respond with obedience and faith.
