Given To Me

Hebrews 1&2; 2 Peter 1; Romans 5

You, Lord Jesus, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. All that will perish, but you remain; they will grow old like a garment; like a cloak, you will fold them up, and they will be changed. But you, Lord, are the same, and your years will not fail.

Therefore, I give earnest heed to all the things that you tell me lest I drift away. You, Lord Jesus, have given to me exceeding great and precious promises that, through your word, I am become a partaker of your divine nature, and I have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

So, I make every effort to add to my faith, virtue, and knowledge with humility, and perseverance, and godliness, and kindness, and godly love. You demonstrate your love for me, in that while I was lost in sin, you, Lord Jesus, died for me.

I am justified by the atoning sacrifice of your life, and saved from the wrath of our father. I am filled with sure hope, Lord, because you have poured your divine, living love into my heart through your Holy Spirit, who you have given to me.

Life Saving Exchange

Philemon; Hebrews 1&2; Romans 8; 1 John 2; 2 Corinthians 5

I thank you for joy in the Lord, Father! Refresh my heart in Jesus today, Jesus, your only begotten son, whom you call God, whom angels worship. You give him a throne forever and ever. He is king, and his scepter is righteousness. He loves right and hates lawlessness. Therefore, Father, you have anointed him with the oil of gladness more than anyone.

Now my Lord Jesus sits at your right hand and intercedes for me. He is my advocate and my salvation. Through him, I have been justified and reconciled to you.

In a great life-saving exchange, you made Christ Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for me, that I could become perfect righteousness in him. Now in Christ, I am complete!

Lay Hold

Titus 2; 1 Timothy 6, 1&2; 1 Peter 5

Father, your grace that brings salvation has appeared to me, and you have taught me that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, I should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking always for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of my great God and Savior, Jesus Christ

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving yourself to redeem me from every lawless deed and to purify and make me your person, zealous for good works.

Now I pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. I lay hold on eternal life to which you have called me, Lord Jesus

I pray for our leaders, Lord. Guard them, convert them, give them wisdom, and take out the liars and thieves, that we can live quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence.

I humble myself under your mighty hand, Father. I cast all my care upon you, for I know that you care for me. I resist ungodliness and confusion, steadfast in the faith, and you, the God of all grace, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle me to your glory and dominion and honor, forever and ever.

The Crown

2 Timothy 4

Thank you, Lord, that you stand by me, and you strengthen me. Through me you speak and teach your word. Make me ready at any time to convince, rebuke, exhort, and teach with all patience.

Guide me, Holy Spirit, that I will be watchful in all things, that I will do the work of an evangelist, that I will fulfill the ministry you created me for.

I know you were faithful and sovereign, Lord. You deliver me from every evil, and you preserve me for your heavenly kingdom.

By your power and person in me, I will stand firm; I will finish well; I will walk in faith; I will receive the crown of righteousness which you have prepared for me and for all who love your appearing.

Out of a Pure Heart

2 Timothy 1-3

Hallelujah, Father, I am strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Your Holy Spirit dwells in me, and he is committed to do your work in me, Lord, for your glory and my good!

By your will and the work of your apostles and teachers, I have obtained your salvation, which is in Christ Jesus and filled with eternal glory.

Now I am diligent to present myself approved to you, Father, a worker who is not ashamed, who can rightly handle, understand, and share your word of truth. I stick to your scripture and avoid debate and arguments with those who profane and babble foolishness and corruption.

For all scripture is given by your inspiration, Father, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that everyone of your people will be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

By the power of your work and the atonement of my Lord Jesus, I am a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful to you, Father. I flee youthful lust. I pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, and peace with all those who call on you out of a pure heart.

Divine and Easy

2 Thessalonians 2&3

I give thanks to you, Father, that from the beginning, you chosen me for salvation, through sanctification by your Holy Spirit and belief in the truth. You called me to you by your gospel, to obtain the indwelling glory and communion of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, I stand fast and hold onto all that you have taught me and shown me by word and spirit.

Father, by your grace, you have given me everlasting consolation and good hope. You comfort my heart, and you establish me in every good word and work.

I thank you, Lord, that your word lives in me and flows out of me, to those you have ordained to hear it, with power and glory for you.

Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that you deliver me from unreasonable and wicked people. You are faithful, and you establish me and guard me from the evil one.

I have confidence that, from you, through you, and to you, I will obey, and be pleasing to you. For you, Father, Son, and Spirit direct my heart to and with divine love and easy patience.

Did Not But Had

2 Thessalonians 1&2

Thank you, Father, that you count me worthy of your calling, and you work your goodness into me and out of me, for your good pleasure. I live in faith by communion with the power and person of your Holy Spirit, who dwells in me. In that way, you, Father, glorify the Lord Jesus through my life.

Now concerning the coming of the Lord Jesus, that day does not come until there is a huge falling away, and the man of sin revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself against all that is you, Heavenly Father.

The mystery of this lawlessness is already at work, but you restrain it, according to your pleasure, but at some point, you will withdraw your restraining power, and then the lawless one will be revealed.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish. They refuse the love of the truth by which they might be saved.

For this reason, you send them a strong delusion that they believe the lie and are condemned because they did not believe, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Now and Forever

1 Thessalonians 5

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that your grace is with me, and by your grace and presence dwelling in me, I know some thing’s as you give me sight and understanding. I know that your day will come like a thief in the night.

The world system will be saying,“peace and safety”, and our father will decree sudden destruction, but by your grace and scripture, I am not in darkness. That day shall not overtake me as a shock, because you have made me a child of light, a child of the day.

So, I stay awake, and I take my life from you, Father, seriously. I guard my heart, with your promise of love, through faith in all you say and do in me.

Father, my mind stays on the hope I have in my salvation by Jesus Christ. I am comforted and built up in faith and peace, because I know that whether awake or asleep, I live together with your people and with my Lord Jesus, now and forever.

Always Be With You

1 Thessalonians 4

I thank you, Father, that it is your will that I am sanctified and that I continue to be sanctified day by day. As you mature me in my faith, I know how to possess my own vessel in sanctification and honor, and not in the passion of lust

For you, Lord, did not call me to uncleaness, but to holiness. You have given me your Holy Spirit to work out this holiness, and I am joyfully surrendered to your will and work in me. My goal, Lord, is to serve and obey you.

I aspire to lead a quiet life and to mind my own business, and to work with joy with my hands. In this way, I walk properly with all who are around me, and I lack nothing in my life.

By your word, and through your spirit, Lord, I know that, at the Father’s appointed time, you, Lord Jesus, will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.

Then the dead in Christ will rise, and all who are alive and remain, will be caught up in the clouds, and we will all meet you in the air, Lord Jesus. And from then on, we will always be with you.

For His Glory

1 Thessalonians 1; Colossians 4; 1 Thessalonians 2

Thank you, Father, for opening my eyes and my heart to your truth and to my desperate need for salvation. Your gospel has come to me in word and power and in the presence of your Holy Spirit.

You work in my will and in my ability. I walk in faith and in the work you have for me. It is a labor love from you and through me and back to you. All my life is now lived in the patience of hope in my Lord Jesus Christ and in your sight, Heavenly Father.

I continue earnestly in prayer. I am vigilant, and I abound in thanksgiving. I walk in wisdom toward those who are outside. I make good use of the time. I speak with your grace, seasoned with salt, as I answer each one who asks the reason for the divine hope that is in me.

By your work for me and in me, Lord Jesus, I stand perfect and complete in the will of God, our father. He has called me into his kingdom for his glory, and by his grace and person in me, I walk worthy of all that call.
