Before My Eyes

Psalms 98, 99, 100; Hebrews 12; Psalms 101; Mathew 5

I break forth in song to you, my great and loving father. I shout joyfully before you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

The sea roars. The rivers clap their hands. The hills are joyful before you. You are coming to judge the earth. Your righteousness shall judge the world and the people. You are God, and you reign.

I exalt you. You are the only true God and the earth is your footstool. You are Holy.

I make a joyful shout to You, Lord. I serve you with gladness. I am in your presence with singing. You are God.

You have made me and I am yours, and I am joyfully like a sheep in your pasture.I keep my eyes on you, Lord Jesus, and you are the author and finisher of my life story.

Today by your grace, father, and led by you, Holy Spirit, I will behave wisely in a perfect way. I will set nothing wicked before my eyes. My heart will be pure toward you, father, and I will see you all day.

Benefits

Psalms 68; Romans 5; Psalms 68

Father, arise. Arise and scatter your enemies. Let those who hate you flee before you. Drive them away like smoke in the wind. Melt them like wax in the fire. Let the wicked perish in your presence, Lord.

Let the righteous be glad. Let me humbly recognize that my righteousness is a gift to me from your love, father, through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. I rejoice before you. I rejoice exceedingly.

I sing to you, Lord. I sing praises to your name. I extol you, great God who rides on clouds.

You are a father to the fatherless, a defender of the widows. You bring your children out of bondage and lead us into prosperity.

You go before us and the earth shakes. You bring us back from being lost. You bring back from the depths of the sea. Blessed be you, Lord. You daily load me with benefits. You are the God and source of my salvation.

Easy

Lamentations 3; Matthew 11

Thank you, Lord, that by your mercies I have not been consumed by darkness and lust. Your compassion for me does not fail. It leads me to salvation. Your mercy to me is new every morning. Thank you.

You are my portion, father, therefore, I hope in you. I wait upon you. I seek you. I fellowship and commune with you, and you are good to me. I seek you and you are pleased with me.

I belong to you and I am yoked to you. That is good. In you I find my hope and my quiet rest. In you, father, I have salvation.

Daily I come to you and you give me rest. I take your yoke upon me, Lord Jesus, and I learn from you. For you are meek and lowly and I find rest for my soul. For your burden is light and your yoke is easy.

Instant in Prayer

Romans 12

Thank you, Father, for giving me a measure of faith. Continue to transform me, Lord. Renew my mind by your holy word and your Spirit dwelling in me so that, today, I will live in your perfect will.

Today I am a member of your body, the church. We are many members in one body with Jesus Christ as the head, and individually we, as your children, are members of one another.

We have gifts that differ according to your grace, father, but we all use our gift to minister as you decide.

Today, Holy Spirit, fill me and lead me that my love for others would be real and right, that I would honor others and be diligent to serve with joy, and that I would be fervent in spirit.

Today, Lord, because of your grace, I rejoice in hope, I am patient in tribulation, and I continue instant in prayer.

Strange Land

Psalms 118 & 119

I give thanks to you, Lord, for you are good and your mercy endureth forever. Jesus, the Christ, is your chief cornerstone. I believe and receive him as my Lord and Savior.

His life and your provision of him as propitiation for my sins is marvelous in my sight. He is the way that you have provided, and I rejoice and I am glad in it.

You have answered my needs and you have become my salvation. In Christ you have opened to me the gates of righteousness. You have called me and moved me so that I would go through those gates and enter your kingdom.

With your word you have cleansed my ways. Your word is hidden in my heart so that I will not sin against thee, father. You deal bountifully with me that I may live to keep your word.

You open my eyes and I see the wondrous things of your law. Now I see through your spirit and I see that I am a sorjourner in a strange land.

Joy and Wisdom

2 Corinthians 5; Psalms 119

Thank you, Father, that by your grace you impute Jesus’ righteousness to my account. To justify me you made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for me, so that I become righteousness before you, father, in Christ.

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. Your law is truth. Your commandments are my delight. You give me understanding and, in understanding you, I receive eternal life.

I rise in the morning and call out to you, father. I find hope in your word and in your presence with me through the Holy Spirit.

You revive me according to your word. Great are your tender mercies to me, Lord. My heart stands in awe of your word. I rejoice in your word. I have peace in your word and nothing causes me to stumble.

I find hope in your salvation. I am a doer of your word. Your word enlivens my soul. I love your word, and the joy of your promises, and the wisdom of your precepts. All my ways are before you, father. I rest in you.

Riches of God’s Glory

Romans 10 & 9

Lord Jesus, I put my faith in you. You are the end of the law of righteousness. Help my unbelief. Strengthen my faith every day, Lord.

By your grace and for your purposes, father, you elected me before I was born that your purposes would stand. You chose to love me. Thank you, Father.

You have mercy and compassion on me. That is not because of my great will or “good” behavior, rather it is because you are almighty God and you will have mercy on whom you will and you will harden whom you will.

I am formed by you. It is not my place to question your purposes with me. You, father, are the potter and the potter has power over the clay.

I thank you that you chose to place me in Christ and thereby, because of Jesus’ righteousness, you made me a vessel of honor, and you made known the riches of your glory on vessels of mercy.

Glorious

Psalms 19; Colossians 3; Psalms 19

Fill me today, Father, with your word. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to the word and to your glorious presence in me that I would set my heart on things above and not on the things of this world.

Today, by your power, Holy Spirit, the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart will be acceptable in your sight, oh Lord.

Your law, oh Lord, is perfect and it converts my soul. Your testimony is sure and your words make me wise. Your statutes are right and they give joy to my heart. Your commandments are pure and they enlighten me. Fearing you is clean and cleanses me forever. Your judgments are altogether true and righteous.

I desire your presence in me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Your truth and light and conversion and joy and temperance are better than gold, lots of gold. Your presence and your word is sweet to my taste. Your presence and your word are glorious.

Raised

Romans 8

By your grace, father, you predestined me to be born again and to be transformed by being conformed to the image of your son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Christ.

This is all your gracious, supernatural work. You predestined me. You called me. You justified me, and you glorify me. I am sanctified and glorified by your presence with me and in me. Your Holy Spirit, father, fills me and leads me.

Holy Spirit, you help me in my weakness. You make intercession for me. You search my heart and you renew my mind so that, I begin to know, and to see, and to follow, and to like the will of God, my father.

I am no longer led by the flesh because you, God the Spirit, dwell in me. My body is dead because of sin but my spirit is alive forever because of righteousness.

You, the Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead, dwell in me and you give life to my mortal body and peace and joy to my soul.

Way of Life

Romans 8; 2 Peter 1; Ephesians 2

Thank you, Father, that nothing can separate me from your love for me which is poured out, and poured into me, in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

Through your divine, everlasting, and perfect love, I am more than a conqueror. By your loving grace and Jesus’ sacrifice and righteousness, I am set free from all the guilt, condemnation, fear, and regret that could be mine because of my past rebellion and selfishness.

No accusations can cloud my joy because you, father, are for me. With Christ you have freely given me all things that pertain to life and godliness through my living knowledge of you, father.

I do not deserve such forgiveness and peace, but you give it to me as a free gift, and I humbly receive it as the only true way of life.
