Against You

Romans 6; Psalm 51; 2 Timothy 2; Romans 12

By your grace and presence in me, Lord Jesus, I have been set free from sin, and I have become your joyful slave. Once I was slave to sin, but finally, I saw what rotten fruit that situation produced.

Thank you, father, that you opened my eyes, and I saw that my sin was against you, and that the wages of that sin were death. You granted me repentance, and I turned back to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I’m filled with the fruit of holiness and living now in everlasting life. I am in Christ Jesus. He is my lord, and I have the gift of God, eternal life.

Hallelujah, sin no longer reigns in my mortal body. I do not obey it in its lusts. Now I present myself to you, Father, as one who is alive from the dead, and I present the members of my body as instruments of righteousness to you.

Sin no longer has dominion over me for I am under your grace, Lord Jesus Today I present my body to you as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you.

You Did

James 1; Romans 7&8

Father, today I lay aside all filthiness and the overflowing wickedness of the flesh, and I actively and joyfully, with meekness, receive your engrafted word which saves my soul and fills me with your divine life.

I kneel down and study your perfect law of liberty. I continue with that, and the word does in me all that you sent it to do and all that you empower it to do. Therefore, I am blessed in all that I do.

I delight in your law, father, in my inward man. You deliver me through Jesus Christ from this fleshy body of death, and with my renewed mind, I am an instrument of service to you.

I give thanks to you, father, through Christ that there is no condemnation for me for I am in Christ Jesus. I no longer walk according to the flesh, but now I walk according to your Spirit. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.

Father, what the law could not do, you did by sending your own son to account for sin.

Christ Jesus

Romans 5,8,5,&6

Hallelujah Father, today I receive the abundance of your grace and the gift of your righteousness, and therefore, I reign in life today. That is, I have no fear of death or what man might do to me. Through Christ’s righteousness I am justified.

Justification is a free gift given to me by your grace, Father. I did not earn it or deserve it, but I don’t have to. It is a free gift given to me by the decision of you, God, my Father.

Now I’m baptized into Christ Jesus. I was buried with him through baptism into death, and just as Christ was raised from the dead by your glory, Father, even so, now I walk in the newness of life.

I’m united with Jesus in the likeness of his death, and it is certain I shall also be united with my Lord in his resurrection.

I know that my old man was crucified with him so that my body of sin was done away with. Now I am no longer slave to sin. I live with Christ. The life he lives, he lives to God. I am indeed dead to sin, but alive to you, Father, in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

Go and Tell

Mathew 28; Galatians 5; Ephesians 4; Mathew 28

Lord Jesus, you have risen from the grave. The angel rolled away the stone and sat on it. You are no longer there, for you have risen, and you go on ahead of me. I will see you.

In the meantime, I hear your word, and I am led by your spirit. I rejoice in my salvation. I am not afraid. I go and tell.

You have all authority in heaven and on earth. In your authority I go and make disciples of those you send to me. I baptize them in the name of our Father, and you, the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. I teach them to love and to keep and to feed on your word. You are with me always, even to the end of the age.

Shine, Child, Shine

Psalm 119; Philippians 1&2

Father, I delight in your law. I am thankful for the afflictions that have broken me and caused me to learn your statutes. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I am revived by your word.

I am confident, father, that you have begun a good work in me, and that you will complete your work in me in a way that pleases you and is good for me.

Today, through you, Lord Jesus, I am filled with the fruits of your righteousness to the glory and praise of God, our father. Be magnified in my body today, Lord Jesus, whether by life or by death; for me to live is you, Lord Jesus, and to die is gain.

Today, Lord Jesus, by your presence in me, let me live my life in a manner worthy of your gospel. Work in me, Lord, that I would want to do, and that I would do the things that please you.

Take charge of me today, Lord Jesus, through your Holy Spirit that I would do all things without complaining and disputing; that I would be a blameless and harmless child of God, our father; that I would be without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; and that I would shine as a light in this world.

Fill My Sight

Psalm 119; Romans 12; 1 Peter 2; Psalm 119

Good morning, father. Today I take heed to your word. I hide your word in my heart and mind, and I do not sin against thee. You open my eyes that I see some of the wondrous things of your law and provision. You have truly dealt bountifully with me.

You have transformed me by renewing my mind. I have become a stranger in this earth. I am a sojourner and pilgrim in this world. You have called me out of the darkness of this world system and brought me into the marvelous light of your salvation. I once was lost, but now I am your man.

Now you teach me your statutes, and I keep them to the end. You give me understanding, and I’m able to obey your will. I delight in your word. I turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. I walk in liberty because your precepts fill my sight.

Day by Day

2 Corinthians 7&6

I thank you, father, that godly grief produces repentance that leads to salvation without regret. The grief I have suffered because of my sinful and selfish choices has taught me the lie and the cost of ungodly thinking.

This knowledge has produced in me an earnestness to follow you closely. I am eager for your word and for your constant fellowship. I long for quiet and peace with you, father.

I am angry at sin, and I call it a liar. I have a zeal to share your word, and I take great joy in singing your praises.

I am your temple, Lord. You make your dwelling in me, and you walk with me. You are my God, and I am your man. I go out into this world, but I am no longer of this world. I touch no ungodly thing, nor do I believe the report of the world.

You, father, are my father, and I am your son. You continue to cleanse me in body and spirit. You bring your holiness to completion in me day by day.

Precious

Isaiah 43

Lord Jesus, I am your servant, and you have chosen me. You have caused me to be born again and opened my eyes so that I may know you and believe you. I understand that you are the Christ, the one sent by God, our Father, to save me.

There is no God beside you and none that will come after you. You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are Almighty God. You declare, and you save.

I am a witness that you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are God. You are the great, “I am”. No one can deliver me out of your hand. The things that you do, and the work that you ordain, cannot be stopped and cannot be reversed.

I am a Christian, and I am created for your glory. You formed me for yourself so that I would declare your glory and praise.

You have redeemed me from bondage to condemnation. You have called me by name and made me yours. I do not fear. Whatever I have to pass through in this life shall not overflow me for you are my God. By your grace I am precious in your sight. You honor me, and you love me. You are always with me.

Knitted Together with My Lord

Isaiah 26&28; John 14&6; Colossians 1; Isaiah 40

Father my mind is stayed upon you and your character and your promises. My mind is renewed by your word. I trust in you, and you keep me in perfect peace. By your grace I will trust in you forever. You are everlasting strength.

Behold, you, father, have laid a stone for foundation. He is a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation. He is Jesus, your Christ, and my Lord. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

In him I find patience and justice. Righteousness is him and is his standard. Through him my covenant with death is annulled. In him I have eternal life. Jesus is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.

You, father, are the everlasting God. Jesus is your son, and he is co-equal with you. He is God. He is creator. He is sustainer. He is Lord, and he is the reconciler of men like me back to you.

By your grace, father, I am knitted together by you with my Lord Jesus, and he renews my strength every day. Every day I am refreshed, and I run and I’m not weary, and I walk and do not faint.

Beyond All Words

Romans 3; 1 Corinthians 6; Isaiah 12

Lord God, thank you for your forgiveness and for your grace to see to my salvation. For I was a sinner and had fallen short in many ways of your glory. I was not fit to even live. But, you revealed your righteousness; a righteousness established by Jesus, the Christ.

Through Christ, by your grace, I was justified. Through Christ I am redeemed. I was lost in sin, but now, in Christ, I am washed and sanctified. I am justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by your Holy Spirit, father.

Lord, I praise you. You had the right to be angry with me, but you turned away from your anger, and you comforted me. You are my salvation. I trust in you, and I am not afraid. You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are my song, and you have become my salvation.

With joy I draw water from the wells of salvation. I praise you, father. I declare your great and marvelous deeds. Your name is exalted. I sing to you for you have done excellent things. You are great beyond all words.
