Complete

2 Corinthians 13; Colossians 1 &2

Thank you, God, my father, for your love for me. Thank you, Jesus, for your divine grace upon me, and thank you, Holy Spirit, for your steadfast communion with me.

Take charge of me today, Lord, so that in every way I will walk in a manner pleasing to you. Today I will be fruitful in every good work and increase in my knowledge of you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Today by your love, and grace, and communion, I am strengthened with almighty might, according to your glorious power unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness.

I thank you, father, that you have made me able to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and translated me into the kingdom of your dear son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In him I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sin. I am complete in him; filled with eternal life.

A Light

Luke 1

Blessed are you, Almighty God, my father. You are with me, and you have redeemed me. You have raised Jesus, my savior, up clearly in front of my eyes. You promised through your prophets from the very beginning of the world that Jesus would be my salvation.

Through Christ Jesus I am saved from guilt, condemnation, and death. The devils cannot touch me because I belong to you, father, through Christ, and I am guarded by you, Holy Spirit.

You fill me with your presence and mercy. I remember your covenant. You have granted me redemption and delivered me from bondage so that I can serve you without fear. I am in communion with you, father, in holiness and righteousness all the days of my life.

I am now an instrument in your hands, father. I walk with you. Through me you give knowledge of your salvation to others. You speak through my life to others of the remission of sin and of your tender mercy.

You make my life a light to those who sit in darkness and who are under the shadow of death. You guide our feet into the way of peace.

Eternal and Almighty

Luke 11; 2 Corinthians 4

Thank you, father, for the gift of your Holy Spirit. The ministry of your Holy Spirit is glorious. It is the ministration of your holiness and righteousness to me, and in me, and with me, and upon me.

I am a clay jar filled with a treasure who is your Holy Spirit, Father. Anything that I “do” with excellence is your “doing” through me. But, I still get to be a part of those divine adventures. You fill me, Holy Spirit, so that I live ceaselessly in your presence now. The very life and nature of Jesus dwells in me now.

You, Lord Jesus, manifest yourself in my mortal flesh. So death is working in me, but divine life is also working in me. I know that God, our father, who raised you up, Lord Jesus, will also raise me up and present me to himself.

Therefore, I do not ever lose heart. Even though outwardly I am perishing, inwardly I’m being renewed every moment, day by day.

Father, you are working in me your exceeding and eternal glory. I do not look at the things that are seen for they are transient. Instead, I look at your spirit in me. For his presence is eternal and almighty.

The Truth

Mark 12; John 3; Galatians 6

Lord Jesus, your word is the truth. There is one God, our father in heaven. There is none other than he.

To love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to loved ones neighbor as oneself is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

So, Holy Spirit, open my eyes and let me see the love that the father has for me. Soften my heart that I will love God, my father, with all my heart and soul and mind and strength, and that I will love others as I love myself. Draw me closer and closer to your kingdom.

I honor and praise you, Lord Jesus. I boast in your love for me and in your honor for God, our Father. That love and honor was shown to the world when you were lifted up on the cross. By you the world was crucified to me and I was crucified to the world.

I Am Saved

Mark 8; Colossians 1; Mark 8

Lord Jesus, I say that you are the Christ, the son of the almighty Living God. You are the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation. By you all things were created that were created.

You were before all things and in you all things consist. You are the head of the church which is your body, and you are preeminent in everything.

It pleases God, our father, that all the fullness of almighty God dwells in you. By your person and obedience to the father, I have been reconciled to God. I have peace with God, our Father, through your cross, Lord Jesus.

I once was alienated, but now I have been reconciled to our Father by you, Lord Jesus. Now, hallelujah, by your grace and sacrifice I can stand holy and blameless before the presence of God. Thank you.

I am mindful of the things of God. I desire to follow you, Lord Jesus. I deny myself. I take up my cross, and I follow you. You are my Lord and Savior, and my life belongs to you. I am saved.

The Hope that is in Me

2 Timothy 2; 1 Peter 3

Thank you, father, for your holy scriptures which are able to make me wise for your salvation which is mine through faith in Jesus Christ.

All your scripture is given by inspiration and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, so that I am complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work that you have ordained for me, Lord. By your word in me I have become your man.

Therefore, I stand strong in the grace that is in my Lord Jesus. I study your word and seek your presence. I am diligent to present myself to you, oh Lord, a worker who need not be ashamed; one who can rightly divide the word of truth.

You, Lord, know me, and you know I am yours. I am your servant, lord. I avoid foolish and ignorant disputes. I do not quarrel. I am gentle to all. I’m willing to teach, and I am patient. In humility I will correct those in opposition to you, father, praying, Lord, that you will grant them repentance.

I sanctify you, Lord Jesus, in my heart, and I am ready to give an answer to everyone who asked me for the reason for the hope that is in me, with gentleness and respect.

Biblical Thanksgiving

Personal Thoughts

Biblical thankfulness is being thankful for what God has done; therefore, we need to know the word of God enough to know what God in Christ has done for us.

Colossians 1:9-14 Here Paul doesn’t pray for what they don’t have, he prays they will grow in their awareness and understanding of what they do have. I need to come to, daily and moment by moment, a greater understanding that by God’s grace and Christ’s courage, I have been qualified, delivered, transferred, redeemed, and forgiven.

When I realize what I have in Christ, if I really experientially realize, then I can be thankful in all situations, not thankful for all circumstances, but thankful in all circumstances. I can understand and find hope in the fact that no matter how bad this earthly situation, the real eternal situation is filled with hope and assured of joy.  I need to understand, pray, and believe that I have all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called me to his own glory and excellence.

Once for All

Hebrews 10; 2 Timothy 2:21

Lord Jesus, you have been offered once to bear my sins and the sins of many. You will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save me and all those who eagerly await your coming.

The law was but a shadow of the good things to come. It could never make perfect those who draw near. Consequently, you, Lord Jesus, came into the world. You came and did God, our father’s, will.

In your life and sacrifice you did away with the first covenant to establish the second. By your obedience, I have been sanctified through the offering of your body, Lord Jesus, once for all.

You, Lord, offered for all time a single sacrifice for sin, and then you sat down at the right hand of God, our father, and now you wait on your enemies to be made your footstool.

By your single offering you perfected me for all time. I am your vessel prepared for honorable use, Lord Jesus, set apart as holy, useful to you, Lord, ready for every good work.

Every Situation and Circumstance

Philippians 2

Praise you, father, for your presence in me. Today, I do all things without grumbling or disputing, and in that, I am a blameless and innocent child of yours, father, without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation.

Your presence shines out of me as a light in this world. I hold fast to your word, father, so then in the day of Christ, I may be glad that I did not run in vain.

I study and hold on to the salvation you have granted to me. I do this with fear and trembling, because I know it is you, father, working in me, both to will and to work your good pleasure.

Today, I do nothing from selfish ambition, but in humility, I count others as more significant than myself. I look not only to my own interest, but also I look out for the interest of others.

I have the mind of Christ in every situation and circumstance. Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life, father, to your glory and praise.

Thankful

Colossians 3

By your grace and by the light of your living word, father, I begin to see things as you see them. I set my mind on things above and not on the things of this earth. For I have died to my flesh, and my life is hidden with Christ in you, father.

I have put off the old man with his selfish passions, and I have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge in accordance with your image, father.

For you created me to be yours in Christ Jesus. Now it is not about my age or gender or nationality, but instead, it is all about who I am in Christ. I belong to Jesus, and He is all, and He is in all.

I am elected by you, father, and I am holy and beloved by you. I put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, and meekness. I am patient, and I am not easily provoked. I forgive others even as Christ forgives me.

I put on your divine love, father. I am loved by you, and out of that love I seek to love others. I live in a perfect bond with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Your peace rules in my heart, and I am thankful.
