Transformed

Mathew 16; Romans 1

Lord Jesus, I say that you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. You are the rock upon which God, our father, has built his church and upon which my salvation is assured.

I listen to your words, Lord Jesus, and I thank you for your love for me and for your grace to me. Today I am mindful of you, Lord. I savor the things of God.

Give me courage and strength today to deny myself and to take up my cross and to follow you in faith. With joy, I lose my life for your sake, Lord Jesus, and now, hallelujah, I find real life in you.

I see your mercy to me, Lord, and I offer my body to you today as a living sacrifice. I am holy because you dwell in me, and you are holy. I am acceptable because I am in Christ and have been cleansed and justified.

Today, I am transformed into the man you created me to be by the renewing of my mind. I rejoice in hope. I am patient in tribulation, and I am instant in prayer.

Cannot Be Cut Off

Isaiah 55; John 1; 1 Peter 1; Romans 15; Isaiah 55

Father, your word has gone forth from your very mouth and, by your grace, your word has come to me, and it has accomplished your purposes with me. Your word has prospered me.

Your word has become light and life to me. I have been born again by your incorruptible seed which is your word, which lives and abides forever. Your word, oh Lord, endures forever. Through your word your gospel was preached to me.

Now I am filled with your joy and peace, father. I abound in hope by the power of your Holy Spirit.

I go out with joy and I am led with peace. The mountains and the hills break forth with singing before me. All the trees of the field clap their hands to praise you, father.

You convert thorns to soft Cypress and briars to green leaves. You are the God of Hope and Redemption. Your kingdom is everlasting and cannot be cut off.

Partaker

Isaiah 55; Colossians 1

Lord, I receive you and trust you by faith. I realize that your thoughts are not my thoughts and that your ways are not my ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are your ways and your thoughts beyond my understanding.

But now, by your grace, I have been born again and Christ is in me by the gift of the Holy Spirit so I can begin to understand some of your ways, father.

I am filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that I do walk worthy of you, Lord, fully pleasing to you, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of you, father.

Today, I am strengthened with all might according to your glorious power, with all patience and longsuffering with joy.

I thank you, father, that you have made me qualified to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. Hallelujah, you have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of your son, the kingdom of your Divine love.

Better Covenant

Isaiah 55

Today, Lord, I seek you and I find you. I call on you because you are near. By your grace, I have been cleansed and justified. My mind is renewed; my character transformed. I have forsaken wicked ways and turned away from unrighteous thoughts.

I have returned to you, father, and you have had mercy on me and you have pardon me abundantly.

Now I do not spend my wealth on things that are not real life, and I do not spend my time on things that do not bless my spirit. Instead, I listen carefully to you, Lord. I feed upon your word, Lord. My soul is delighted in your abundant life, Lord Jesus.

I incline my ear, my whole self, and I come to you, Lord. I commune with you and I hear, and my soul fills with life.

You have made an everlasting covenant with me, even better than your covenant with David. You have adopted me into a huge family that I did not know before, and you have sent your Christ, the Holy One of Israel, to be my Lord and Savior. By his grace I am justified, sanctified, and glorified.

Brought Back

Isaiah 53; Romans 8

Lord Jesus, for me you poured out your soul unto death. You bore my iniquities. You bore my griefs and carried my sorrows. You were wounded for my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities. By your stripes I am healed.

I had gone astray. I had turned away to my own selfish and hateful agenda, and God, our father, laid on you all of my iniquity.

Lord Jesus, in my sin and selfishness I did not see you. I turned my face away from you and away from God, my father. I did not esteem you.

But you, father, were patient with me. You foreknew me and you had predestined me to be yours. You worked things out in my life so that my flesh was broken. You granted me repentance and nurtured the faith you had placed in me.

By your grace you called me and brought me back to you. Through Jesus, your Christ, I am justified and I will be glorified. You are for me so nothing can prevail against me

Cleansed My Sin

Psalm 51

Thank you, lord, that you are merciful to me in accord with your loving kindness. You blot out my transgressions in accordance with your tender mercy. You have washed me from my iniquities and cleansed me from my sin.

I acknowledge and confess my transgressions. I see my sin. It is ever before me. It was against you, father, that I sinned. I know I have done evil in your sight, and I confess it as sin against you.

Thank you, father, that through Christ’s death on the cross you have purged me as if with hyssop and I am clean. You have washed me and I am whiter than snow.

I hear you, father. I hear your joy and gladness at my salvation. You broke me down so that I would repent and return to you. Now I can rejoice.

You have created a new nature in me with a clean heart. You have renewed a steadfast Spirit in me. Now I am in Christ and you will never cast me away. Your spirit will always be with me. I am filled with the joy of my salvation.

I See

John 6; Mathew 6

Father, in your word I see your son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and I believe that he is your Messiah and my Lord and Savior. Through faith in Jesus I believe that I have everlasting life and that you will raise me up in the last days. It is your grace and your work, father, to see that I believe.

You know the things I need, father, even before I ask. So, I do not worry about my life. For the life you give me is more than food and clothing. It is more than worldly wealth.

I know I cannot serve God and mammon, so help me, lord, each day to lay up for myself treasure in heaven where mothes or rust or inflation or troubles cannot eat up or destroy. For where my treasure is there will my heart be also.

So by your grace, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I do not worry. You know the things I need and the things that are best for me. Today I seek first the kingdom of God and the righteousness that is mine in Christ Jesus, and all the other things are added to me.

What You Require

Micah 5&6

Lord Jesus, Micah writes that you will come out of Bethlehem. That you will come out from there to serve God, our father. That you are the ruler, and that your advent, and mission and victory, have been known from old and from everlasting.

You will stand and you will feed your flock. In your name and in the strength of God, our father, your flock will abide. You, Lord Jesus, will be great to the ends of the earth and in you will be real, divine peace.

By your grace and sacrifice, Lord Jesus, you brought me up out of sin and reconciled me back to the father. You redeemed me from bondage. You sent prophets and apostles and witnesses before me. You enlightened the eyes of my understanding so that I could know your righteousness.

You have shown me, Lord Jesus, what is good; what you require of me. By your grace and indwelling spirit, today, I will do justly; I will love mercy; I will walk humbly before you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Joy and Gladness

Psalms 51; Ephesians 2; Psalms 51; Romans 5; Psalms 51

Thank you, father, that you teach me wisdom and fill me with truth. I was born with a selfish, murderous nature. I sinned against thee, father. I have done much evil in your sight.

But, in accordance with your steadfast love you had mercy on me. You washed me thoroughly from my iniquities and you cleansed me from my sin.

On the cross, through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and suffering, I was purged clean with hyssop and washed whiter than snow. I did not deserve such mercy, but, by your grace, you chose to do these things to redeem me, and you gave me salvation as a free gift.

Now I hear your joy and gladness at my return to you, father. You have created a clean heart in me and you have filled me with your Divine Spirit. You have called me into your presence, and you commune with me.

I am filled with joy, because I was lost, but now, in Christ, I have salvation and eternal life. I sing of your perfect righteousness, oh Lord. My mouth declares your praise. My heart is tender and belongs to you, father. I am humble and joyous before you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Not on the Faith

Romans 14

Today, Lord, I do not quarrel over opinions. People believe different things about faith. It is not my job to pass judgment on the servant of another. It is before their own master that they will stand or fall.

Lord Jesus, I wait up on you. I am your servant, and you dwelling in me makes me stand. As long as I live, I live unto you, Lord, and when I die, I die to you, Lord. Whether I live or die I belong to you, Lord Jesus.

So, I do not pass judgment on the faith of my brother. For we all stand before the judgment seat of God. There, Lord Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that you are Lord. Yes, each of us will give an account to God. So I strive to never put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of my brother.

Your kingdom, Lord, is not a matter of fleshy rules, but instead, the kingdom of God is about righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever serves you this way, Lord Jesus, is acceptable to God, our father.
