He That is in Me

Colossians 3, Galatians 2, Romans 5, 1 John 4 & 5

Hallelujah! I am hidden with Christ in God. It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. Your love, father, is poured out into my heart by your Holy Spirit whom you have given to me.

So, today I walk in your spirit, and I do not fulfill the lusts of my flesh. The flesh lusts against the spirit, but I am led by you, Holy Spirit, and I am not under the law of sin and death.

Instead, by your grace, and love, and communion, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, there is no condemnation for me because the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.

Now, Lord Jesus, you dwell in me forever so that greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. I know that you love me, father, because you sent your only begotten son into this world so that I would have eternal life with you through him.

I believe that Jesus is your son, father. And I believe that he is your Messiah, and that he is my savior. In this faith I have your victory, and I have overcome the world.

Kept in Heaven for Me

1 Peter 1

Blessed are you, my God and the father of my Lord Jesus Christ. By your grace and power you predestined me, and you elected me to be sanctified by your Holy Spirit for obedience. You saw to it that I was cleansed by the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.

Grace and peace are multiplied to me. According to your abundant mercy, father, you have begotten me again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Now I am an heir to an inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled; an inheritance that will never fade away; that is kept in heaven for me.

In all this I greatly rejoice even though sometimes in this life I suffer various trials. In this world the genuineness of my faith is tested.

Lord, keep yourself strong in me that I always am found to the praise and honor and glory of my Lord Jesus Christ.

You, God, are Not Slack

2 Peter 2

Hallelujah Lord, you know how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and how to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.

You judge harshly especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. That type of person is presumptuous and self-willed. They speak evil of glorious, dignified, and godly desires and beliefs.

These lost people are like natural brute beasts. They will utterly perish in their own corruption. They have forsaken the right way and gone astray. They love the wages of unrighteousness.

These people are wells without water. They speak great swelling words of emptiness. They promise freedom, but, in truth, make all slaves to corruption.

But, father, you are God and you are not slack concerning your promises. Your judgment day will come when it is least expected, but it will come. Then the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and elements will melt with fervent heat.

Then we look for a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells for eternity.

Here I Am

Isaiah 8

I am not afraid of evil tidings on earth because my heart is fixed on you, Lord. I do not fear the things the unsaved fear, nor am I afraid as they are.

You speak your word to me, Lord. You guide me with a strong hand, and you instruct me that I should not walk in the way of fearful people.

So, I do not join with the fearful conspiracy group. I am not afraid of the threats they see, or the threats they make.

Instead, I sanctify the Lord Jesus in my heart, and I am not troubled. God, my heavenly father, is the one I fear. His is the opinion that I care about.

You, father, are my sanctuary. You are a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to much of the world. Your plan for a savior is a trap and a snare to many.

But I wait upon you, Lord. I hope in you and in Jesus, your Messiah, and my Lord and Savior. Now, here I am with you and all the children you have called to be yours.

Precious in Your Sight

Isaiah 43; Psalm 23

Hallelujah, I do not fear, Lord, for you have redeemed me. You call me by name, and I am yours. Whatever I pass through in this life you are with me. Things cannot overwhelm me. I can walk through the hard things and not be destroyed because you are with me, Lord.

You are the Lord my God. You are holy, and you are my savior. By your merciful love I am precious in your sight. Thank you, Lord, for that mercy.

I do not fear for you are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me. You call me by name. You have created me for your glory.

You, Lord Jesus, are my shepherd, and I want for nothing. You make me lie down in green pastures. You lead me besides still waters. You restore my soul. You lead me in paths of righteousness for your glory.

You cover me with your Holy Spirit. I am filled and overflowing with your presence. Goodness and mercy follow me always, and I dwell in your house, father, forever.

Forever and Always

Isaiah 43

Lord God you chose me, and I am your slave. You gave me faith so that I could know you and believe you. I understand that you are God. You are the only God. There are no others.

There will never be another God. You are God forever and always. You are the only savior. Through Jesus Christ, your son, you provide and declare your salvation to me.

Then you fill me with your Spirit and transform me so that I become a witness to your glory and majesty. You guard me so that no one can deliver me out of your hand. You do your work, father, and no one can reverse or undo or stop your work.

You are the Lord, the Holy One. You are my creator. You formed me for yourself. You find pleasure and fellowship with me. I declare praise of you to all who are around me.

Raised in Power

1 Corinthians 15

I believe that you, Jesus, the Christ, died for my sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that you were buried, that you were raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that you appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then you appeared to more than 500 brothers at one time, most of whom were still alive when these words were written.

“If Christ had not been raised, then our preaching and our faith would be in vain. But, in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For Christ is the first fruit, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.  Then comes the end when he delivers the kingdom to God, my Father, after destroying every rule and every authority and power.”

I know that what is sown does not come to life unless it dies. So, it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.  It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.

Preach Grace

Acts 20 & 22

Lord, I do not account my life as precious to me; if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I have received from you, Lord Jesus; that is to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.   That I would believe and live out, and then declare things that are profitable, the whole counsel of God, that is repentance towards God, the Father, and faith in the Lord Jesus, the Christ.

I commend myself and those whom you have given me, Lord, to God the Father and to the word of your grace, which is able to build each of us up and to give us the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

I believe that the God of my fathers has appointed me to know his will, to “see” the righteous one and to “hear” his words. I am to be a witness for him to whomever he sends me to and to whomever is sent to me. By your grace, Lord, I will live and preach your grace.

Look to Jesus

Hebrews 12

Today, I look to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of my faith. I keep my thoughts on him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself so that I do not grow weary or faint hearted.

I thank you, Lord, that you discipline the ones you love. You have disciplined me for my good that I may share your holiness. Therefore, I lift up drooping hands and strengthen weakened knees and head in straight paths.

I see to it that I, and anyone who asks, do obtain the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up to defile and cause trouble.  I hold onto and value highly the birthright God, my Father, has decreed and Jesus, my Lord, has provided.

I am, by God’s grace, one of the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven.  I am grateful to receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and I give my God worship with reverence and awe.

Risen with Christ

Colossians 3

I am risen with Christ and I seek those things which are above where Jesus, the Christ, sits at the right hand of God. I set my affections on things above and not on things on the earth.  For I am dead, and my life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is my life shall appear then I will appear with him in glory.

Christ is all and in all. The peace of God rules in my heart and I am thankful.

The word of Christ dwells in me richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing me in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. I sing with grace in my heart to the Lord.  Whatever I do, I do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Whatsoever I do, I do it heartily as to the Lord and not to man; knowing that from the Lord I shall receive the reward of the inheritance for I serve the Lord Christ.
