Always With Me

John 15&16

Father, I keep your word in front of my eyes. Your word lights my path and leads my thoughts.

Your words, Lord Jesus, remain in me and fill me with joy. You chose me and appointed me to go and bear fruit, fruit that would last.

Now I am no longer in this world because you chose me out of this world and made me yours. You chose me, Lord, and you call me friend. Now you have gone to the Father, but you have filled me with your spirit.

Now, you, Holy Spirit, have come to me. You are truth, and you guide me into all truth. You glorify Christ Jesus in me. You declare the words of Christ to me.

You, Holy Spirit, turn my sorrow into joy. You show me the love of the Father, and my heart rejoices with a joy that cannot be taken from me.

Now because I love you, Lord Jesus, and because I know you came forth from God, I know the Father himself loves me. I am never alone because you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are always with me.

A Lighthouse

John 15; Romans 8; 2 Corinthians 5; John 15

Lord Jesus, you are the true vine, and God, our Father, is the vinedresser. I am a branch in you, Lord Jesus. The Father prunes me so that I will bear fruit and more fruit.

I am clean because you, Lord Jesus, have washed me with your word. You have paid for my sins with your atonement, and now I am justified and reconciled to God, my Father.

I abide in you, Lord, and you abide in me. You are the vine, and I am the branch. I cannot yield anything of real value unless I abide in you.

I abide in you, and your word abides in me. I ask for the desires you place in my heart, and they are done for me. By this, God, the Father, is glorified in my life, and I know I am truly your disciple.

You love me, Lord Jesus, with a divine love. I keep your word in my mind and heart. I follow your word like a lighthouse. I abide in your love. Hallelujah, I am loved perfectly!!

Alive to You

Galatians 2&6; Colossians 6; Romans 6

Thank you, Father, for your grace and your provision of divine righteousness through Christ Jesus. I, through the law, have died to the law that I might live to you, Father.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in this flesh I live by faith in your son, my Lord Jesus, who loves me and gave himself for me.

I boast only in the life and the atoning sacrifice of my Lord Jesus, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I am crucified to the world. In Christ I am a new creature.

I have been raised with Christ, and I seek those things above, where Christ Jesus sits at your right hand, Father. I set my mind on things above and not on the things on earth, for I have died, and my life is hidden with Christ in you, Heavenly Father. When Christ who is my life appears, then I will appear with him in glory.

Now by your grace and revelation, Father, I reckon myself dead indeed to sin, but always alive to you in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

Treasure

Luke 12; 1 Corinthians 6; Luke 12

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that by your grace and your life in me, I am a servant of yours, faithful and alert. My waist is girded up, and my lamps are burning.

I am mature and steadfast as I wait on your return. I do not worry about my life for I belong to you, Lord. You have bought me with a price. You have given me your life, and now I belong to you.

My new life is more than food or clothing. You take care of the birds, and you surely take care of me. You clothed the earth with glorious blooms, and you will clothe me.

Therefore, I am not distracted by what I shall eat or wear. I know that my Heavenly Father knows what I need. Instead I seek your kingdom, Father, and all the things needed are added to me.

I do not fear for I know that it is your pleasure to give me the kingdom. I seek to be generous and joyous. I treasure the things of God. Things that do not fail and that thieves cannot steal and moths cannot destroy.

Full of Grace and Truth

John 1

Thank you, Father, for your grace and the gift of faith to believe and to receive Jesus and be born of you. Born of you, God, my Father. Not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born again by your will, Father.

Jesus was with you in the beginning, and everything that was made was made by him. In him, is your divine eternal life, and that life is the light of men. Now your light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not comprehend the light, but the darkness cannot overcome the light either.

You, Lord Jesus, became flesh and lived among men. Men and women saw your glory. They testified to your glory.

Now by your Holy Spirit, Jesus, you dwell in me. You are my Lord, and I am your slave. A slave to the freedom that is mine in you, Christ Jesus: a freedom full of grace and truth.

Good Things

Luke 1

Your Holy Spirit has come upon me, Father, and I am blessed and highly favored. I don’t understand why you love me, and I certainly don’t understand all your ways, but you have given me faith to believe your word.

Your spirit has testified to my spirit that you are able to do all you say and that you are present with me and in me now and forever.

In faith and love, I say, “Let it be to me, oh Lord, according to your word. I am your servant”. I am blessed with your gift of faith.

My soul magnifies you, Lord. My spirit rejoices in you, God, my Savior. You are mighty, and you have done great things for me. Holy is your name.

You have taught me living fear of you, and your mercy is on me. You have given me a hunger for you and then satisfied that hunger with good things. Thank you, Father, for your great grace and perfect love.

Peace in Your Kingdom

Mark 12; Psalm 23

Thank you, Father, for the understanding that you have given me. I know that you are God. You are the only God, and there is no other God but you.

I love you with all my heart, and with all my understanding, and with all my soul, and with all my strength, and I love my neighbor as I love myself. This dedication and dependence pleases you more than all tangible offerings and sacrifices.

This faithful position makes me a useful instrument to you. This steadfast attitude keeps me at peace in your kingdom.

You lead me, and I want for nothing. You make me lie down in lush pastures. You lead me beside refreshment and peace. You restore my lively hope. You lead me to your righteousness because I belong to you.

I abide with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit forever.

Empty of Myself

Philippians 2

Father, today I pray that you will fill me with courage; that Christ will always be honored in my flesh and in my life. Today my manner of life will be worthy of your gospel, Lord Jesus.

Today I stand firm, filled by your Holy Spirit with the mind of Christ, striving for the faith of the Gospel, and not frightened in anything by my opponents.

For it is granted by you, Father, for the sake of Christ, that I should not only believe in you, Lord Jesus, but that I should also be able to suffer for your sake.

I am in full accord with your mind; your thoughts, intents, and purposes, Lord Jesus. I do not look only to my own interest, but also to the interest of others.

I empty myself of myself, and take on the form of a servant. I work out my salvation with fear and trembling for it is you, father, who work in me both to will and to work for your good pleasure.

Today I do the things you place in front of me without grumbling or disputing. By your grace, Lord Jesus, I am a blameless and innocent brother of yours.

Now and Eternal

Proverbs 3&4

In Christ I have sound wisdom and discretion; I have life for my soul. I walk with you, Lord, securely, and my feet do not stumble. I lie down, and I am not afraid. My sleep is sweet.

You, oh Lord, are my confidence. You are my freedom. By your grace and wisdom, I am generous and helpful.

I am content, and I trust you, Lord. I don’t plan evil or seek vengeance. I do not envy others, and I am not devious.

I hold fast to your words, Lord Jesus. I keep my eyes on your words, and they give me life, sweet life now in this flesh and eternal life with you, Lord, in our Father’s kingdom. I stick with you, Lord, and you keep me.

I love you, and you guard me. I hear your words, and I accept them as truth, as salvation. I am attentive to your word, and I incline my ear to you, Holy Spirit.

Lord Jesus, you are life to my spirit and healing to my flesh. With your wisdom, I guard over my heart, for out of it flow the springs of life. I do not swerve to the right or left, and my way is sure.

Known to Me

Proverbs 1&2

Lord Jesus, thank you that you cried out to me, and you gave me the unction to turn to you at your call and your reproof. You pour out your spirit on me, and you make your words known to me.

You called me, and I did answer. You stretched out your hand, and I heeded your lead. I receive your words, and I treasure your commandments. My ear is attentive to you, Lord Jesus.

I seek you, Lord, like silver. I understand your sovereignty and holiness. I fear your rebuke. I want to live in perfect knowledge and communion with you, Lord, everyday and all day.

You give me wisdom. You are wisdom for me. You fill my heart, and your knowledge is pleasant to me. Your discretion, Lord, watches over me, and your understanding guards over me.

By your grace and power and presence, I am delivered from evil and from perverted speech.
