Known to Me

Proverbs 1&2

Lord Jesus, thank you that you cried out to me, and you gave me the unction to turn to you at your call and your reproof. You pour out your spirit on me, and you make your words known to me.

You called me, and I did answer. You stretched out your hand, and I heeded your lead. I receive your words, and I treasure your commandments. My ear is attentive to you, Lord Jesus.

I seek you, Lord, like silver. I understand your sovereignty and holiness. I fear your rebuke. I want to live in perfect knowledge and communion with you, Lord, everyday and all day.

You give me wisdom. You are wisdom for me. You fill my heart, and your knowledge is pleasant to me. Your discretion, Lord, watches over me, and your understanding guards over me.

By your grace and power and presence, I am delivered from evil and from perverted speech.

Redeemed and Freed

Psalm 34

Father, in awestruck humility, I hear from you in your word, and I hear of you through your witnesses, and I am filled with gladness.

I bless you, Lord, at all times, and praise for you is continually in my mouth. You chose me and called me. I sought you, and I found you. You heard my prayers, and you saved me and transformed me and delivered me from all my fears.

I looked to you as Almighty God and Savior, and my whole life changed. Now your angels encamp around me, and you deliver me.

I have tasted your presence and your way, and I know it is good. I trust in you, Father, and I am blessed. I seek you, Lord, and I lack no good thing.

I keep my tongue from evil, and my lips speak the truth. I do good. I seek peace and pursue it. You, Lord, have redeemed my soul and freed me from condemnation. Hallelujah.

Present In Me

John 6

Father, today by your grace, in your word, I see the Lord Jesus. I see him present in me and in my thoughts and desires. I see the transformation that is occurring in my life. I believe in Jesus as the Christ, and I acknowledge that he is my Lord and my Savior.

Through Christ I have everlasting life and the living hope that Jesus will raise me up in the last days.

I believe that Jesus is the bread of life. I have come to him, and through faith, I have received him as Lord. I shall never hunger or thirst for spiritual food again. I have it all in Christ. He claims me as his own, and he will never cast me out.

I am filled with Christ’s perfect life, and I am forgiven by his atoning sacrifice. I have eternal life and the promise of his resurrection at the appointed time.

I Know

Ezekiel 18

I know you judge each and every one, Father. I know you judge me according to my ways. I repent, Father, and turn from my transgressions. Iniquity is not my ruin.

I cast away all those lusts and desires and deceptions whereby I transgressed, and by your grace and promise, Father, I receive a new heart and your Holy Spirit, and now I live.

I live in Christ now, and I know that you, Father, take pleasure in my life. I have turned to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and I live.

A Peace Filled Niche

Matthew 4 & 5

I live and have Divine life by every word that proceeds from your mouth, Father. I do not test you, Lord, instead, I trust you. I worship you, Father, and I am your joyful slave.

I am a part of your kingdom, Lord, and I am humble and quick to repent. I follow you, Lord Jesus, and you use me as one of your ministers.

I hunger for your presence with me, and you give me yourself and your kingdom. By your grace, I am meek and lowly, and I find a peace filled niche in this world.

By your grace, Father, I am salt in this tasteless world, and I am light in a dark and dangerous world. None of this is my work, rather it is you working in me and transforming my will to agree with yours.

I am your son, Heavenly Father. I belong to you. I’m filled by your spirit, and my mind is renewed by your word. Therefore, I am perfect, just as you, Father, are perfect.

Your Sure Promise

1 John 1 & 2; John 6

Father, you are light, and in you is no darkness at all. John and the other apostles are eyewitnesses to your light and life. They heard Jesus, the word of life. They saw him. They looked upon him. They touched him.

Your eternal life in Christ Jesus manifested to them, and they came to believe, and now their words bear witness to and show me eternal life which is with you, Father, through Christ Jesus.

Through faith in Jesus, as the word of life, I have joy; full divine joy. Not joy as the world purports to give, but instead, joy that fills me so full, no matter the temporal circumstances, that I am free of the world’s lusts and worries.

It is divine joy because it is eternal. It does not depend on worldly circumstances. It does not fall for worldly deceit, instead it revels in your presence and pleasure, Father.

The world passes away, but by your grace, Father, I see Jesus, your son, and I believe on him, and I have everlasting life. I have your sure promise that you will raise me up again in the last days.

Grace and Peace Multiplied

2 Peter 1

I thank you, Father, that grace and peace are multiplied to me as I grow in knowledge and communion with you, my Heavenly Father, and with Jesus, my Lord.

You have supplied an entrance to your everlasting kingdom abundantly to me. I rejoice in this adoption into the kingdom, and I am diligent to make my call and election sure.

Through your power and presence in me, you have given me all things that pertain to life and godliness. You, Father, have called me to glory and virtue, and you have given me great and exceeding promises that through them I become a partaker of your divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lusts.

I am moved by your love and grace and promises, Father. For that reason, I’m diligent to add to my faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, and to knowledge temperance, and to temperance perseverance, and to perseverance Godliness, and to Godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

Loud and Powerful

Isaiah 8 & 9; Ephesians 2; 1 Peter 3; 2 Peter 1

Lord, you have spoken to me with a loud voice and powerful circumstances. You have instructed me not to walk in the ways of the world. I am not afraid of the threats of the lost leaders, and I am not troubled by the foolishness and ungodliness of the lost.

You are God. You are the Lord of Hosts, and I hallow you and your word. You are the only legitimate fear. It is you that I want to follow and you that I do not want to disappoint.

You have sent a savior, Jesus Christ, the Righteousness. To me he is a sanctuary. Too many he is a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. I wait on him, and in him, I place my hope.

Once I walked in darkness, but now by your grace, Father, in Christ, I have great light. I was blind, but now I see. I was lost, but now I am found. I was dead in sins and trespasses, but in your great mercy, Father, I am made alive.

So now everyday and all day I sanctify the Lord Jesus in my heart. I study to make my calling sure and to clearly understand the reason for the hope that I have in Christ Jesus.

Acceptable to God

Romans 16; 1 Corinthians 1; Romans 14

Thank you, father, for the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began, but is now made manifest by the scriptures of the prophets (and the apostles) according to your command, and now made known to all people for the obedience of faith.

You are faithful, father, and have called me into fellowship with your son, my Lord Jesus, the Christ. Your grace has been given to me by Jesus Christ, and I am sanctified in Christ Jesus.

You, the God of Hope, fill me with all joy and peace in believing so that I abound in hope through the power of your Holy Spirit who dwells in me.

I serve Jesus, my Lord, in these things, and I’m acceptable to God and approved by man. In Christ, I am blameless until the day of the Lord.

Your kingdom is not about food and drink ( religious rules and regulations), but instead, your kingdom is about righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Foolishness of Preaching

1 Corinthians 1

Father, you are faithful. You have called me into the fellowship of your son, Jesus Christ, my Lord. I thank you for your grace which is given to me by Jesus Christ. You have confirmed me to the end, that I am blameless in the day of my Lord Jesus, the Christ.

In everything I am enriched by Jesus. In all utterance and in all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ is confirmed in me, so that I am behind in no gift, as I wait on the coming of my Lord Jesus.

In the meantime, father, I listen to the preaching of the cross, which is a foolishness to those that are perishing, but to me, your child, the message of the cross is the power of God.

For you, father, have said, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” You make foolish the wisdom of this world.

For since, in it’s “wisdom”, the world knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believed.
