Guard the Good Deposit

2 Tim 1, Eph 1&2

Thank you, father God, that you have saved me and called me to a holy calling, not because of my works but for your own purpose and grace. Thank you for adopting me and redeeming me. Thank you that by your grace I am your workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that you ordained before hand that I would walk in.  I am yours and have been yours since before the foundation of the world.

Your grace and power, father, have been manifest through the appearing of my savior, Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and brought life in immortality to light through the gospel.  I believe the gospel. I am not ashamed for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that you, Lord, are able to guard until that day what you have entrusted to me.  Faith and love are in Jesus Christ and Christ dwells in me by the Holy Spirit.

Forever and Ever

Eph 1 & Heb 13

Blessed be you, my heavenly father, the God and father of my Lord Jesus, the Christ. You have blessed me in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. You chose me in Christ before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and blameless before you.  In love you pre-destined me for adoption as a son of yours through Jesus Christ, according to your will, to the praise of your glorious grace with which you have blessed me in the beloved.

In Christ, I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of my trespasses, according to the riches of your grace which you have lavished on me in all wisdom and insight making known to me the mystery of your will. Today, Lord, equip me with everything good that I may do your will. Work in me that which is pleasing in your sight through Jesus Christ. To him be glory forever and ever.

My Mind Is Stayed on God

Psalms 91&95 & Ish. 26

Lord, you are my dwelling place. You, most high God, are my refuge. You command your angels concerning me. You guard me in all my ways.  I hold fast to you in love, father, and you deliver me. I know you, Lord, and you protect me. When I call on you, you answer me.  You protect me from evil and no plague can come near my tent. You are with me in troubled times. You rescue me and you honor me.

Thank you, father, for your steadfast love and divine presence and power. You satisfy me with long life and you show me and fill me with your salvation. I worship you, Lord, and bow down before you.  You are my maker. You are my God. I am your son and a sheep of your hand. You keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on you.

Sing And Make Melody

Psalms 63&27

Good and great God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you as if in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. I look upon you in your sanctuary and behold your power and glory. Your steadfast love is better than life and my lips praise you. I bless you, father, and in your name, I lift up my hands.

My soul is well fed by you and my mouth praises you with joyful lips. I remember you when I sleep and I meditate on you in the watches of the night. You are my help, Lord, and in the shadow of your wings I sing for joy.  My soul clings to you and your right hand upholds me. You, oh Lord, are my light and my salvation; you are the strong hold of my life; my heart shall not fear.  I dwell in you, Lord, all the days of my life.

I gaze upon your beauty and fellowship with you, holy spirit. You hide me in your shelter, you conceal me in your tent, you lift me high upon the rock. I sing and make melody to you, my God and my Lord.

I Am Loved By God

Luke 12, John 3, Eph 2

I am in the kingdom of Almighty God who loves me, and everything is good. Even the darkness is light to God who is able and active to work out all things to suit his purpose.  His purpose is to glorify himself in his creation, and to redeem his own people out of a lost and contrary flock.

I am thankful that while I was dead in my trespasses and sins my heavenly father saw me and set up circumstances to hem me in. He brought life and light to my heart to detest what I had become and to desire what he would make of me. I was born again by the Holy Spirit and a new men moved into me and took charge of this fleshly vessel. The strength of my soul is increased and my heart is calmed and quieted before the Lord.  What a glorious exchange. Old for new, human for Divine, bondage to freedom, temporal for eternal, peace instead of furor.

You Know Me

Oh Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up. You discern my thoughts and you are acquainted with all my ways. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand on me.  You are always with me and therefore, I am always with you. Your hand leads me and your right hand holds me. Even the darkness cannot hold me because darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as day for darkness is light to you.

You formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful and I know that very well. I am not hidden from you.  You saw me, and everyone of the days you planned for me is written in your book. Search me, oh God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. See if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.

You Do Not Forsake

Ps 138, I John 5:18, I Cor. 6:20

Today, dear Lord, I give thanks to you with my whole heart. I sing your praises. I bow before you, father, and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and for your faithfulness. I exalt you above all things; your name and your word.

When I call on you, you answer and the strength of my soul you increase. Though you are Almighty God and I am lowly you regard me with love and care. Though I walk in the midst of trouble and trials you preserve my life.  You stretch out your hand and protect me from my enemies.

You bought me with a price. I belong to you, father, and the evil one cannot touch me. Your right hand delivers me.  I know your faithfulness and steadfast love, father. You will fulfill your purpose for me. I will be of the use to you that you formed me for. You do not for sake the work of your hands.

Calmed and Quieted

Ps 130&131

Oh, Lord, you hear my voice. Your ears are attentive to my pleas for mercy. With you, father, there is forgiveness that I may fear you; that I may take my salvation very seriously. I wait for you, Lord.  My soul waits for you, Lord, and in your word I take hope.  I hope in you, Lord.  With you there is steadfast love; with you there is plentiful redemption. You redeemed me from all my iniquities.

Father, I am not proud. My eyes are not raised too high. I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.  Like a child with its mother my soul is calmed and quieted within me. I recognize my complete dependence on you, God, my heavenly father. My peace is you, father. My hope is in you, father, from this time forth and forever more.

Be Still and Know

Ps 43, Ps 127

Heavenly Father, send out your light and truth, let them lead me. Lord, open the eyes of my understanding that I would be accurate in following you. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear exactly what you say and show me.  I do not want to build or watch or move in vain. I want to build where you build and be active only in the places and persons you have for me to be active in. In your revelation and illumination; in your guidance; there is rest.

Today, holy spirit, take charge of me that I would follow you accurately and gladly; that I would be obedient and joyful; that I would walk in faith today and be wholly pleasing to you. Today, by your grace and presence, Lord, I am conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus; my thoughts are your thoughts and my words are the very words of God. My heart is empty of self and filled with the love of God. Father, keep my heart and mind today in Christ Jesus.

Rich In Mercy

Eph 2, Ps 111&112

Father, you are rich in mercy. Because of your great love with which you loved me,even when I was dead in my trespasses, you made me alive together with Christ.  You raise me up with him and seated me with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I give thanks to you, Lord, with my whole heart.

Your works are great, oh Lord; full of splendor and majesty. Your righteousness endures forever. You are gracious and merciful.  You provide food to those who fear you; you remember your covenant forever. The works of your hands are faithful and just; all your precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever.

You sent redemption to me; holy and awesome is your name. I have wisdom in the fear I have of you. I am blessed because I fear you and I greatly delight in your commandments. My heart is firm, trusting in you, Lord. My heart is steady and I will not be afraid.
