Mighty To Save

Thank you, father, that you never leave me nor for sake me. You instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. You counsel me and watch over me. You strengthen me and help me.  You uphold me with your righteous right hand. I dwell in your shelter, Lord, and rest in the shadow of Almighty God, my father.

I hope in you, Lord. I wait upon you. I join with you and I am gathered together with you; twisted up with you; therefore, you renew my strength and I mount up on wings like an eagle. I run and grow not weary. I walk and do not faint.

I call to you, father, and you answer me and tell me great and unsearchable things. You, oh Lord, are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. You are with me, father, and mighty to save. You take delight in me.  You quiet me with your love.

Perfectly

Thank you, father God, for your amazing mercy and love. Thank you for the radical decision to choose me and to adopt me into your family, and to make me your child and heir. You are God and you chose me to be your child; I am yours forever and you will never cast me out.

This divine adoption, orchestrated and empowered by your divine grace, blasts all issues of earthly, fleshly fatherhood. Your love and claim for me triumphs over all parental failings, and it arms my mind with a sword of supernatural power with which I can take captive fleshly, self-centered, crippling thoughts and beliefs.

I view my earthly parenting through the lens of God my heavenly father’s care for me. I have a perfect father who loves me with a steadfast “forever” love. I am loved and nurtured perfectly.

Above Any Worldly Experience

Matt 6, Romans 8

Father God, you are my father. Your name is hallowed to me. You are great and mighty; above all. You are God of heaven and earth and I acknowledge and take heart in that.  You have chosen me and called me to come alive and to turn to you; you have adopted me and loved me and made me your heir. I am no longer left alone or abandoned, but now, by your mercies, father, I belong to the family of Almighty God.  Jesus, the Messiah, is my elder brother and he welcomes me and includes me as his own brother and friend.

I now have the complete love of a perfect father that transforms and overrides any imperfect father “issues” from my earthly family.  I thank you for life, father. I honor my earthly parents where honor is due, and I forgive them any trespasses against me. But, over and above any worldly experience, I now revel in you, God, my father,  and your healing power in me.

Thank You For Choosing Me

Romans 8

Today, father, by your grace, I walk according to your spirit. I set my mind on the things of the Spirit of God and there there is life and peace. Your spirit, heavenly father, dwells in me, therefore Christ is in me and my body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of Jesus’ righteousness. The very spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me.  You raised Christ, father, and you give life to my mortal body through your Spirit who dwells in me.

By the presence of your spirit in me, father, I put to death the deeds of the body and I live by faith in the Lord Jesus who loves me and gave himself for me.  I am your son, father, for I am led by your spirit. I have received the Spirit of adoption as your son. I cry, Abba, father, you are mine and I am yours.  The holy spirit bears witness to me that I am your child. Thank you, Father, for choosing me.

I Will Never Leave You ….

Thank you, father, that you love me. You’ve got it all under control. It’s all in your hand and working out that which is good for me and pleasing to you. In Christ I can be confident that things are good and my actions are accurate. The temporal things are transient and they pass away as vague memories and vapors, or as laughs and sighs.  Your divine presence is in my life and in those moments that you have ordained before hand that I would walk in, I am your workmanship created for good works, and you are glorified.

My vessel is filled with your spirit and you pour out of me to those around me and your purposes, father, are accomplished.  In that way I get to be a part of the kingdom; I have the kingdom and the kingdom has me.  I don’t always understand your actions, my father, and sometimes things seem to be sad or tough, but I trust you. You, Heavenly Father, are good. You never leave me nor forsake me.

You are my God and I am Yours

2 Thes 2&3, Phil 1, Ezk 36

I give thanks to you, father, that in love you chose me to be saved, through sanctification by the Holy Spirit and belief in the truth. You called me through the gospel so that I could obtain the glory of God in my Lord Jesus.  I stand firm and hold on to what you teach me in your word. The Lord Jesus, himself, in grace comforts my heart and establishes me in every good work and word.

Lord Jesus, I know that you are faithful to establish me and to guard me against the evil one. I know that today you direct my heart to the love of God and to your steadfast care for me  I know that you will complete the work you have begun in me. You have chosen me (taken me out of the nations) and gathered me to you. You have sprinkled me with your atonement, Lord Jesus.  You have given me a new heart and a new spirit. You have put your spirit in me who causes me to walk in your statutes; to the love you and to love your statutes.

Jesus and my Heavenly Father

John 9&10

One thing I know is once I was blind but now by your grace, father, I see. Jesus opened my eyes and I am his disciple. Lord Jesus, I believe and I worship you. I know your voice and I follow you.  I enter the father’s kingdom through you, Lord Jesus, and I am saved. There is a thief who steals, kills and destroys, but you are my Lord and Savior; you give me life and give it abundantly.  You are mine and I am yours. I hear your voice; you know me; you chose me, and I follow you.

You give me eternal life, Lord Jesus, and I will never perish, and no one nor nothing can snatch me out of your hand. The father, who is greater than all, has given me to you, Lord Jesus, and no one is able to snatch me out of the father’s hand. You and the father are one.

Live Life to the Father

Romans 6

Hallelujah. Thank you, father, that today I am dead to sin and alive to you, father, in Jesus Christ. I have been baptized into Christ Jesus; baptized into his death.  I am buried, therefore, with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by your glory, father, so I had too walk in newness of life.  For, since I have been united with him in death like his, I am certainly united with him in a resurrection like he is.

My old self is crucified with Jesus, the Christ, in order that this body of sin be brought to nothing thereby I am no longer enslaved to sin. I have died in Christ and I believe I now live with him.  Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.  Today in Christ I live to you, father.

Fear Him

Acts 10

Among those that are his, God shows no partiality of a race, age, gender, etc. Anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. Lord, you send your word, your good news of peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of all.  You anointed Jesus with your Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing those who were oppressed for you, heavenly father, were with him.  Man put him to death on the cross but you, father, raised him on the third day and made him to appear not to all but to those whom you have chosen; those who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

Now you have commanded us to preach and teach and to testify that Jesus is the one appointed by you, father; that Jesus is the Messiah. Everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus as your Messiah.  The gift of God the Spirit is poured out on all who believe in him.

Trust in God

John 8, Luke 10, Ps 37, James 1, I Peter 5, Matthew 11, Rom. 8, Matt 5

Lord, I remain in your word and your word abides in me. I am your disciple. I know the truth and the truth has set free. Today I sit at your feet and listen to your word. I trust you and commit my ways to you. You do good for me. I delight myself in you and you set the desires of my heart – my transformed heart.  I am still before you and I wait patiently on you. I do not fret over what others have or over what the evil do. I refrain from anger and I forsake wrath. I do not fret about stuff.  I roll my anxieties onto you, Lord for you care for me.

With meekness I am slow to speak and quick to listen. I am teachable. I come to you today, Lord Jesus. I take your yoke upon me and learn from you for you are meek and lowly in heart, and I find rest for my soul, for your yoke is easy and your burden is light.  I am a joint heir with you, Lord Jesus. I inherit the earth. No good thing does God the father withhold from me.
