I Press On

Phil. 3

To you, God, my father, be glory forever and ever. I believe I am properly yours because I worship you, father, in spirit, and I glory in Christ Jesus, and I put no confidence in the flesh.  Indeed, I count all about me loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord. I count all my fleshly stuff as rubbish in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but a righteousness which comes through faith in Christ. I know him and the power of his resurrection, and share his suffering and become like him in his death that, by any means possible, I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own because Christ Jesus has made me his own.  Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Behold The Word

Rev. 19

Hallelujah, salvation and glory and power belong to God, my father. His judgments are true and just. He will judge that foolish and unfaithful foul spirit of this world who corrupts the earth, and he will avenge on that spirit the blood of his servants.  I worship you, father. I say, hallelujah, you are the Lord, my God. You, the Almighty, reign. I rejoice and exult, and give you glory. By your grace I am part of your bride, the church. By your word I make myself ready for the marriage supper of the lamb.  You have granted me new clothes of divine righteousness. You have invited me to be yours, and adopted me into your family forever.

I know that in the fullness of time I will see Heaven open and I will behold a white horse. The one seated on that horse is the Lord Jesus, your Messiah, father. He is faithful and true. In righteousness he judges and makes war. The name by which he is called is, “the word of God.”

A Member of the Household of God

Thank you, father, that even when I was dead in sins against you, you quickened me together with Christ.  You raised Jesus and me up and made me sit together with you in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Throughout the ages you have shown the exceeding riches of your grace and kindness towards me through Christ Jesus. I am saved by your grace through faith. I am your workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works that you, father, have ordained beforehand that I would walk in.

Now, Father, in Christ, I, who was once faroff from you, am brought near to you; you are my peace. You have a abolished through Jesus’s sacrifice the enmity between me and you. I am reconcile to you, my heavenly father. Through my Lord Jesus I have access by your Holy Spirit unto you, father. Now I am no longer a stranger or a foreigner, but now I am a fellow citizen with the Saints and a member of your household, father. Wow!

God Works All Things

Eph. 1

Thank you, God, my father, that you chose me to be in Christ before the foundation of the world, so that I would be holy and blameless before you. In your love, you pre-destined me to be adopted as your son through Jesus Christ according to the purposes of your will, to the praise of your glorious grace.  You have blessed me by placing me in your beloved.

I have redemption by and through the atoning sacrifice of my Lord Jesus. By him I have forgiveness of my trespasses, according to the riches of his grace which he lavished upon me, in all wisdom and insight, making known to me the mystery of your will, father, according to your purpose which you set forth in Christ.  You will, in the fullness of time, unite all things in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth. In Christ, I have obtained an inheritance according to your purposes, father. You, my father and my God, always work all things according to the council of your will.

I Faint Not

I stand fast in the liberty where Christ has made me free, and I will not be entangled again by yoke of religious or fleshly bondage. In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision availeth anything, but instead Jesus is my righteousness through faith in the love of God, my father.  In God’s truth and by his Holy Spirit, I run the race well and I obey my Lord. I do not use my liberty as an occasion to the flesh, instead by love, I serve others.

I walk in the spirit and I do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. I am led by the Spirit of God and the fruit of the spirit pours through me.  I belong to Christ, and I have crucified the flesh with its affections and lust. My life and relations are filled with love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.  I do not grow weary in well doing. I know that in due season I will reap a sweet harvest if I faint not.

Be Encouraged

I Thes. 1,2,3&4

Thank you, father, for your grace to me. You have converted me through Christ Jesus. I have turned away from idols and turned to you as Almighty and only God; the living and true God.  I wait for your son, Jesus, the Christ, from heaven, whom you raised from the dead to deliver me from the wrath to come.

I have been entrusted with your gospel to believe, and to speak the very words of life, not to please man, but to please God. Take charge of me today, Lord, make me increase and abound in love for others, and establish my heart blameless in holiness before you, my God and father.

Jesus died and rose again so, through Jesus, God will bring with him all those who have fallen asleep in the Lord. And we who are alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will not proceed those who have fallen asleep. The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then, we who are alive, who are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so will we always be with the Lord. Be encouraged, child of God.

Your Power In Me

2 Cor. 8&10&4

Lord, I pray I would be a cheerful giver and that I would be wisely generous and take joy in that. You, father, are so faithful in your joy and generosity to me. You make all grace abound to me, so that, I always have all sufficiency in all things, that I may abound in every good  work.  My life is enriched in all bountifulness and fills me with thanksgiving. Thank you, father, for your unspeakable gift.

Thank you, father, for the mighty, divine weapons that you give me. Your power, presence and word within me pulls down strongholds and casts down imaginations and every high thing in me that holds itself up against the knowledge of you, father.  And I do faithfully take captive every thought and make them obedient to my Lord Jesus, the Christ. I do not boast about myself for I am often weak and easily tempted, but, by your grace, father, I have your spirit dwelling in me and by his power I am led to obey.

As I Wait For You

Mark 10, Is. 46&64, Ps 50&127, 1 Peter 4, 1 John 2

Thank you, father, that you work for me as I wait for you. You are not served by me as if you needed anything, but you, yourself give me life and breath and everything.  Lord Jesus, you came not to be served but to serve, to give your life for my ransom.

I call on you, Lord, and you deliver me, and you glorify yourself with me. To old age you carry me. You have made me and you bear me; you will carry me all the way and save me.  Your grace, father, works on me and in me and through me. You build the house.

You supply my strength so that I can be of service to you, Lord, so that in everything, Lord, you are glorified. Lord, it is you that works in me to will and to work your salvation.  You, Lord Jesus, are ever at the father’s right hand making intercession for me. You, Lord Jesus, are my advocate with the father. You are the propitiation for my sins. Thank you, Lord.

In Me

Matt 25, John 17, John 15&14

Thank you, father, for choosing me to be yours and for indwelling me, so that I could be used by you to serve my brothers.  Thank you, that I have come to you. I inherit the kingdom that you have prepared for me from the foundation of the world. By your grace, I have been faithful over little things; so you set me over greater things, and I enter into the joy of my lord and master.

I know you, my father, and I continue to be with you, and the love which you have for your son, Jesus, now fills me and pulses in me.  I abide in Christ and Christ Jesus abides in me. I keep my eyes and my purposes on your commands; on your word.  I abide in your love, and I have the joy of the Lord, and my joy is full. You chose me, oh Lord, and filled me with your divine life. I am filled with your spirit, father, the spirit of truth. The world doesn’t know him, but I know him for he dwells with me and is in me.

Aim To Please

2 Cor. 5

Hallelujah! I do not lose heart because I know that if this tent which is my earthly home is destroyed (or wears out), I have a building from you, father, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  While I remain in this tent I groan, and I am burdened and begin to desire to be further clothed so that what is mortal would be swallowed up by what is truly life.  You have prepared me for this very thing, father, and you have given me your spirit as a guarantee.

So, I am of good courage. While I am at home in this body, I am away from my Lord, and I walk by faith and not by sight. Yes, I am of good courage and looking to believe that I would rather be away from this body and at home with the Lord.  So whether I am at home or away, I make it my aim to please you, father; filled and fearless.
