Christ Rules My Heart

Luke 12; Col. 3

I do not fear for it is my father’s good pleasure to give me the kingdom! I put on then as God’s chosen one, holy and beloved, a compassionate heart, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. I bear with others, and, if I have a complaint against another I forgive them as God has forgiven me.

Above all these things I put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. I let the peace of Christ rule in my heart to which indeed I am called. I am a part of the body of Christ, the church.

The word of Christ dwells in me richly, teaching and admonishing me in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in my heart to God.  Whatever I do, in word or deed, I do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him!

I Hold On

Father, I do not forget your teaching. My heart keeps your commandments, and length of days and years of life and peace are added to me.  I hold on to your steadfast love and faithfulness. I bind them around my neck. I write them on the tablet of my heart. With that I find favor and good success in your sight, father, and in the sight of man.

I trust in you, Lord, with all my heart. I do not lean on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge you, father, and you make my path straight. I am not wise in my own eyes. I fear you, Lord, and turn away from evil. That is healing to my flesh and refreshment to my bones. I honor you, Lord, with my wealth and the first fruits of all my produce; my barns are filled with plenty and my vats are bursting with wine!

Reality In Prayer

Observation: some may struggle with prayer because they focus on prayer and not on God

Father, you make known to me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forever more. I love you, oh Lord, my strength.  You are my rock and my fortress and my deliver; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I call upon you, Lord, you are worthy to be praised and I am saved from my enemies.

Sanctified Wholly

I Peter 5; 1 Thess. 5

Lord God, you are mighty and I humble myself under your mighty hand. I cast all my cares upon you for I know that you care for me. I am sober and vigilant; I know I have an adversary; I resist him steadfastly with my faith in you, father, and in Jesus, my savior.

Thank you, father God, the God of all grace, for calling me into your eternal glory by Christ Jesus and I thank you that you, father, with your spirit and your word restore me, confirm me, strengthen and establish me.

You, the very God of peace, sanctify me wholly and preserve my whole spirit, soul and body blameless until the coming of my Lord Jesus, the Christ.  Thank you, Lord, that by your grace and the righteousness of Christ you establish my heart unblamable in holiness before you!

Christ Is All And In All

My Lord Jesus is Creator, sustainer, Lord, God and reconciler. He is all those persons and positions by God, the father’s, will and determination.  Therefore, he is all and in all. Everything I need for life and godliness is in him.  I am complete in him!

My work is to believe that, and to seek, ask and knock; to be, “conformed to the image of Jesus the Christ; to be in Christ and him in me. ”

This is God’s will for me; so God is for it. The love of God, the grace of the Lord Jesus and the communion of the Holy Spirit are in place and able.  All the creation waits for me to understand that I am lost without Christ as Savior and Lord, and that I will now follow after him with diligence, and expectation, and determination, and good doctrine.  I will bend down and look into the perfect law of liberty. I will follow. I will decrease and Jesus the Christ will increase.

Answers

God often doesn’t give us answers, but he gives us himself. (He is the answer to any and all. Col 1:27)

Therefore, we should not be so desperate for answers as we are desperate for the God who is the answer; who redeems the past and holds the future in his hands!

Be desperate for the relationship; sit at his feet and listen to his heart. Walk with him. Follow him in his way.

Joy and peace are full in his presence. The world has problems, our Lord has peace. “come and get it.” ” come unto him and find rest. ”

A childlike understanding that we need God: we claim him and cling to him above all else.

We fight and prevail over anxiety with humility before God and ceaseless prayers.

Here I am father!

The Father’s Pleasure

It is the father’s good pleasure to give me the kingdom of God! He sets it up; he sustains it; he determines the timing and the opening and closing of each era. He does his “ways” in the whole creation around me but also, and more importantly to me, he does his kingdom in and into me.

I believe somehow I came from and through seed that he selected, “before the foundation of the world”. At the appointed time, under the right condition, that seed in and of me began to grow and became God life within me. He became my quickened spirit.  This new man believed and knew from past ages that he was loved by God the father, covered with the grace of God the son, and in communion all the time with God the father.

Pursue Peace

Pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. Whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another in accord with Christ Jesus that together you may with one voice glorify the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

” those who have never been told of Him will see, and those who have never heard will understand. ”

Watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine …. avoid them. For such do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites.

Romans 14

Do not quarrel over opinions. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls.

Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes, observes it in honor of the Lord; the one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord; he who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord. If we live, we live  to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

Why do you pass judgment on your brother?  We will all stand before the judgment seat of God.  So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Whoever serves Christ is acceptable.

True Bread

John 6

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you are the bread of life, the true bread from heaven. I come to you and I do not hunger or thirst. I believe in you!  I believe you will never cast me out; you will always keep me and fill me. I look upon you and believe you are the Messiah, the one anointed by God, my father, to save me from my sins, and to reconcile me to the father.  I believe you will raise me up on the last day.

You are the living bread; I eat of your word and drink of your spirit and I live forever. I feed on you and I have eternal life. Your Spirit gives life and the flesh is no help at all.  The words you have spoken are spirit and life. You have the words; you are the word of eternal life. I’ve come to you, Lord Jesus; I take up the cross; I deny myself, and I follow you.
