Abundant Faith

2 Thess. 1; Phil. 2&1

Hallelujah, father, that today you would make me worthy of your calling, and that you would fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by your power and presence in me.

I pray today that my faith will grow abundantly, and that my love for others increases, and that I would be steadfast in my faith.

Thank you, Father, that it is you who works in me both to will and to work your good pleasure in me. Today, by your grace, I do all things without grumbling or disputing, and I am a blameless and innocent child of yours, father.

I hold fast to the word of life. I pray that today my manner of life is worthy of the gospel of Christ and that I stand firm in the Holy Spirit. Today I have full courage and temperance that Christ is honored in my body whether in life or death. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Abundant Life

John 18&17; 2 Cor. 1; John 10

Your kingdom, Lord Jesus, is not of this world. You have come into this world to bear witness to the truth. I listened to your voice so I know I am of the truth. I am yours.

Your Word is truth and I am sanctified by your Word. For my sake you have consecrated yourself so that I would be sanctified in the truth.

You are God’s only begotten son sent to be My Savior: my all in all. All of the promises of God, my heavenly father, find their “yes” in you, Lord Jesus.

Through you I utter, Amen, to God for his glory. It is God who establishes me with you and in you, Lord Jesus, and it is God who anoints me with his presence by the gift of the Holy Spirit. Through you, Lord Jesus, God, the father, has put his seal on me and given me his holy spirit as a guarantee.

Now, Lord Jesus, by God’s grace, you are my perfect Shepherd. You guard me and guide me. I go in and out and find pasture. You anoint my head and give me abundant life.

Rests Upon Me

John 17&3; Col. 3; Heb. 12; I Peter 2; John 8&9; I Peter 4

I am in this world for a season, but by your grace, I have been born again by your spirit, father, through the life, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, I am no longer in this world. Instead, I am hidden with Christ in you, father. I am a sojourner and exile going through this world and dealing with its systems; diligent to keep my eyes on Jesus and let him write my life story; and intentionally and repetitiously denying my fleshly lusts and passions.

You, Lord Jesus, are the light of the world. I follow you and I am not in darkness, but I have the light of life. Your presence and glory shine out of me, Lord, and not just out of me, but out of all those who are yours.

You are from above, Lord. You are not of this world, but you are the light of this world. Therefore, Lord Jesus, I entrust my soul to you, my faithful Creator, and I am blessed because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon me.

She Shall Not Be Moved

Psalms 46

You, father, the Lord of hosts, are with me. You are almighty God and you are my fortress. You are my refuge and my strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore, I do not fear, though the earth gives way, though the mountains crumble into the sea, though the sea waters roar and foam, and the mountains tremble and the sea rise.

Though the nations rage and kingdoms totter, you, father, utter your voice and the earth melts. You are with me, Lord, and you are my fortress. You work your works on the earth, Lord. You bring desolation and you make wars cease. You break the bow and shatter the spear. You burn the chariot.

And in it all, I am still and know that you are God. I know there is always, forever, a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the most high, and you, father, are in the midst of her and she shall not be moved.

Resurrection

I Peter 1; John 17 & 11; Romans 1&6

Thank you, Father, that by your great mercy you have caused me to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of my Lord Jesus from the dead.

Today, Lord Jesus, arouse my mind to new depths of worship and allegiance and joy and endurance. Glorify me today; sanctify me today with your glory: the glory you had with the father before the world existed.

I am with you, Lord, and you are with me, from glory to glory. As time in my life passes I will see your glory clearer and clearer.

I believe, Lord Jesus, that you are the resurrection and the life. I believe in you, and even when I appear dead, yet shall I live. I liveth and believeth in you so I shall never die. I believe this because you, Lord Jesus, have said so.

Your resurrection declares you, Jesus, to be the Son of God with power and holiness. I am planted together in the likeness of your death and I am also in the likeness of your Resurrection.

I Am In You

John 10

Lord Jesus, you are the Good Shepherd. You are the great Shepherd, the Divine Shepherd, actually the Almighty Shepherd.

You know me. You own me because you bought me with your life. You laid down your life for me. No one took your life, but you laid it down of your own accord. You have authority over all life from God, your heavenly father.

You are the door to the kingdom of God. I have entered the kingdom by you as the way, and I am saved. I go in and out in you, Lord Jesus, and I find pasture. I have eternal life and I have abundant Life.

I hear your voice and you know me and I follow you. You give me eternal life and I will never perish. No one will snatch me out of your hand, Lord, for God, the father, has given me to you and he is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch me out of the father’s hand.

You, Lord Jesus, and God, the Father, are one. The father is in you and you are in the father and by your grace and call, I am in you.

Comfort Too

Phil. 3; Hebrews 6; Hebrews 2; 2 Cor. 1

Father, I worship you by your very spirit, and I glory in Christ Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I put no confidence in the flesh. I put my confidence in the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus as my Lord.

Though he is your son, father, he learned obedience through what he suffered. He is divine, but he took on flesh and joined us in the flesh, so that by your grace, father, my Lord would taste death and join me in that fellowship.

But now, by the resurrection of my Lord, I have joined him in the power of his resurrection and in the fellowship of his suffering.

Father, you comfort me, through Christ’s life and presence in me, in all my afflictions and in the pressures of this life in the flesh. Now I am able to comfort those in afflictions with the comfort that I have received from you. I share abundantly in Christ’s suffering, and through Christ, I share abundantly in comfort too.

Teach Me

Psalms 25; Romans 6; Galatians 2

Thank you, Father, that you guard my soul and you deliver me. To you, oh Lord, I lift up my soul. I wait on you, Lord; that is I sit at your feet and listen to your word. I marinate my thoughts and opinions in your word.

I am twisted up with your spirit, father, reckoning myself dead continually and repetitiously to my fleshly self-centeredness, and instead, reckoning that I am alive to the Christ-like leading of your Holy Spirit, father.

Today, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, make me to know your ways, teach me your paths. Lead me into your truth and teach me, for you, oh Lord, are the God of my salvation and I wait on you all day long.

I fear you, father, and you instruct me in the way that I should choose, and you give me your friendship. You make known to me, your promises for me. You lead me in what is right and you teach me your humble ways.

Of My Soul

John 1; 1 Peter 2

Lord Jesus, you took on flesh and dwelt among us, and now your spirit has indwelt me and caused your new man to be born in me.

I have seen your glory in my redeemed life, and in the lives of the witnesses you have put around me. It is the very glory of God full of grace and truth.

From your fullness I have received grace upon grace. Grace and truth have come to me through you, Lord Jesus.

I have been born again by the will of God. You have made my heavenly father known to me, Lord Jesus, and I say thank you.

Thank you, Father, for choosing me and calling me out of darkness into your marvelous light. Now I am a sorjourner in this world and I am dead to the passions of my flesh that wage war against my soul.

I live free in Christ. I honor everyone, love the brotherhood, and obey the authorities. I have returned to the shepherd and overseer of my soul.
