Glorious

John 12

My soul is somber today, father, as I think on the things to do that are before me. But it is all for your purposes that I am here in this place at this time. You saved me and you bought me. I belong to you.

I believe that you, Lord Jesus, are the light of this world. I believe in that light and I have become a son of light.

I pray that you, Lord Jesus, will be lifted up in my life and that men and women, boys and girls, will be drawn to you as you shine through me.

Today like a grain of wheat I die to myself and my selfishness, and I yield my life and time to you, Lord, that your Holy Spirit would bear much fruit in me and through me.

I serve you, Lord Jesus, and I follow you, father, honor me with your presence, grace and steadfast love. Everything you do in me is divine and eternal and glorious.

Knowing

Colossians 3

Yes, Father, I have been raised with Christ. In that I rejoice and I am thankful. I seek those things above where, you, Lord Jesus, are seated at the right hand of God, our Father.

My mind is set on things that are above and not on things that are on the earth. For I am dead in Christ, and when Christ who is my life shall appear, then I will appear with him in glory. My life is hidden with you, Lord Jesus, in God.

Your word, Lord Jesus, dwells in me richly. I teach and admonish, and I learn, as well, in all wisdom; singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with Thanksgiving in my heart to you.

Whatever I do, in word or in deed, I do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. I give thanks to you, father, for Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

Everything I do today, I do heartily, as for the Lord and not for man, knowing that from the Lord I will receive the inheritance as a reward.

In Accordance With The Scriptures

I Corinthians 15

Lord, I have received your gospel, I stand in your gospel. I hold fast to your word and I am saved.

I know that Christ died for my sins, in accordance with the scriptures; that he was buried; that he rose on the third day, in accordance with the scriptures, and that he appeared to his disciples and then to hundreds of people, many of whom wrote to testify and were willing to die because of their certainty of Christ’s resurrection.

It is a fact that you, almighty God, raised Jesus, your Christ, from the dead. In your perfect timing, father, there will come an end to this era: the time when Jesus, the son and the Savior, delivers the kingdom to you, God, our Father, after destroying every rule and every authority and power.

Therefore, I am steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord my labor is not in vain.

Hold Fast

Deuteronomy 10&11

Lord, today with gladness, joy and excitement, I fear you as my Lord and God. I walk in your ways. I love you. I desire to serve you with all my heart and with all my soul. I desire to keep your commandments and statutes in front of my eyes and have them guide my steps.

You, father, are my God and to you belong heaven and the heaven of heaven. The earth and all that is in it belongs to you. Yet, you set your heart to love my family and to love me. You chose me.

You are my praise, and you are my God. I lay up your words, o Lord, in my heart and in my soul. I bind them upon me. I teach them to all my children. I am careful to do all that you tell me.

I love you, father, Son and Holy Spirit. I walk in your ways and I hold fast to you.

Known By You

Galatians 3&4

In Christ Jesus, by your grace and decree, father, I am your son through faith. I have been baptized into Christ and I have put on Christ. I am one with the family of God in Christ. I am Christ’s; I am Abraham’s offspring; I am an heir according to your promises father.

In the fullness of time, father, you sent forth your son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem me who was under the law, so that I would receive adoption as your son. And because I am your son, you sent the spirit of your son into my heart crying, “Abba, Father”.

You are my father and I am your child. I am no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

I do not turn to the weak and worthless, elementary principles of this world, whose slave I once was, but now I have come to know you, father, and to be known by you.

With Your Presence

Acts 2

Father, I know that you delivered up Jesus, my Lord and Savior, according to your definite plan and foreknowledge. Then you raised him up, loosing him from the pangs of death because it is not possible for death to hold him.

Now Jesus, the Christ, is always at your right hand making intercession for me. He is my high priest and the complete atoning sacrifice for my sins. By his grace, I am forgiven and justified; able to come before your throne of grace as your son and joint heir with Jesus.

Therefore, my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices. My flesh dwells in hope. You did not abandon Jesus and you do not abandon me. I rejoice in your steadfast love and in your sovereign power. You make me full of gladness with your presence.

Rest For My Soul

I John 5; Matt. 11

I love you, father. I thank you that I have been born again. I believe that Jesus is your son. He is begotten of you and was born into this world to be your Christ and to become my Savior and Lord.

You have placed your spirit on me and in me, and I have a love for your word and daily understanding of it. It tastes good to me. In your word is life and light, truth and wisdom, peace and joy.

Therefore, I keep my eye on your word as if it were a lighthouse. I let it lead me because I know it and I trust it. I love where it takes me.

Your commandments are not burdensome, instead, they are easy and light. I learn Christ from your word, Lord Jesus, and I come to know you, and I am joined to you. I learn meekness and humility from you, and I find eternal, unshakable rest for my soul.

In Praise and Honor and Glory

Nehemiah 9&8; Ps 105; John 15

Father, blessed be your glorious name. You are the Lord; you alone. You are exalted above all blessing and praise.

Thank you, Father, for your word and for giving me the sense that I can hear it and have understanding of it. Today I make great rejoicing, because I understand the words that you declare to me.

I have your joy, father, a divine eternal joy; sovereign over all of the world’s anxieties and foolishness. Your joy is my strength and it is rooted in your living and abiding word that fills and guides me. Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

You, Lord Jesus, have spoken these things to me so that the joy of the Lord will be in me, and so that my joy would be full. Not that my joy would just be “enough”, but more than enough: a wellspring filling up and overflowing in praise and honor and glory to you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Your Free Gift

Romans 6

Today, Father, I live a life to you. I consider myself dead to sin and alive to you in Jesus Christ. By your grace and provision, father, sin no longer reigns in my mortal body able to make me obey its passions. Now, today, hallelujah, I present my members to you, father, as instruments of righteousness.

Thanks be to you, father, for I was once a slave to sin, but now I am born again of your spirit and you dwell in my mind and heart. I delight in being obedient from my heart to your teaching and to the standard of your word.

I am set free from sin and have become a slave of righteousness. Now I present my members as slaves to your divine, sweet, peaceful righteousness that leads to sanctification. Now I am set free of the bondage to sin and I have become a peaceful slave of yours, father.

I once had death but now, by your grace and power, father, I have your free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

By His Life

Romans 5,4&5

I have peace with you, father, through my Lord Jesus Christ. I have been justified by faith. My belief does not waver concerning your promises, father. In fact, I am fully convinced that you are able to do all that you promise.

I stand firm in the grace of God, my Father, and Jesus, my Lord. I rejoice in the sure hope of the sovereign glory of God.

You, father, work your character in me by the divine orchestration of circumstances in my life. Your character, in me, produces hope and hope does not put me to shame because your love and encouraging fellowship are poured into my heart through your Holy Spirit whom you have given to me.

You love me so much, father, that even while I was horribly selfish, a slave to sin, Christ died for me. By his atoning sacrifice, I was justified and saved by him from your wrath.

Glory hallelujah, I am reconciled to you, father, by the life and death and resurrection of my Lord Jesus, your divine son. My life has been saved by his life.
