Your Peace

Philippians 4; Deuteronomy 4; Ephesians 1; 1 Corinthians 6; Isaiah 46

I am not anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving I make my requests known to you, Father. Your peace which passes all understanding keeps my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.  My life belongs to you, God. You are almighty and there is no other like you. You are God of heaven above and earth below.

You have held my life in your hands from before the foundation of the world and will never let me go. I am yours, bought with a price. Even in my old age, you have me, and I am yours. Even in my graying years, you care for me.  You do all that needs doing with my life. You bear me up, and you will deliver me.  Whether I live or die I am yours. For to this end Christ died and lived again that he would be Lord of both the dead and the living.

Quickened

Romans 8

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. What the law could not do in the flesh, Father, you did by sending your own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and you condemned sin in the flesh that the righteousness of the law be fulfilled in me as I walk in your Spirit.  There is, therefore, no condemnation to me for I am in Christ Jesus, and I walk after the Spirit.

To be spiritually minded is life and peace. I am in the Spirit because the Spirit of God dwells in me.  I have the Spirit of Christ, by God’s grace, so my body is dead, but the Spirit is life eternal because of righteousness. The Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me. He will also quicken my mortal body by his Spirit who dwells in me.

You Show Me

Nehemiah 9, Psalms 73 & 91

Thank you, Lord, that you give your good Spirit to instruct me, and you do not withhold your manna (your daily bread from heaven) from my mouth, and you give me water for my thirst.

Sometimes I am so foolish and ignorant before thee. Nevertheless, I am always with you, and you hold me in your right hand. You guide me with your counsel and afterward receive me to glory. You, oh Lord, are the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

I dwell with you and your Spirit, Father. I abide under the shadow of the Almighty. You, oh Lord, are my refuge and my fortress. You are my God in whom I trust.  I call on you and you answer, you were with me in troubled times. You deliver me and honor me. You satisfy me with long life, and you show me your salvation.

I Praise You

Psalm 36 & 43

Thank you, Father, that you are my God; that you have me. Thank you for your word of grace which builds me up and gives me the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

How precious is your steadfast love, oh, God.  I take refuge in the shadow of your wings. I feast on the abundance of your house, and you give me drink from the river of your delights. You have the fountain of life, and in your light, I have light to see.  You keep me in your steadfast love, and you are my righteousness.

I have tasted of the fellowship with you, Lord, and I know that you are good. You send out your light and your truth, and they lead me. They bring me close to you. I go to the altar of my God with exceeding joy. I hope in you, Father, and I praise you.

All Fulness in Him

Colossians 1

I give thanks to you, my Heavenly Father, that you have made me meet (fit, able, qualified) to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. I am thankful that you have delivered me from the power of darkness and have translated (moved from one place) me into the kingdom of your dear son, my Lord Jesus Christ, in whom I have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

My Lord Jesus is the image of the invisible God. He is the first born (first in time and first in rank) of every creature. By him were all things created that are in heaven or that are in earth; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things and by him all things consist. He is the head of his body, the church. He is the beginning, the first born from the dead that in all things he might have preeminence. It pleased the Father that in the Lord Jesus all fulness should dwell.

Lack Nothing

1 Thessalonians 1, 2, 3, & 4

Lord Jesus, the Messiah, whose ministry has delivered me from the wrath to come, I pray today that by your grace, Lord, and by your presence, Holy Spirit, I will walk worthy of God, my Father, who has called me into His kingdom and glory.  I thank you for your word, Father, and I receive your word with gladness. I receive it as the truth and believe it works your will effectively in me.

Thank you, Lord, that you work in me to make me increase and abound in love toward others, and that you establish my heart unblameable in holiness before you.  Thank you, Lord, that you have called me to holiness. Today, I aspire to live a quiet life and to mind my own business and to work with joy with my hands, that I may walk properly with all that are around me and that I may lack nothing in my life.

Abound with Thanksgiving

Colossians 2 & 3

The word of Christ dwells in me richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing me in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in my heart to the Lord.  Whatever I do in word or in deed, I do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God, the Father, by him. And whatsoever I do, I do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that from the Lord I shall receive the reward of the inheritance for I serve the Lord Christ.

I am rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as I have been taught. I abound with thanksgiving. I am aware that no one spoil me through philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of man, after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.  In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and I am complete in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power. I am buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through faith.

Pleasing in His Sight

1 John 2; 1 Thessalonians 5; 2 Timothy 4; Hebrews 13

By your grace and illumination to me, Father, I love the brethren and there is no darkness in me. I abide in the light and there is no cause for me to stumble. The word abides in me, and in Christ I have overcome the evil one.

I admonish the idle, encourage the faint hearted, help the weak and I am patient with them all. I am ready in season and out of season to share your word, Lord, to reprove, rebuke and exhort with complete patience and teaching. I am sober minded, longsuffering, and yielded to your hand, Father, for the ministry you have for me.

You, oh Lord, are the God of peace. You brought my Lord Jesus again from the dead. Thank you that today you equip me with everything good that I may do your will. You work in me that which is pleasing in your sight through Jesus Christ.

In Deed and in Truth

1 John 3

Lord God, you tell me clearly that, “we should love one another”. We should not be angered (hate) at the brethren because they are different or because we are jealous.

I know I have passed out of death and into life because I love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.  I know love because I know you, Lord Jesus. I know that you lay down your life for me and that I ought to lay down my life for my brothers.

If I have the world’s goods and see my brother in need, I should gladly, thankfully, help meet that need, recognizing how you, Father, have met my needs. I do this well by recognizing your love for me and training myself to abide in that love. As your love abides in me, Father, I love the brothers in deed and in truth.

The Father’s Pleasure

John 17; Luke 12

Lord Jesus, you have made known to me the Father, and you continue to make him known to me so that the love with which the Father has loved you, Lord Jesus, will be in me and you, my Savior, will dwell in me.

Hallelujah, I am not anxious about my life, what I will drink or what I will eat. Life is more than food and clothing. You, my God, feed me. Instead, I seek your kingdom, Father, and your righteousness, and all these other things will be added to me.

I do not fear for I know it is your good pleasure, Father, to give me the kingdom.
