Romans 6,7,8,12,&7

I know that I have been baptized into Jesus’ death. So, my old man is buried with him into death, and now I walk in a new life. I have become dead to the law of sin and death through the sacrifice of Jesus, and now I’m joined to you, father, who raised Jesus from the dead.

Now I serve you, father, in the newness of the spirit. Your Holy Spirit fills me with a new man, and I delight in your laws, father.

So now, I have two natures, old and new. I realize that nothing good dwells in my old fleshy nature. Sometimes I do not do the good I want to do, and, in fact, sometimes do the very evil that I don’t want to do.

So sin still dwells in my mortal body, but by your grace, father, that is no longer me. For I am delivered from this body of death through Jesus Christ my Lord.

By your gift of salvation, father, through Christ, I am called, justified, and sanctified. My mind is renewed, and with my mind I serve you, father.

Everlasting

Romans 6

Thank you, father, for opening the eyes of my understanding so that I now know that I am a slave to the one I obey either sin leading to death, or obedience to you, father, which leads to righteousness.

Thank you, father, that though I was once a slave to sin, by your grace I heard your gospel and believed it in my heart, and I began to obey your doctrine, and I was set free from sin, and I became a slave to your righteousness.

Yes, I once presented my members as slaves to uncleanness with determination, but now, praise God, I present my members as slaves of righteousness for holiness with even greater joy and enthusiasm.

For I remember the fruit I got from being a slave to sin. It was heartbreaking and disgusting, and the end of it all was death.

But now I am set free from sin, and I have become a thankful slave in your household, Lord. Now I have the fruit of holiness and the sure hope of everlasting life.

United

Romans 5&6

Thank you, father, that your grace reigns in my life through the righteousness of Jesus Christ, my lord, to eternal life- abundant life. For I am united together with Jesus in the likeness of his death, and so I shall also certainly be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection.

For I know that my old man was crucified with Christ, that the body of sin in me would be done away with, so that I am no longer slave to sin.

Now, since I have died with Christ, I believe I also live with him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him.

He died to sin once for all, but the life that he lives, he lives to God. Likewise I reckon myself dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Jesus Christ, my lord.

Heavenly Father

Romans 5

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that I have peace with you through my Lord Jesus Christ. Through you, Lord Jesus, I have access by faith into your divine grace in which I stand and rejoice in hope of your glory.

Even in tribulation I glory because I know tribulation works in me and produces perseverance, and perseverance works my character to conform me to you, Christ Jesus, and godly character fills me with sure hope, a hope that does not disappoint because the very love of God dwells in me.

That divine love is poured out into my heart by the Holy Ghost whom you, father, have given to me.

So, I am justified by faith, and I rejoice in you, father, through my Lord Jesus, who has reconciled me to you, my Heavenly Father.

Covered

Romans 4,3,4

I believe your gospel, Father God, and that is accounted to me as righteousness. By your grace I am justified by faith apart from deeds. For I have sinned and fallen short of your glory, but by your grace I am justified through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

You sent Jesus forth as my propitiation by his blood. Therein you demonstrated your righteousness because in your forbearance, you, father, passed over my sins. You were just with your judgment of sin, and you were the justifier of me, your needy child.

I am blessed as my lawless deeds are forgiven. My sins are covered. I am blessed because you, father, do not impute my sin on me.

Your promise is sure to me by faith according to your grace. I do not waver at your promises, father, but I am strengthened in faith and give glory to you. I am fully convinced that you are able to perform all that you have promised.

Clearly Seen

Romans 1

Thank you, father, for faith to believe your gospel. It is your power to salvation for everyone who believes. In the gospel your divine, imputed, righteousness is revealed from faith to faith. The truth that,” the just shall live by faith”, is revealed to all who will believe.

The gospel also reveals your wrath, father, against all the ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

You, father, have shown yourself to mankind. Since the creation of the world your invisible attributes are clearly seen and can be understood by looking at creation. So man is without excuse if he does not glorify you.

Thank you for choosing me and calling me into your kingdom. By your spirit and by your word, you have put the Light into my heart. My thoughts have become your thoughts, and they renew my mind, and I am transformed. I glory in you, the incorruptible, Almighty God, and I glory in Jesus, your son and my Savior.

Alive Together

Ephesians 2

Thank you, father, for your great mercy that even when I was dead in my rebellion and trespasses you, in your great love for me, made me alive together with Christ (by your grace you saved me).

You raised me up, and made me to sit together with you in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You have shown the exceeding riches of your grace for ages to come through your kindness to me in Christ Jesus.

By your grace I have been saved through faith. All of that is a gift from you and not because of any good in me, so I do not boast except about your grace, father, and your courage, Lord Jesus.

I am your workmanship, father, created in Christ Jesus for good works which you ordained beforehand that I would walk in.

There was a time when I was a stranger to faith in you, father, but now in Christ Jesus, even though I was once far off, now I am brought near to you, father God, by the blood of Christ. I am reconciled to you forever, my heavenly father. Hallelujah.

Everlasting Consolation

Matthew 11; 2 Thessalonians 2&3

Today I come unto you, Lord Jesus. Thank you that you have carried my burdens and done the labor that I could never have done.

I take your yoke up on me, and I learn from you. I become meek and humble in your presence, and I find rest for my soul. By your grace and divine power my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

You, Lord Jesus, and God, our father, have loved me and given me everlasting consolation and good hope. You comfort my heart, and you establish me in every good word and work.

Thank you, Lord, that your word fills me with your glory, and that I am delivered from unreasonable and wicked men. You are faithful, father, and you have established me, and you guard me from the evil one.

I have confidence in you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that you do, and that you will do, all that you have promised. Today, Holy Spirit, you direct my heart into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

Standfast and Hold To

2 Thessalonians 1&2

Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for your grace and peace on me and in me. Thank you for the promise of your return, and for your victory over the son of perdition, and for your vengeance over those who do not know you and who do not obey.

Thank you, father, that by your grace you have counted me worthy of calling me and filling me with your goodness. You have worked out faith in me through the power of your spirit and your word, so that Jesus Christ would be glorified in me.

Thank you, father, that from the beginning you chose me for salvation through sanctification by your spirit and by belief in your truth. You called me to you through your gospel, so that I would be filled with the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. In faith I stand fast and hold to all that you have taught me, Heavenly Father.

The Coming of My Lord

1 Thessalonians 1,4&5

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for convicting me of my sin and my hateful past, and for granting me repentance, so that I would turn from selfish, self-centered idolatry to serve the living and true God. And so I serve and wait on Jesus, the son, who has delivered me from the wrath to come.

Now Christ dwells in me, and I am led by the very Spirit of God. I walk worthy of almighty God who has called me into his own kingdom and glory.

I aspire to lead a quiet life and to mind my own business, and to work with joy with my hands, that I may walk properly with all that are around me, and that I may lack nothing in my life.

Today, I rejoice always. I pray without ceasing, and in everything I give thanks. I live in God, my father’s will. I commune with, and I am led by God the Spirit.

You, father, the God of peace, sanctify me completely, and my whole spirit, soul, and body is preserved blameless for the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ.
