Clear from Your Word

Galatians 4 & 5

In the fullness of time, you, Father, sent forth Jesus, your son, to be born into the flesh, born under the law, to redeem us, who were under the law, so that I, and all those who are yours, might receive adoption as your sons.

And because I am your son, you sent forth your Holy Spirit into my heart. Your spirit proclaims to my heart that I belong to you. I am yours, and you are my father forever. Therefore, I am no longer a slave, but now I am your son, and if a son, then an heir of yours, Father, through Christ.

So now, I know you, Lord, and I am known by you. I am in Christ, by your grace, and I am careful not to turn again to the weak and beggarly elements of the law. Teachers with false doctrine try to court me, but their teaching is no good.

It is clear from your word, Lord, that there are two covenants, one that amounts to bondage and the new covenant, that is freedom. Therefore, I stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has made me free. I live in the hope of righteousness by faith. I live in Christ Jesus by faith working through love.

To Know, To Keep, and To Teach

Matthew 28; Mark 1

Lord Jesus, I am not afraid. You have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. In your presence, and power, and person, I follow you and long to be your disciple.

I go and tell others your Gospel. I hope to be used by you to make disciples of others, to teach them, and baptize them in your name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I seek to know your word well, and to keep your word, and to teach it to others. I know that always, on that mission, you are with me, even to the end of the age.

I follow you, Lord Jesus, and you make me a fisher of men. You fill me with your person, and I am led by your spirit to be used in your business.

What They Wished

Ephesians 1; Luke 10

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for faith to believe. I have heard your word and believed it, and your word is now the Gospel of my salvation. I am sealed with your promised Holy Spirit whose presence and witness to me guarantees that I am yours until the time of visual redemption comes.

In you, Lord Jesus, I have redemption through your blood, the forgiveness of my sins. The riches of your grace abound to me, and I begin to know the mysteries of your will.

I see that, through you, Lord, I have authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing can, by any means, hurt me. Nevertheless, that is not my source of joy. Rather, I rejoice because my name is written in heaven.

I am blessed because now, through your presence in me, Lord, my eyes see you and your gospel. Now I see things that the prophets and kings wished to see and have not seen. Now I hear everyday what they wished to hear.

Abundant Everlasting Kingdom

Matthew 25; 2 Peter 1

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you have invested your life in me, and now you wait and work in me to grow that investment into works that you ordained beforehand I would walk in, through your person and power.

Please, Lord, lead me that my thoughts and actions would please you and be profitable to you. I long to be a good and faithful servant to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Fill me with your person, Lord, that I would always be ready for your appearing. Fill me with your word, Lord Jesus, and strengthen my faith with virtue and endurance that I would stay ready and useful to you.

Keep me diligent, oh Lord, to make my call and election sure. Let your presence abound in me that I will be fruitful and in close and constant communion with you, Lord. Then I will never stumble, and I can enjoy your abundant everlasting Kingdom, Lord Jesus, my God and Savior.

The Time Appointed

Matthew 25

Lord Jesus, at the time appointed by our father, you will come in your glory with all the holy angels, and you will sit on a glorious throne. Then you will separate the multitudes like a shepherd separates sheep from goats.

Lord, I seek to be among the sheep. You have chosen me and converted me. You have given me a new heart to minister to those who are hungry and thirsty and to be hospitable to strangers. I have a love from you and seek to let that Divine love spring through me to those who are naked and to those who are in prison.

You, Holy Spirit, testify to me the sweetness of these “good works”. I believe you “made” me for such works. They are part of the Kingdom that you have prepared, from the very foundation of the world, for me and for all of those who are yours.

It is actually your person who does the works through me, and I do them out of my salvation not to earn my salvation.

By Your Grace

Titus 2; Ephesians 2

Your grace on my life has become obvious to me, Father. By your grace, I have salvation of my soul. In grace, you teach me, with your spirit and your word, to live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present age.

Now, I deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and instead, I focus on the blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus Christ, my great God and savior.

By your grace and plan, Father, he gave himself for me and redeemed me from every lawless deed, and he purified me for himself. Now, by your grace and decree, I am your special kin. I belong to you, Father, and I am zealous to be of use to you.

By your grace, and your power and person within me, I am your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which you, Father, prepared beforehand that I walk in.

Never Cast Out

Hebrews 2; John 6

Father, I know from your scripture that you have put the world to come, that is the future, in subjection to Jesus, as Lord, Savior, and Messiah.

You have and will crown him with glory and honor. You have set him over the works of your hand. You have put all things in subjection under his feet.

There is, therefore, now and forever more, nothing that is not put under him. For now we do not see that. We see Jesus, who was made, for a moment, a little lower than the angels, to suffer death as the propitiation for my sins.

He is honored by you, Father, and by your grace, he tasted death for everyone who is yours. In so doing, he brought many children into glory.

He is the captain of our salvation. He was made perfect through all that he suffered, and now he sanctifies all who you, Father, have given him. He will not lose one of us whom you have given to him, and he will never cast us out.

Perfected Forever

Hebrews 7 & 8

Lord Jesus, hallelujah! You are the surety of a better covenant. You have an unchangeable priesthood because you live forever. You are able to save to the uttermost all of us who come to God, our father, through you. You always live to make intercession with the Father for each of us who are yours.

You, Lord Jesus, are the perfect high priest for me. You are holy, meek, and undefiled. You are separate from sinners and higher than the heavens.

You do not need to offer up daily sacrifices for sin, including your own sin, because you offered up yourself as a perfect sacrifice once for all.

The law appointed high priests from men who have weakness, but God, our father, with an eternal oath, appointed you, Lord Jesus, the son who has been perfected forever, as high priest forever.

Therefore, now, through you, Lord Jesus, I have a high priest who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in heaven. Jesus, my high priest, ministers in the sanctuary of the true tabernacle erected in heaven by you, Father.

Thankful

Ephesians 2; Galatians 3; John 14; Galatians 5

Thank you, Father, for the gift of faith. By your grace, I am saved by faith. Having begun in faith, I continue in faith. The just live by faith and are not perfected by the law.

You, Lord Jesus, redeemed me from the curse of the law by becoming the curse and by taking on the curse for me. You died the death that I deserved.

By your righteous life and atoning sacrifice, Lord, all the blessings of Abraham come upon me, and I receive the infilling, indwelling Holy Spirit. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit make their abode in me.

So now I walk in your spirit, Father, and I do not fulfill the lust of my flesh. I am led by your spirit, and I am not under the law. I stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has made me free, and I do not use my liberty as an opportunity for the flesh.

The works of the flesh are evident, but I belong to you, Lord Jesus, and I have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. I live in the Spirit, and I humbly walk in your spirit, Father, free and thankful.

My Lord and My God

2 Corinthians 4; Psalm 9; 2 Corinthians 3

Thank you, Father, you raised up the Lord Jesus and also raised me up with him so that I can be presented to you. You arranged and accomplished all these things for my sake by your grace, and now, I abound in thanksgiving, and I glory in you as my Savior and God.

I praise you, oh Lord, with my whole heart. I tell of your marvelous works. I am glad, and I rejoice in you. I sing praises to your name, Most High.

Thank you, Father, that you granted me repentance and conviction, and I turned to you, and the veil over my “eyes” was taken away.

Now I know you. I know your spirit, and you dwell in me and commune with me. Where your spirit is there is liberty. Now I can behold your glory.

Now I’m transformed into the image of my Lord Jesus Christ day by day. I move along from glory to glory led by your Holy Spirit, my Lord and my God.
