My Delight

Psalm 119; 1 Peter 2; Psalm 119; Galatians 5

Thank you, Father. You deal bountifully with me. I have been born again by your grace, and now I live in Christ, and I keep your word. You have opened my eyes, and I can see the wonders of your scripture and your salvation.

My new man is a pilgrim and sojourner in this fleshy world; just a stranger in the earth.

I meditate on your statutes, and your testimonies are my delight. Your Holy Spirit counsels me. You teach me, oh Lord, and I keep and obey your word. I delight in your word and your way. I walk in liberty as I follow you.

I stand fast in the liberty that I have in and through Christ Jesus. In Christ I live by faith working through love.

I walk in your spirit, Father, and I no longer fulfill the lust of the flesh. I am led by your spirit and no longer under the law. I have crucified the flesh, and now I bear the fruit of your Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance abide in me and pour out of me.

Through the Word

1 Peter; Ephesians 2; John 3; Galatians 5

Father, I gird up the loins of my mind. I’m serious in seeking after you and your word. I rest my hope fully upon your grace that is revealed to me and delivered to me by the revealed Jesus Christ.

Now, by that grace, through faith in Jesus as your messiah, I am born again. Your spirit dwells in me now forever, and I am led by your spirit. Now I am free from my former lusts, and I am holy in my conduct because you, Holy Spirit, who are now the life in me, are holy.

For I have been redeemed with the precious life and atoning sacrifice of Christ. You, Lord Jesus, gave yourself as a lamb without blemish or spot for me that I, through you, would believe our father who raised you from the dead. Now, Lord Jesus, you are glorious, and my faith and hope are in you.

I have been born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives in me and remains living in me forever.

For The Coming

John 1; 1 Thessalonians 5

You, Lord Jesus, are the word, and you are God. In you and in your word is divine eternal life. Now you are my life and my light. Now by your grace and indwelling presence, I am no longer in darkness. Instead, I am a son of light and a son of the day.

I watch for you, Lord, and for your will and prophecy in everything. I am sober and serious to seek you and to follow you. I put on the breastplate of faith, and I meditate on your great love for me and your joyous salvation of my soul.

By your grace, Father, I am free from your wrath and saved through my Lord Jesus Christ. Now I live together with Christ forever and ever.

Now I rejoice always. I am in constant communion with you, Father, and I abound in thanksgiving. You, the very God of Peace, sanctify me completely, and my whole spirit, soul, and body is preserved blameless for Christ. I know it is done for you, Father, are perfectly faithful.

All Fullness

Ephesians 3

With my eyes on you, Lord, and my mind filled with your scripture, Father, I do not lose hope, even though for a season I live in a foolish and perverted world. Today I bow my knees to you the father of my Lord Jesus Christ.

I am a Christian, and I belong to your family, Father, because of Christ’s mercy and sacrifice. Strengthen me today with the might of your Holy Spirit in my inner man. You dwell in my heart and mind today, Lord, and I am rooted and grounded in your love.

By your grace and presence, I can comprehend with all the saints the width and length and depth and height of the love of Christ. I know you, and I know something of your love for me, Father, and even though it passes all my ability to fully understand, still, I believe, and I rejoice, and I am filled with all your fullness.

You do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think. Your divine sovereign power dwells in me and glorifies you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Revived

Psalm 142; 2 Timothy 2; Psalm 143; John 10

Lord God, I was lost in sin and selfishness, yet even then, in your love and mercy, you granted me repentance, and I escaped from the trap of evil.

I was brought low. My soul was in prison, but you turned my heart and mind back to you. You brought me out of prison, and you dealt bountifully with me.

Now you hear my prayers, oh Lord. You attend to my supplications, and you are faithful to answer me.

I remember your actions and your presence in my life. I meditate on your works. I raise my hands in praise of you. You hold me, and nothing can pluck me out of your hand.

You deliver me, oh Lord, from harm. I take shelter in you. You teach me to obey and to enjoy you and your salvation. Your good Spirit leads me to an eternal place of righteousness. You have saved me, Lord. I am revived.

Light In Our Mind

Romans 1 & 3

Father, I love your gospel. It is your power to salvation for everyone who believes. Your righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, and the just live by faith.

You show your person to all men through your creation. Your invisible attributes are clearly seen in all the things that were made. Your eternal power and sovereignty are so clear that all could know you are God, so any who will not see and glorify you are without excuse.

Striving so hard not to see your presence, those who will not believe and give thanks become more and more futile in their mind. They profess great wisdom and yet become obviously foolish. They are ungrateful, and their hearts are darkened. Therefore, Father, you give them up to uncleanness and give them over to their vile passions.

But to those who see you in creation and who are drawn to you in faith, you become a light in our mind. We see that your righteousness comes to each of us through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has justified me through faith in your gospel, Father.

Living In Me

James 1; Romans 9; James 1

I thank you, Father, for the good and perfect gift of your indwelling presence. Through Christ’s life and death, you provided me a righteous robe and propitiation for my sin.

Now your Holy Spirit dwells in me, and I am led to obey and serve. It is a great and perfect salvation from a lost and dying world.

Now I am brought forth from the dead by your word of truth, and my new person is a kind of firstfruit of your creation. I am humble and in awe before you, Father.

I am quick to listen to your word. I am slow to speak until I have some understanding. And I am careful not to be angered or offended by your word, for you are God. You are perfect and sovereign. You are the potter, and I am the clay.

Therefore, I lay aside all wickedness, and I receive with humility your implanted word, and your word, living in me, saves my soul.

Fully and Forever

Isaiah 60; Ephesians 1

Fear and worry are no longer heard in my heart nor is there wasting or destruction in my life. I am surrounded by the walls of your salvation, Father, and I am secure behind the gates of sure praise to you as sovereign and loving God and Redeemer.

Now my mind is filled with your light, day and night. You are everlasting light to me, Father, and your presence in me and your communion with me is glorious. My days of mourning and regret are over. Now I am righteous before you, through faith in Christ Jesus. I am your inheritance, and you are my inheritance.

I have trusted in you, Lord Jesus. I have heard your word, and I believe your word. I am saved for your glory. You have sealed me with your Holy Spirit as a guarantee to me of my inheritance until your day of redemption comes, and I enter fully and forever into your presence.

Fruit Comes Forth

Isaiah 61

Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit was upon you, and you were anointed by God, our father, to preach good tidings to the lost, to heal the brokenhearted, and to proclaim liberty to the captives.

In grace, you moved in my heart and mind and showed me that it was time to repent and to live in faith in your lordship and saving grace. I saw my sin, and I mourned.

You comforted me, and you gave me the beauty of your perfect life and atoning sacrifice in place of the ashes of regret. You filled me with the joy of your salvation and an understanding of your sovereignty so that I am clothed in a garment of praise for you as God and Savior.

Now I am filled with your spirit and rooted in you as Christ and Redeemer. You, Lord Jesus, are my righteousness, and your fruit comes forth through me to your glory and honor.

Grounded in Love

Ephesians 3 & 4

Good morning, Father, I bow before you. Fill me according to the riches of your glory that I would be strengthened in my inner man by the person of your Holy Spirit.

In that way, Christ dwells in my heart through faith, and I am rooted and grounded in love and able to comprehend with all your saints how wide and long and deep and high is your love for me. Christ loves me even more than I can know, and through that love, I am filled with all your fullness, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Today, Lord, lead me that I would walk worthy of your calling; that I would walk in humility and gentleness and patience. Work in me today, Lord, that I would come to a solid faith and a true knowledge of you, Lord Jesus. Perfect me that I would be like you, that I would not be tossed about by bad doctrine or deceitful men.

By your grace and presence in me, I put off my old man, and I am renewed in the spirit of my mind. Today, I put on the new man who is created according to your will and way, Father, in true righteousness and holiness.
