Just Due

Revelation 14, 15 & 16

I fear you, Father, and I give glory to you. I know the time of your judgment will come. You made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water, and I worship you.

Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, oh King of the Saints. I fear you, oh Lord, and I glorify your name. You alone are holy. All nations will come to worship before you. Your judgment will show up and will be unavoidable.

You are righteous, oh Lord. You are the one who is and who was and who is to be. You judge all things. Those who have shed the blood of your saints and prophets will choke on their blood, for that is their just due.

Full of Fullness and Life

1 John 5; John 15; Galatians 5

This is my testimony. You, Father God, have given me eternal life. This life is great and good and joyous because it is in Christ. I have Christ Jesus, and he has me. Therefore, I have this divine eternal life. I know this because your scripture tells me, and because your Holy Spirit communes the reality of this life to me.

So, I have confidence that you hear me, Father, when I ask anything according to your will. Since I know that you hear me, I know I have the petitions that I ask for.

Your will is that I abide in my Lord Jesus, and that his word abide in me. Then I will ask with the right desires, and those things will be done for me. You, Father, will be glorified in my life since I will bear much fruit and will be a disciple indeed of my Lord Jesus.

You love me, Lord Jesus, and I abide in your love. I keep my eyes and thoughts on your word, and you fill me with your presence and testify your truth to me. Your divine, beyond expressible, joy and peace, fill me, and my joy is full. Full of your fullness and life; love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

I Abide, and I Walk

1 John 1&2

Father, I have heard your word. I have fellowship with you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. My joy is full.

You, Father, are light. In you there is no darkness. I walk in the light because you are the light, and we have fellowship with one another, and the sacrifice of Jesus, your son and my savior, cleanses me from all sin.

I have sinned, and that nature still lives in my flesh, but I have confessed my sins, and you, Father, are faithful and just and have forgiven my sins and cleansed me from all unrighteousness.

You have done these things, and you have birthed your new man in me so that I will not continue to sin. Sin no longer has dominion over me, but if I do sin, now that I am yours, I have an advocate with you, Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous. He himself is the propitiation for my sins.

I love your word, Lord Jesus, and I keep my eyes on your word. By this, I know I am yours. By your word living in me, I am perfected. I abide in you, Lord Jesus, and I walk with you just as you walked.

Partake and Escape

2 Peter 1

Father, since the beginning, you have chosen men, and through faith in Christ Jesus, you have made them holy, and they have spoken and written as your Holy Spirit moved them. Those words have become your scripture.

Your word is not cunningly devised fables. It is eyewitness accounts of your Majesty. Your scriptures prove that Jesus is your Christ, that he received from you glory and honor. You spoke to him in excellent glory, “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased”.

Through your scripture, I know you, Father, and I know Jesus as my Lord. Through that knowledge, grace and peace are multiplied to me, and your person and power fill me with everything pertaining to life and godliness.

You have chosen me and called me into glory and virtue. You, Father, have given me exceeding great and precious promises that, through your word, I partake of your divine nature, and I escape the corruption that is in this world.

Everyday and All Day

1 John 4&5

Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Messiah. You came and lived and died and rose again to birth many people into your kingdom, to make us brethren. I love the brethren, and I believe you are the Father’s deliverer, so I know I am born of God, our father.

I love your word, Lord Jesus, and I keep my eyes on your word, and your words order my thoughts. I am filled with faith by your word, Lord, and that gives me victory over the temptations and tests of the world.

I am of you, Father, because I have been born a second time, this time by your Holy, eternal, Spirit, who has birthed a new, spiritual man in me. This new man is perfect, with your person and your nature, Father.

Now I am able to overcome the world, the flesh, and the demonic, because he who is alive in me is greater than all that is in the world; greater than the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and greater than the pride and vanity of life in the flesh.

I know I abide in you, Father, and I know you abide in me, because you have given me your spirit. Your spirit communes with me and witnesses to me every day and all day.

In Me

1 John 3

Father, with joy and thanksgiving, I behold the love you have bestowed on me, that I am enabled and transformed into your child. The world, of course, does not know me, because it did not know Christ, but I have begun to truly know you.

I am your child, Father, now and forever. It has not yet fully been revealed what all I shall be in Christ, but I see glimpses of it in your word, and your Holy Spirit speaks to me of your glory and fullness of joy.

I know that when your day comes, and Christ Jesus is fully revealed, I shall be like him for I will see him as he is.

So now, Father, by your grace and presence and illumination, I am not deceived. I practice righteousness, and in Christ, I have your perfect righteousness. Jesus, your Christ, was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.

I have been born again. Born from above. Your seed is in me, Father, and I do not practice sin because I am in you, and you are in me.

Gird Up

Isaiah 8; 1 Peter 2&1

Father, you have spoken strong to me, and you have instructed me not to walk in the ways of the world. I follow you, Lord, and I know you are sovereign in every detail of your creation.

I am not afraid or troubled by the conspiracy of those who are evil for I know you are the Lord of Hosts. I hallow you. It is you who I fear in love. I dread the thought of failing your desires for me.

You are my Sanctuary.

To those who are evil and lost, you are a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence. Many will stumble. They shall fall and be broken and snared and taken away.

I once walked in this darkness, but now, by your election and grace, I have seen your great light, Jesus, my Lord and Savior. I come unto him as my living cornerstone, chosen and precious. My new life is built on Christ Jesus. I am chosen and made part of your royal household, Father. I am now your own special kin. You called me out of darkness into your marvelous light.

Therefore, I gird up the loins of my mind. I am serious to be your disciple. I rest my hope fully on your finished work, Lord Jesus. I am holy as you are holy.

Full of Glory

1 Peter 1

Blessed be you, my God, and my father. In accord with your abundant mercy, you begot me to a living hope, through the resurrection of my Lord Jesus from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that does not fade away reserved in heaven for me.

I was elected by you, Father, in accord with your foreknowledge, to be saved and sanctified by your Holy Spirit. Your grace is on me as a gift, and your peace is multiplied to me.

I am kept by your power through faith in salvation. I know it will all be revealed in the last time.

In the meantime, I rejoice greatly, even though in this current time various trials test the genuineness of my faith. Through it all, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I praise and honor you. I glory in revelation and communion with Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

Though I do not see you, Lord, I hear you, and I know you. I rejoice with you in faith and believing, with joy inexpressible and full of glory. You have saved my soul.

Ready at All Times

James 3; 1 Corinthians 1; James 3&4; Philippians 2; James 4&5

Thank you, Father, for the gift of your wisdom. Christ is wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification for me. Thus my wisdom is from above. It is pure and peaceful, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality and without hypocrisy. I sow your righteousness, in peace, to all around me.

In humility, I submit to you, Father. I resist the devil, and he flees from me. I draw near to you, and you draw near to me. I continually commune with you to stay clean and pure.

I work out your salvation with serious attention and persistence, and you work in me both to will and to do for your good pleasure. I live in your will, Father. I make my plans, but I know that it is you who has charge of all my tomorrows. My life in this flesh is like a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

So, I do not boast, instead, I am patient and joy filled, communing with you each day, Father, living in the peace that passes understanding and being ready at all times for your coming.

All That I Do

James 1; Romans 12; James 1

Good morning, Lord God, you are the Father of Lights. The good and perfect gifts of salvation and your indwelling Holy Spirit have come down from you to me. There is no variation or uncertainty from you. You are faithful and immutable.

You brought me forth by your word of truth, and I am a kind of first fruit of your creation. By your grace and word and presence in me, you have renewed my mind, and I am transformed.

Now I am swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for I know my wrath does not produce the character of Christ in me. I lay aside all filthiness and the overflow of wickedness, and I receive, with meekness and thankfulness, your word implanted in my mind and heart, and thereby you save my soul.

I do not just hear your word and then go on about my business and forget that I belong to you. Instead, I kneel and peer into your word and apply it constantly to my every thought and feeling. I live in your perfect law of liberty, and I am blessed in all that I do.
