The Call

Hebrews 10; Philippians 3

Clothed in your righteousness, Lord Jesus, I have the boldness to enter the holiest. This is the new and living way, which you established and consecrated, for all who are yours through faith. The veil, your flesh, Lord Jesus, was torn, and now I am able to commune with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, person to person, ceaselessly.

I draw near to you with a new, true heart, in full assurance of faith. My heart is sprinkled from an evil conscience, and my body is washed with pure water. I hold fast to my confession of perfect living hope through you, Jesus, as my Lord and Savior. I do not waiver, because I know you are faithful.

You love me and encourage me, and I am stirred up to be a useful instrument in your hands. I love your fellowship and your good works. I assemble together with other believers. We exhort and encourage each other.

I do not draw back, instead, I constantly press on that I may lay hold of that for which you, Christ Jesus, have also laid hold of me. I forget what is behind, and I reach forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal of the prize of the upward call of God through you, Christ Jesus.

Covered

Colossians 1; Hebrews 10; Romans 12; 2 Corinthians 5

Lord Jesus, for my eyes and ears and understanding, you are the very image of the invisible God, our Father in Heaven. The law was a shadow of the good things, but you, Lord, are the fulfillment of the promises of our father.

You came, Lord, and took on flesh, and did the will of the Father. You ended the first covenant and established the last. You offered your body, Lord Jesus, and through that sacrifice, I have, once for all time, been sanctified.

You offered one sacrifice for sins forever and sat down at the right hand of God. Now you wait till your enemies are made your footstool. By this one offering, you have perfected, forever, me, and all those who are being sanctified.

Holy Spirit, you testify these truths to me. I know your word fills my heart and my mind. I have been transformed, as you renew my mind and lead me.

I am forgiven, and my sins and lawless deeds you remember no more. I am in Christ, and I am a new creation. The old things have passed away, and now, everything in me is new. I am covered with your righteousness, Lord Jesus!

The Author

Hebrews 5; John 6&10; Hebrews 5&6

Hallelujah, Lord Jesus, you are our father’s only begotten son. He appointed you high priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.

In the days of your flesh, you offered up prayers and supplication, with tears, to our father, and you were heard because of your Godly fear.

Nevertheless, you still learned obedience by the things you suffered, and having been perfected, you are the author of eternal salvation to all who were drawn in by our father.

We have all come to you, and you will in no way cast us out. We are yours. We hear your voice, and we follow you.

You, Lord Jesus, are our solid food. You mature our senses, and we are able to discern both good and evil. So by your grace, Lord, we move onto perfection.

Now, Father, I labor in the love you have poured into me, and in your name, I serve as a channel of your blessing to the saints, with diligence and full assurance of the hope I have in the immutability of your council.

This hope is an anchor for my soul. It is sure and steadfast, and it holds me firm behind the veil, where you have gone before me, Lord Jesus, as my high priest forever.

One of the Many

Hebrews 2

Lord Jesus, you are the Captain Of my Salvation. God, our father, has put all things in subjection to you, although we do not yet see that, because first you took on flesh to suffer death to bring me to glory as one of the many sons of God.

You were made like me, Lord, that you can be a merciful and faithful high priest in all things pertaining to God. You made propitiation for my sins. You suffered in the flesh and were tempted, and thereby, you are perfectly able to aid me in my tests and trials.

I am a partaker of flesh and blood, so you, Lord Jesus, shared in the same, and through your death and resurrection, you destroyed the power of death, that is the devil, and you released all who are yours from bondage to the fear of death.

Now I am one with you, Lord, and you call me brother. We sing praise to God, our father. We fellowship with him. We put our trust in him and live in a peace that passes understanding.

Given To Me

Hebrews 1&2; 2 Peter 1; Romans 5

You, Lord Jesus, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. All that will perish, but you remain; they will grow old like a garment; like a cloak, you will fold them up, and they will be changed. But you, Lord, are the same, and your years will not fail.

Therefore, I give earnest heed to all the things that you tell me lest I drift away. You, Lord Jesus, have given to me exceeding great and precious promises that, through your word, I am become a partaker of your divine nature, and I have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

So, I make every effort to add to my faith, virtue, and knowledge with humility, and perseverance, and godliness, and kindness, and godly love. You demonstrate your love for me, in that while I was lost in sin, you, Lord Jesus, died for me.

I am justified by the atoning sacrifice of your life, and saved from the wrath of our father. I am filled with sure hope, Lord, because you have poured your divine, living love into my heart through your Holy Spirit, who you have given to me.

Life Saving Exchange

Philemon; Hebrews 1&2; Romans 8; 1 John 2; 2 Corinthians 5

I thank you for joy in the Lord, Father! Refresh my heart in Jesus today, Jesus, your only begotten son, whom you call God, whom angels worship. You give him a throne forever and ever. He is king, and his scepter is righteousness. He loves right and hates lawlessness. Therefore, Father, you have anointed him with the oil of gladness more than anyone.

Now my Lord Jesus sits at your right hand and intercedes for me. He is my advocate and my salvation. Through him, I have been justified and reconciled to you.

In a great life-saving exchange, you made Christ Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for me, that I could become perfect righteousness in him. Now in Christ, I am complete!

Lay Hold

Titus 2; 1 Timothy 6, 1&2; 1 Peter 5

Father, your grace that brings salvation has appeared to me, and you have taught me that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, I should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking always for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of my great God and Savior, Jesus Christ

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving yourself to redeem me from every lawless deed and to purify and make me your person, zealous for good works.

Now I pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. I lay hold on eternal life to which you have called me, Lord Jesus

I pray for our leaders, Lord. Guard them, convert them, give them wisdom, and take out the liars and thieves, that we can live quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence.

I humble myself under your mighty hand, Father. I cast all my care upon you, for I know that you care for me. I resist ungodliness and confusion, steadfast in the faith, and you, the God of all grace, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle me to your glory and dominion and honor, forever and ever.

The Crown

2 Timothy 4

Thank you, Lord, that you stand by me, and you strengthen me. Through me you speak and teach your word. Make me ready at any time to convince, rebuke, exhort, and teach with all patience.

Guide me, Holy Spirit, that I will be watchful in all things, that I will do the work of an evangelist, that I will fulfill the ministry you created me for.

I know you were faithful and sovereign, Lord. You deliver me from every evil, and you preserve me for your heavenly kingdom.

By your power and person in me, I will stand firm; I will finish well; I will walk in faith; I will receive the crown of righteousness which you have prepared for me and for all who love your appearing.

Out of a Pure Heart

2 Timothy 1-3

Hallelujah, Father, I am strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Your Holy Spirit dwells in me, and he is committed to do your work in me, Lord, for your glory and my good!

By your will and the work of your apostles and teachers, I have obtained your salvation, which is in Christ Jesus and filled with eternal glory.

Now I am diligent to present myself approved to you, Father, a worker who is not ashamed, who can rightly handle, understand, and share your word of truth. I stick to your scripture and avoid debate and arguments with those who profane and babble foolishness and corruption.

For all scripture is given by your inspiration, Father, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that everyone of your people will be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

By the power of your work and the atonement of my Lord Jesus, I am a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful to you, Father. I flee youthful lust. I pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, and peace with all those who call on you out of a pure heart.

Divine and Easy

2 Thessalonians 2&3

I give thanks to you, Father, that from the beginning, you chosen me for salvation, through sanctification by your Holy Spirit and belief in the truth. You called me to you by your gospel, to obtain the indwelling glory and communion of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, I stand fast and hold onto all that you have taught me and shown me by word and spirit.

Father, by your grace, you have given me everlasting consolation and good hope. You comfort my heart, and you establish me in every good word and work.

I thank you, Lord, that your word lives in me and flows out of me, to those you have ordained to hear it, with power and glory for you.

Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that you deliver me from unreasonable and wicked people. You are faithful, and you establish me and guard me from the evil one.

I have confidence that, from you, through you, and to you, I will obey, and be pleasing to you. For you, Father, Son, and Spirit direct my heart to and with divine love and easy patience.
