Matthew 16; James 1

Father, thank you for good teachers in my life, pointing me to good doctrine.

I know that you, Lord Jesus, are the Messiah. You are the Christ, the son of the living God. You are the head of your body the church. You are the rock upon whom your church is built. Your church will crush all the power of Hades

I keep my eyes on you, Lord Jesus. I believe your word, and I feed on your word. I am mindful of the things of God, our father.

I follow you, Lord. I deny my old selfish lusts. I reckon myself dead to sin and alive to your spirit. I follow you. You are the leader, the Lord.

In faith, I give up my life daily to your will and way, and I gain eternal life with you, in peace and love and joy.

I receive with joy and humility your engrafted word, and my soul is saved forever, to your praise and glory.
