No Wickedness

Psalms 95, 96, 95 & 101

Today, Father, I worship you as almighty God. You are great and greatly to be praised. All other “gods” are just idols made by people, but you, Lord, are the maker of heaven.

All honor and Majesty are yours. Strength and beauty are in your sanctuary.

I bow before you, father, for you are my maker. You are my God, and I am a child in your pasture, a sheep of your hand.

Today I hear your voice. My heart is soft for your word and pure towards you, father. I know your ways, Lord, and today I am at rest in you, Lord Jesus.

Today I praise you, father. I sing of your mercy and justice. Today, led by your spirit, I will behave wisely in a perfectly mature way. I will set my heart on you today, Father.

I will set nothing wicked before my eyes. Straighten my heart out, Lord. Make all perverse thoughts leave me so that, I will know and speak no wickedness.

No Equal

Isaiah 46

Father, you are God and there is no other. You are God and there is none like you. You declare the end from the beginning. You know and control the future. Your council stands and you do all your pleasure.

You speak it and you bring it to pass. You purpose it and you do it. You bring your righteousness near to those who are not stubborn. You place your salvation in front of those whom you have chosen.

By your sweet grace you have chosen me, father. You have upheld me from birth. You guarded me in the womb. Now, even into my old age you are my God. Even into my gray hair you carry me.

You have made me, father, and you bear my burdens. You carry me through this world and you deliver me to yourself for eternity. Praise you, father, there is no one like you. You have no equal.

Creator and Mighty God

Romans 1

Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. He was born of the seed of David according to the flesh. He is declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of Holiness, by His resurrection from the dead.

Through him I have received grace and his call to believe his word and to be separated to your gospel, father. You have called me to be sanctified.

I am certain of the gospel of Christ. It is your perfect power, father, for salvation to everyone who believes. Your gospel reveals your righteousness, father, a righteousness that comes through faith. You tell me clearly that, ” the just shall live by faith.”

Some people will not believe. Your wrath will be upon all who remain ungodly and unrighteous. Since creation your invisible attributes are clearly seen, father, so unbelief is without excuse.

Professing to be wise many people will become fools and miss your gospel, father. But by your grace, Lord, I will live in your gospel and worship you as Creator and mighty God.

Reconciled

Romans 5

Thank you, Father, for the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness. I received these by faith and stand in them today with joy. I live in eternal life, reconciled to you, father, and saved from your wrath through your Holy One, my Lord, Jesus, the Christ.

I am justified by faith and I have peace with you, father, through my Lord Jesus. By faith I have access into your grace, father, in which I stand and rejoice in the sure hope of your glory in me and with me.

This hope thrills me because I see and feel your love, father, poured into my heart by the Holy Spirit whom you have given me.

You demonstrated your love for me in that even while I was a selfish sinner Christ died for me as payment for my sins.

By your grace and Jesus’s death, I am justified and saved from your wrath. By Jesus’ life I have an eternal life and I rejoice because I am joyfully reconciled to you, my heavenly father.

Hidden

Psalms 143 & 144; Colossians 3

Thank you, Father, that you hear my prayers and that you give ear to my supplications. You are faithful to answer me.

Teach me your will, father, for you are my God. Holy Spirit, you are good. You lead me in a place of uprightness. Revive Me, o Lord, keep my soul out of trouble. Cut off my enemies, oh Lord.

You, o Lord, are my rock. You trained me to do spiritual battle. You are loving kindness and you are my fortress, my hightower, and my deliverer. You are my shield and the one in whom I take refuge.

You stretch out your hand and you rescue me and deliver me out of the noisy foolishness of the lost. Their mouths speak lies and their right hand is the hand of falsehood.

But I sing a new song to you, o God. I keep my eyes on the Lord Jesus, and I set my heart on things above and not on the things of this earth, for I am dead and my life is hidden with Christ in God.

Through Faith in Jesus

Acts 28, 20, 22 & 26

Hallelujah, father, your salvation has come to me and I hear you. Today I pray I would hear and understand; that I would see, and that I would perceive.

Soften my heart, Holy Spirit. Keep me sharp. Open my eyes and ears that I would see and hear your truth. Thank you, Lord, that you give me understanding and you heal me.

Today, Father, that by your grace I walk in your whole council. I have faith in Jesus, my Messiah, and humble repentance towards you, Heavenly Father.

I belong to you, father, and I am born again by your Word. You build me up and you give me an inheritance among those whom you are sanctifying.

You have chosen me, Lord, that I should receive my sight; that I would know your will; that I would see your Just One, and that I would hear His voice.

In Christ I have received forgiveness of sins and an inheritance through faith in Jesus.

Trust in Him

Psalms 2; John 3&14; Psalms 2

Lord God, all around me many of our people rage and plot vain things. Many of our leaders and rulers set themselves up against you, Lord. They counsel together against you, father, and against Jesus, your anointed one. They say, “let’s break up God’s plan; let’s cast God’s way away from us.”

These things try to worry me, but your word says you sit in heaven and you laugh. You hold these people in derision. You speak to them in your wrath. You distress them in your deep displeasure.

For you have set your king upon your Holy Hill of Zion. You have declared your decree that Jesus is your begotten son; that he is your way to salvation. You have given him the nations as an inheritance and the ends of the earth are his possession. He shall rule all with a rod of iron.

Pay attention, people, let us serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with humility and honor Jesus, the Messiah. Blessed are all of us who put our trust in him.

Brother

Hebrews 2, 10, & 2

Lord Jesus, in your love and courage, you took on flesh just like mine. You shared in living in the flesh that through your death (and resurrection) you would destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and thereby you released me from the bondage of fearing death.

You, Lord Jesus, are a merciful and faithful high priest in all the things pertaining to God, my father. You have made propitiation for my sins. You offered one sacrifice for sins forever, and then sat down at the right hand of God, our Father, to wait till your enemies are made your footstool.

By your one offering, you have perfected forever me and all those whom you have predestined to be sanctified. You, who sanctifies and I who am being sanctified are one. And you call me brother.

Not Fear

Phillipians 1 & 2; Hebrews 13

I thank you, Father, for saving me and filling me with your Holy Spirit. I’m confident that you, father, who have begun a good work in me will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

I pray today that I will be filled with the fruit of righteousness by Jesus, unto the glory and praise of you, my father. For it is you, father, who works in me both to will and to do your good pleasure.

Father, you are the God of Peace. You brought again from the dead my Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd. By your grace and atonement you make me perfect in every good work to do your will, working in me that which is well pleasing in your sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.

So I thank you, Lord, that I am content. I know that you will never leave me nor forsake me. So I can say boldly, “the Lord is my helper. I do not fear!”

Greater Than All

Romans 8; John 10

Father, you knew me before the foundation of this world and you predestined me to be conformed to the image of your son, my Lord Jesus, so that I would become one of his many brothers.

Even more than that, you not only predestined me, but you called me, you justified me, and you glorified me through Christ Jesus. You are for me, father, so no one can succeed against me.

My Lord and Savior, Jesus, your Christ, died for my atonement and rose from the dead and is now forever at your right hand where he makes intercession for me.

I hear your voice, Lord Jesus. You know me and I follow you. You give me eternal life, and I shall never perish, neither shall anything pluck me out of your hand.

God, our father, has given me to you and he is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck me out of my father’s hand. You, Lord Jesus, and the father are one.
