Wrath

John 3

Father, you are just and merciful. You sent your son that the world through him could be saved. All who believe in him as their savior are not condemned, but those who do not believe are condemned already because they do not believe in the name of your only begotten son, Jesus, as Lord and Savior.

This is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and many people love darkness rather than the light. Their deeds are evil. They practice evil and hate the light because their evil is exposed.

By your grace, Father, I see that Jesus is the truth. I long to live in the truth with Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

Lord Jesus, I decrease, and you increase. You have come from the Father, and you are above all. You know the Father. You have seen him and communed with him.

You testify and certify that God is real and true. You speak the very words of God, our father. The Father loves you, Lord Jesus, and has given all things into your hand.

I believe you are the Christ, Lord Jesus, and I have everlasting life. Those who do not believe that you, Lord, are God’s son and the Savior shall not see life, and the wrath of God abides on them.

No One Who Believes

John 1 & 3; Luke 12; John 3

Lord Jesus, you are the Lamb of God who takes away my sin. You baptize me with the Holy Spirit. Behold, you are the Lamb of God.

By your grace through faith, Lord Jesus, I have been born again. What is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Spirit is spirit. I am born once of water and born again from above; born into the kingdom of God, my father. It is God, my Father’s good pleasure to give me the kingdom.

The Holy Spirit comes unseen, like the wind, but I can see, and hear, and feel his divine presence and power. By your presence, Holy Spirit, I am born of God; Christ Jesus is raised up in my life, and my mind is renewed. I gaze upon my savior, and I am saved, healed, and delivered. I have eternal life.

God, our father, loves me and gave Jesus to me and to all who would believe so that no one who believes would perish, but instead, all who believe would have everlasting life.

Doubts Do Not Stay

Luke 24; John 1; Luke 24

I am not troubled. Doubts do not stay in my heart. I behold you, Lord Jesus. I know you live in me. You speak to my spirit. You are mine, and I am yours. You lead and encourage my flesh and bones. In that way, I know you are real. You are the Christ, and you are my savior.

You are the word. Through the words you spoke, all things are fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the Psalms.

It was always your way for salvation that you would come, and take on flesh, and live among us; that you would suffer and then rise from the dead on the third day.

You preach to me repentance and remission of sin. With joy, humility, and thanksgiving, I receive you, Lord Jesus, as my savior, and I believe in your name. I have been born again from above.

Now, I am your witness, and the person and promise of God, our father, is upon me and fills me.

My Savior and My Brother

Matthew 16, 18, & 6

Lord Jesus, you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. You speak to me. You show me eternal, spiritual things. I set my mind on your words today, Lord, and not on the things of man.

Today, Lord Jesus, I follow you. I deny myself. I take up my cross, and I follow you. I’m humble before you, Lord. Like a child, I depend on you and your presence within me completely.

I hallow God, our father. I live in his kingdom as he would have it here today on this earth. I thank him today for all my daily needs. I forgive others their trespasses as God, our father, has forgiven me.

Thank you, Father, that today I am led, by your spirit, toward righteousness, and I am delivered from evil.

I do not labor to lay up treasure on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves steal, instead I lay up for myself treasure in heaven. My treasure is in God our father, and in you, Christ Jesus, my savior and my brother. My heart is with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

A Pleasure to My Soul

Proverbs 1 & 2

Lord Jesus, with your wisdom, you cried out to me. You spoke into my thoughts, and I saw my sin. I saw my foolishness, my selfishness, my course towards destruction. In your grace, you granted me repentance, and I turned at your reproof.

You poured out your spirit on me. You filled me with your word. I listened to you. You reached out to me, and you grabbed hold of my hand.

With joy and humility, I heeded your counsel. I saw my sin. I received your reproof and confessed my sin. I listened to you, and I was born again. I was forgiven, and my mind began to live renewed.

Now Lord, I dwell secure in you, and I am at peace, without fear of disaster. I receive your word day by day. I treasure your commandments. I am attentive to be led by your spirit into wisdom and understanding in each circumstance.

I call out to you for communion and leadership. You hear me, and you fill me with your presence. You fill my heart, oh Lord, and you are a pleasure to my soul.

In Your Truth

John 17; Romans 1; Colossians 3; John 17

Lord Jesus, God our father has glorified you. He has given you authority over all flesh, and in that authority, you have given me eternal life. This is eternal life that I know God the Father, the only true God, because I know you, Lord Jesus, as my Lord and Savior.

The Father glorified you, Lord Jesus, and declared you to be the Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by your resurrection from the dead. Now, you are seated with the Father in the heavenlies in the glory that you had before the world existed.

You gave me the word that the Father had given you, and I received that word and have come to know the truth. You, Lord Jesus, are the Messiah sent by the Father.

I am yours, and because I am yours, I am the Father’s as well. I am one with you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You keep me, and you guard me. Your joy fills me. I am in this world but no longer of this world. You sanctify me in your truth; your word is truth.

Escaped

2 Timothy 2; Neamiah 9; Colossians 2

Father, in your mercy, you granted me repentance and led me to the knowledge of your truth. I came to my senses and escaped from the snare of the devil who had taken me captive through the lust of my flesh.

I turned and cried out to you, and you heard me, and you delivered me from my selfish self. You are gracious and merciful, Father. You are my God and my Savior.

You, Father, are ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. Not only did you forgive me, but you justified me by and in Christ Jesus.

You redeemed me from foolishness. You gave me your Good Spirit to fill me, to instruct me, and to lead me. You gave me daily bread from the mouth and life of Jesus. You gave me the cleansing blood of Jesus to satisfy my thirst for true righteousness.

Now, in Christ, I am complete and lacking in nothing. I am alive forever in Christ, filled with him who is the head of all rule and authority.

Everlasting Joy

Ephesians 2; Isaiah 35

Hallelujah, Lord, thank you for your great mercy. I was dead in my trespasses and sins, following the course of this world, and snared by lust and filth, but you, Father, made me alive together with Christ. By your grace, you saved me. You bought me back, and raised me up, and seated me in the heavenly places in Christ.

Now, I see, and I know your glory and your majesty, Father. In you, my hands are strengthened, and my feeble knees are made firm. In you, Lord Jesus, I am strong, and I do not fear. You have come and saved me, and you will come again with vengeance and recompense for all that is against you.

You have opened my eyes and unstopped my ears. I leap with joy like a deer, and I sing praise to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You refresh me and provide for me in this dry and foolish land.

You have shown me your way of salvation, Father. Jesus is the way. He is the highway to holiness. He is my savior. He is righteousness for me. In Christ, I belong to you. In Christ, I am ransomed, and I am anointed with everlasting joy.

Born From Above

John 20, 6, & 3

Thank you, Father, for your scripture that is written so that I may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, I may have life in his name.

In accordance with your will, Father, by your grace and quickened by your Holy Spirit, I looked upon Jesus, your son, and I believed in him as your Messiah, and I was given eternal life and the promise of being raised from the dead.

For I have been born again, born from above, and now I can see your kingdom, Father. I have been born of water and again of your Spirit. That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Spirit is spirit.

I see you lifted up, Lord Jesus. I gaze upon you, Lord. You are light to my soul. Now I come to the light, and I receive you as my Lord and Savior.

I believe in you, Lord Jesus, as my Lord and Savior, and in that faith, I have eternal life with God our father, and I am delivered from the wrath of God.

My Aim

2 Corinthians 4 & 5

Thank you, Father, that you shone your divine light into my heart. You drove out the darkness with the light of the knowledge of your glory in me, through Jesus Christ in me.

Now I know I have your spirit in me like a treasure in a clay jar. Your surpassing power dwells in me not because of my works, but because of your grace poured out on me.

So, I am greatly encouraged even though for a while my outward man ages, and even though the world around me brings trouble, and perplexity, and tribulations. By your grace and presence, my mortality is swallowed up by your eternal life.

Now I live aware of the death of Jesus in his body, so that the life of Jesus is manifested in my mortal flesh. I know that you, Father, who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead, will raise me also with Jesus and bring me into your presence.

So, I am always of good courage. Whether I am at home in this body or away and present with you, Father, my aim is to please you.
