Reign In Me

1 Corinthians 4; Galatians 6; Ephesians 2; Romans 5 & 6; Colossians 3

I don’t have anything good and living in my life and character that you did not give me, Lord. So, I have no reason to boast about myself or to be proud of my deeds. In fact, without your intervention in my life, I would be lost and gone.

Today, I do boast about Christ Jesus and about his sacrifice for my salvation. I boast and give thanks for your cross, Lord Jesus, by you, the world is crucified to me, and I am crucified to the world.

Now it is all about the new creation within me. You, Father, have made me alive even when I was dead in sin and trespasses. You birthed a new man in me, born from above, by your will, through your Holy Spirit.

So now, I have been baptized into Christ. First into his death so my old nature is dead and no longer has dominion over me. And now, with a new man, the very person of God, I walk in newness of life.

Now you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, reign in my life. My thoughts, intentions, and decisions are now all yours. I live in the new man who is renewed through your knowledge, Father.

Your word dwells richly in me. I rejoice always, and I am ceaselessly in communion with you. Your Holy Spirit leads me with the mind of Christ. Whatever I do, I do it all in your name Lord Jesus, giving thanks to our father through you.

Able and Pleasing

Luke 1; 1 Corinthians 6; Romans 8

Blessed are you, Lord. You fellowship and commune with me. You have redeemed me. You have delivered me from the evil one. I can serve you without fear, in holiness and righteousness, all the days of my life, and then forever.

Through your word and the Lord Jesus, your Messiah, you give me knowledge of salvation by the remission of sin, by your grace, through faith in Christ Jesus.

Christ Jesus, the Day Spring, has come to me through your tender mercy, Father. He has bought me and called me. He has justified me and sanctified me.

You, Father, foreknew me, and you predestined me to be conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus so that I would be one of his many brethren. Now, my Lord Jesus makes intercession for me with you, Father, everyday.

I am filled with your Spirit and led by your Spirit so, I know the things of the Spirit, and I’m able to walk in obedience and to be pleasing to you, Father.

The Treasure

2 Corinthians 4; Galatians 5; Ephesians 1

Good morning, Holy Spirit, thank you for your indwelling presence and for your divine life and glory. You are the treasure who fills me, and the glory is the very presence of God, with my body as your vessel.

You have called me to liberty, not liberty as an opportunity to sin, but liberty, through love, to serve our father as an instrument in his hand.

Today, Holy Spirit, I walk led by you, and I do not fulfill the old lust of my flesh. I am led by you, Holy Spirit. Out of my life flows your fruit: love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. I am dead to my flesh and alive in you, Holy Spirit. I live in fellowship with you, and I walk with you, led by you.

I have heard the word of truth, the Gospel of my salvation, and I have believed it, and you, Holy Spirit, have sealed me as belonging to God, our father.

Your presence now, in me and on me, guarantees me that I am God’s own child and that I belong to him forever; that I am redeemed and that I will be redeemed in the last day. You, Holy Spirit, are my assurance of redemption and of eternity with God, in his glory, and to his praise.

Everyday

Psalms 32, 33, & 16

Hallelujah, Lord Jesus, thank you for your grace and for my salvation. You have heard my confession, and you have forgiven the iniquity of my sin. You, good Lord, are my hiding place. You preserve me from trouble.

You instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. You guide me with your Holy Spirit and your holy word. I have understanding, and I am cheerfully obedient and teachable.

You surround me, Lord, with songs of deliverance. I am glad in you, and I rejoice.

My soul waits on you, Lord. I am joined up with you. I am in you, and you, and the Father are in me. You are my wisdom and righteousness, and you are my shield. My heart rejoices in you, and I trust in your holy name. Your mercy is on me everyday, and I live in your perfect hope.

You, Lord Jesus, are my Lord. All my “goodness” is nothing apart from you. But, by your grace, we are never apart. You are my Lord now, and you counsel and instruct me. We are in ceaseless communion.

Therefore, my heart is glad, and I live in your glorious fellowship. I rest in hope. You are always with me. You show me the way of life. In your presence is fullness of joy, and at your right hand are pleasures forever more.

From Before

John 16 & 17

Lord Jesus, you have gone to our father, but you are still with me through the Holy Spirit, who you have sent to me. The Spirit ministers conviction, judgment, and righteousness to me, and ultimately to the whole world.

Your Spirit is wisdom and truth to me. He is help and conviction. He is teaching and comfort. Your Spirit guides me in all truth. He speaks to me from your authority, Lord Jesus. He speaks to me your words.

He speaks of things to come, and he speaks of the glory of you and our father. He takes your life and breath, Lord Jesus, and he declares them to me.

Lord Jesus, you have given me your word and your Spirit. Your joy is fulfilled in me. I am sanctified by your Spirit and by your word of truth.

I am one with you and the Father. You are in me, and I am in you. Your glory dwells with me and in me now. I am one with you. You, Lord, in me, and our father in you. All of us called together, in love, in the name of Almighty God, from before the foundation of the world.

Filled

John 14 & 15

Thank you, Father, and thank you, Lord Jesus, for the gift of your Holy Spirit who dwells now in me. He is my Lord and help, and he abides with me forever. He is the Spirit of Truth.

Many people in the world cannot receive him because they do not see him or know him, but by your grace, Lord, I know him and hear him, for he dwells with me and is always in me.

You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, do not leave me like an orphan. Oh no, you come to me and make your home in me.

Now I am filled with your Spirit, Father. Your Spirit is truth, comfort, encouragement, and conviction to me. He teaches me all things and brings to my remembrance all that you, Lord Jesus, have said to me.

So, I am not troubled, and I do not fear. I receive your peace, Lord.

I rejoice that you, Lord Jesus, are with our father, and that you and the Father are with me by the presence of your spirit in me. You abide in me, and your words abide in me.

Divine, Perfect, Sovereign

1 Corinthians 1; Colossians 2; 1 Corinthians 2

Thank you, Father, for your grace which is given to me by Christ Jesus, who has enriched me in all utterance and knowledge. You are faithful, Father, and you have called me into an abiding fellowship with Jesus, my Lord, and my elder brother.

Thank you, Father, that in a world where so many live in human wisdom, a world that is dark and so foolish that it is obviously stupid, you have made for me, and, for all who have faith in you, a way to live in peace and truth. For all who are in faith, you have made Christ to be wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. We are complete in Christ.

My faith is not in the “wisdom” of man but in your divine, perfect, sovereign power, Father.

Abounding

Romans 15 & 16; Colossians 1 & 2

Father, you are the God of Hope, and, through faith in Christ Jesus, you see that I am filled with all joy and peace, and that I abound in hope by the power and presence of your Holy Spirit who dwells and communes with me.

You, Father, have established me in your kingdom according to your Gospel and through the preaching of Jesus Christ. You have given me revelation and understanding of your mysterious means of conversion kept hidden since the world began, but now revealed to all who are enabled to see and hear.

The answer to the mystery of your means of sanctification, salvation, and eternal glorification is your placing of Christ into each believer by your Holy Spirit. Thus, the literal Glory of Almighty God dwells in me now, and forever.

Thus, you are able to present me to yourself perfect in Christ Jesus, and I am able to walk now, day by day, rooted and built up in Christ and established in faith and abounding in thanksgiving.

Edify

Romans 14; 2 Timothy 2; Romans 14

I do not want to hinder your work, Father, for the sake of details and religious opinion and doubtful things. For your kingdom is not about eating or drinking or even certain feast days or spiritual “giftings”. Your kingdom is about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Everyone who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to you, Father, and approved by man.

Let each believer study your word to show themselves approved, workman who need not be ashamed. Men and women who can rightly divide the word of truth. People who can recognize false teachers and shun vain babbling.

For each of us, Lord, will give an account of ourselves to God, our father. None of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Therefore, let us pursue the things that make for peace and the things by which we may edify one another.

Holy and Acceptable

Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 1; Romans 12

Father, in view of your mercies, I receive, with gladness, your righteousness, redemption, sanctification, and wisdom. These are mine in Christ Jesus.

In response, I offer my body to you, as a living sacrifice. By your grace and cleansing atonement, my life is now a holy and acceptable sacrifice, and my life is a reasonable sacrifice in view of the promise of eternity in your glory and pleasure.

Your word and your Holy Spirit renew my mind and change how I think and what I think, and I am transformed into the person you created me to be. No longer am I led by my flesh, caught up in the doctrine of the world. Now, I am a new man who lives in the person of the Lord Jesus.

I think soberly, and I am humble in view of my weaknesses. Thank you, Father, for your sovereign plan to redeem me or I would be lost. You have dealt generously with me and placed me as a member in your body, the church.

You are working your gifts in me that I can be of use to you. Now I live in your spirit. I rejoice in hope. I am patient in tribulation, and I am fervent and ceaseless in prayer.
