Pools and Springs

Isaiah 41

Thank you, father, that you have chosen me, and you will not cast me off. I do not fear, for you are with me. I am not dismayed for you are my God. You strengthen me, and you help me. You uphold me with your righteous right hand.

You are God, and you hold my right hand, and you tell me, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Even though I am weak and human, you, oh my God, are the one who helps me.

You, the Holy One, are my redeemer. I rejoice in you, Lord. In you, the Holy One, I glory. I am poor and needy, parched with thirst, and you, my Lord, you answer me. You open rivers in bare land and fountains in the valleys. You make for me pools and springs in the wilderness.

What If

2 Timothy 4; John 17; Colossians 3

Father, I believe that Jesus is your son and your Christ. I believe that Christ is all and in all. Jesus is in me, that is my hope of glory, a glorious outcome regardless of current circumstances, appearances, and suffering. Nothing dissuades you, my Almighty Father, from your designated plans and path.

Nothing surprises or confounds you. You do not slumber nor sleep, but instead you constantly, thoroughly, and joyfully work out your kingdom in me, and in all those who are yours, and who love the thought of your appearing.

I am yours, and you are mine. I put on as one of your chosen ones, holy and beloved, a compassionate heart, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. I bear with others, and I forgive others as Christ forgives me.

The peace of Christ rules in my heart, and I am thankful. The word of Christ dwells in me richly. My Lord teaches and admonishes me in all wisdom. I sing with thankfulness in my heart to you, father.

I Was Wrong

1 John 1; Galatians 2; Colossians 3

Father, I have been wrong. Thank you for forgiving me. I’ve spent too much time allowing selfish and self-centered thoughts to lead in my mind, my feelings, and even my words.

This is wrong. I repent. I have wallowed in self-pity and given place to a “put up on ” attitude, and this is wrong. I repent.

I see and know the blessings of God, and I abound with thanksgiving. I thank you, father, for all the sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, and grands that you have given to me.

Now I surrender myself anew. I realize I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I get to live, but this life I live is Christ living in me.

Today, whatever I say and do, I do it all to the Lord Jesus giving thanks to you, father, through him. Whatever I do today, I do it hardily as unto you father and not for man. For I serve the Lord Christ.

Firm to the End

Hebrews 2&3

Thank you, father, for my Lord Jesus, who took part in flesh and blood, so that through his death, he has destroyed him who had the power of death, that is the devil. Through his death and resurrection Jesus has delivered me from the bondage of the fear of death.

Jesus took of the seed of Abraham, which included me, and in all things, he became like me, his brother, so that he is my merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to you, my Heavenly Father, Almighty God.

In all this Jesus reconciled me to you, father. Moses was faithful to you, father, as a servant, but Jesus, the Christ, is faithful as a son over his own, including me as his. I hold fast to confidence in Jesus, and I rejoice in that hope. Firm to the end.

Living Hope

1 Peter 1

Thank you, father, for electing me and sanctifying me through your Spirit. Thank you that in your abundant mercy you have begotten me into a lively hope by the resurrection of the Lord Jesus from the dead to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that fades not away and is reserved in heaven for me.

Thank you, father, that I am kept by your power through faith into a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last times. I rejoice in that salvation even though now, for a season, if need be, there is unhappiness and manifold test and trials. These try my faith as fire tries gold, and my faith is found to the praise and honor and glory of my Lord Jesus, the Christ.

The Incorruptible Seed

1 Peter 1

I gird up the loins of my mind. I am sober and hope to the end for the grace that is brought to me by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

As an obedient child, I do not fashion myself any longer according to my former lust when I was ignorant. But now, as you, father, have called me to be holy, by your grace I am holy.

I am redeemed by your grace and Jesus’s atonement. I am redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, who was ordained before the foundation of the world.

Through Jesus, I believe in you, my Heavenly Father, who raised up Jesus from the dead, and who gave him glory, so that my faith and hope would be in you, the true God.

My soul is purified because I have believed your truth. I am born again by the incorruptible seed, the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.

Spirit and Life

John 6

Lord jesus, I come to you, and I believe in you. You are meet for my every need. Those who come to you will never hunger, and those who believe in you shall never thirst.

By grace, God, the father, has chosen me and given me to you, Lord Jesus. I have come to you, and you will never cast me out. It is the Father’s will that none of those who are his will be lost.

By God’s grace, and power, everyone who looks on you, Lord Jesus, and believes in you, will have eternal life, and you will raise him up in the last days.

I only come to you, Lord, because the father draws me. The bread you give me is your flesh, your perfect life, and the blood you shed is your death, your atoning sacrifice. I feed on those two things, and I have eternal life. I believe you were and are the Messiah.

I seek hard after you day by day so that I will be in you, and so that you, Lord Jesus, will be in me by your word and by your Spirit.

It is the Spirit who gives life, and the flesh is no help at all. The words you speak to me, Lord Jesus, are Spirit and life.

A Place for Me

John 14

Lord Jesus, I believe in God, and I believe also in you. My heart is at rest and untroubled. In God’s house there are many rooms, and you have gone on to the father to prepare a place for me.

I know that you will come again, and you will take me to yourself, so that where you are, I will be also. You are the way, the truth, and the life. I have been reconciled to God, the father, through you.

Now I know the Holy Spirit. He is my helper, and he is the truth. He dwells with me and is in me.

I am in a living, eternal, divine communion with you, Lord Jesus, and with God, my Heavenly Father, through God the Spirit.

You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, make your abode in me. You have left your peace with me. You give me your divine peace in your eternal person.

Holy Spirit, you show to me the Father’s love and presence. You, Holy Spirit, teach me all things and bring to my remembrance all the things that my Lord has said to me. You, Holy Spirit, show me the thoughts and intents of my heart, and you guide me in the way I should go.

Full Assurance

Colossians 2&3

I thank you, father, that by your grace, I have all the riches of full assurance of understanding and knowing your mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

So, as I have received Christ I continue to walk in him by faith. He is my Lord, Savior, and Messiah. I am rooted and built up in him and established in the faith as your word, father, teaches me, and I am abounding in thanksgiving.

I am complete in Christ, who is the head of all rule and authority. I have been buried with him in baptism and raised up with him through faith in your powerful working, father. I was dead in my sins and trespasses, but you have made me alive together with my Lord Jesus.

I have been raised with Christ, and I seek the things above where Christ is seated at your right hand, father.

I set my mind on things above and not on the things that are on the earth for I have died, and my life is hidden with Christ in you, father. When Christ who is my life appears, then I will appear with him in glory. Thank you, father, for my great salvation.

From Him, Through Him, and To Him

1 Corinthians 1; Romans 10; John 14; Colossians 2&3; Romans 11; 2 Peter 1

Because of your will and grace, father, I am in Christ Jesus, and he has become to me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. The righteous Spirit that you have given me says in me, “the word is near me, he is in my mouth and in my heart. “

Jesus is the word of faith that I proclaim. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. Jesus is my Lord, and I believe with all my heart that you, father, raised Jesus from the dead.

I know that through that faith I am saved by Jesus’s life and his atoning sacrifice. I call upon the name of Jesus, and I am saved. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I am reconciled to you, father, through Jesus, the Christ.

I am complete in Christ, who is the head of all rule and authority. Faith is not about gentile or Jew, but faith is, “Christ is all and in all. ” For from him, and through him, and to him are all things.

Thank you, father, that you in your divine power have granted to me all things that pertain to life and a godliness through the knowledge of you and your son.
