Not Fail

Hebrews 1; Isaiah 61; Hebrews 1

Lord Jesus, you are God’s son. God the Father has begotten you. All the angels of the Father worship you. You are God, and your throne is forever and ever. The scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.

You love righteousness, and you hate lawlessness. Therefore, God the Father, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than any other one.

You are light, and the glory of God the Father is upon you. The gentiles have come to your light, Lord Jesus, and kings have come to the brightness of your rising.

In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain. You are the same, and your years will not fail.

I Also Walk

Titus 3; John 3; Galatians 5

Thank you, Father, for your kindness and love. In your mercy, you saved me through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit who you poured out on me abundantly through Christ Jesus, my Savior.

I am justified through your grace, Lord Jesus, and I have become an heir of God, and I live in the sure hope of eternal life with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I am obedient to our laws. I do not speak evil of anyone. I am peaceable and gentle. I am humble, for I once was slave to my fleshy lust and deceived by my selfish humanity.

Now, however, I have been born again. Now, I am born of your Holy Spirit, Father. Now, I walk in your Spirit, and I no longer fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

The flesh and the Spirit are contrary to each other, but hallelujah, I am dead to my flesh and alive forever by God the Spirit. I belong to you Christ Jesus. I live in your Spirit, and I also walk in your Spirit.

Blessed Hope

Titus 2; Ephesians 2

Thank you, Father, that Christ, through your grace and in your word, has appeared to me and brought me salvation. You have taught me to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age. I avoid ungodliness, and I deny worldly lusts.

I keep my eyes on your scripture, and I look for and live daily in your blessed hope. I look forward to your glorious appearing, Lord Jesus, my great God and Savior.

You, Lord Jesus, gave yourself for me and redeemed me from all my lawless deeds, and by your sacrifice, you purified me, and I became your special person, your servant, your brother, an instrument in your hands, zealous to be used by you.

In you, Christ Jesus, I am a masterpiece, set apart for good works that God, our father, determine beforehand I would be involved in.

Forever With You

Isaiah 43

I do not fear, for you, Almighty God, my father, have redeemed me. You have called me by name, and I am yours. This chaotic world rocks like the sea, but I am not alone for you are with me.

Human issues drag at me like a river, but they do not overcome me, because you hold me fast. Anger and rage burn in many people, but I pass through this world, and I am not burned.

You, Lord Jesus, are my Lord and Savior. You are God, and you have saved me and reconciled me to God, our father.

I am precious in your sight. You have honored me with your indwelling presence. You love me. I do not fear because you are with me. You created me for your glory, and I am called by your name.

You, Father, formed me. You made me. I am a chosen servant of yours. You gave me grace and faith so that I could know you and believe you. I am your witness, and I testify that you, Father, are God and that I am forever with you.

Instead

Isaiah 8; Colossians 3

I do not spend much time worrying about the conspiracies of men. Of course they conspire to sin. They are sinners, and until God saves us and converts us, we will sin without conscience or repentance.

I am not afraid of the threats of corruption, nor am I troubled. Instead, I keep my eyes on you, Father. I hallow you. You, Lord God, are the one I fear and the one I spend my concern on.

You are a sanctuary for me. You are a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to those who will not believe. To those who plot evil you are a trap and a snare. They will stumble and fall and be broken and snared in their evil plots.

I am filled and led by your Holy Spirit, Father. I am your disciple. I wait upon you. My hope is in you, Lord Jesus. I’m hidden in you with all your other brothers and sisters.

Bring To Pass

Psalm 36; John 14

I trust in you, Lord. For a time, I dwell here in this flesh and in this world. I feed on your word and on your faithfulness. I delight myself in you, Father. You give me a new heart, and you give me the desires of that heart.

I commit my ways to you, Lord. I trust in you. You bring things to pass in my life as you have ordained in heaven. Through Christ I become your righteousness. Your righteousness and justice shine in my life like noonday sun.

I rest in you, Lord Jesus, and I wait patiently on you. I cease from anger, and I forsake wrath. I do not fret.

My heart is not troubled. I believe in God, my father, and I believe in you, Lord Jesus. I know you have prepared a place for me in our father’s house and that someday you will come again and receive me to yourself that where you are I will be also.

I know, Lord Jesus, that you are the way, the truth, and the life, and that I have come to God, our father, through you by grace through faith.

Abundantly Satisfied

1 Timothy 4 & 6; Psalm 36

Thank you, Father, that I am nourished in your word of faith and in good doctrine. I do not give heed to deceiving spirits and perverted doctrine.

I meditate on your word and give myself entirely to you, Father, with Jesus as the Lord of my life. I pray I am a good witness to believers in word and conduct, and in love, and in spirit, and in faith, and in purity.

I am content with you, Father. I brought nothing into this world, and it is certain I can carry nothing out. I do not trust in uncertain riches. I trust in you the living and sovereign God. You give me richly of all things to enjoy.

Your loving kindness is precious to me, oh God. I put my trust under the shelter of your wings. I am abundantly satisfied with the fullness of your house. You give me drink from the river of your pleasures. The fountain of life is with you, Lord. You are light to my eyes and life to my soul.

Live and Work

2 Thessalonians 3

Lord God, I pray your word would run swiftly and powerfully and fill our country and be glorified. I pray you would have your way with the people I live with and that your truth would be believed and glorified and that our nation would repent and come to obedience. Deliver us from unreasonable and wicked leaders.

Lord, you are faithful. Establish me and guard me from the evil one. Direct my heart into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. Fill me, Holy Spirit, that I will keep your word in my mind and heart and that I will obey you with joy.

Give me wisdom and understanding about who I associate with. Give me energy that I will be useful and not a burden to anyone. Take charge of me today, Holy Spirit, that I will live orderly and work in quietness and eat my own bread.

I am energized by your presence and communion, Father. You are my Lord, and through you, I have peace always in every way.

Always In Everyway

1 Timothy 1; 2 Thessalonians 3

Father, you are King Eternal, immortal, invisible. You are God. You alone are wise. To you be honor and glory forever.

You are merciful to me through Christ Jesus. You showed me patience and a pattern for being a believer in your eternal gospel.

Christ Jesus came to save sinners, and I was certainly one, but I obtained mercy. Your grace, Lord Jesus, was exceedingly abundant. You filled me with faith and love.

Now I follow good doctrine. I do not give heed to foolishness or disputes, rather I live in Godly edification and faith. I love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

I do not grow weary in doing good. I do not keep company with disobedience. I do not contemplate evil. You, Lord Jesus, the Lord of Peace, give me peace always in every way. You are with me always, and I am always in you.

Vengeance

2 Thessalonians 1 & 2

Lord Jesus, when you are revealed from heaven with your mighty angels, you will, with flaming fire, take vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey your Gospel. These are punished with everlasting destruction from your presence and from the glory of your power.

When you come in that day, you will be glorified and admired among all those who believe. Before that day, there will be a falling away, and the man of sin will be revealed. He is the son of perdition, and he opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as god. He claims to be god.

Even now the mystery of lawlessness is at work, only you, Holy Spirit, restrain it until God, our father, removes your restraint. Then the lawless one will be revealed for a time. After that, you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, will consume the lawless one with the breath of your mouth and the brightness of your coming.

For now, Lord Jesus, you love me and give me hope. You comfort my heart and establish me in every good word and work.
