Yes, You Established

Psalm 91&90

Lord Jesus, even while I was lost in sin and self, you loved me. You came to me and showed me my filth and my bondage. Your love moved me to repent and to confess and to come back to you.

I love you, Lord, because you first loved me. Now I have set my love on you, and you have delivered me from my past.

Now I know your name, Lord Jesus. You are Christ and Lord and Savior. You have lifted me up out of the fleshy mire and set me on a higher place.

I call on you, Lord, and you hear me. We commune day by day and thought by thought. You are always with me, and you are active in every event in my life.

You deliver me, Lord, and you honor me, Lord, way beyond anything I deserve. You give me a long satisfying life, and I live filled with your salvation.

Your grace and sweetness fill me, Lord, and you use me, as you see fit, to do your work in my little part of time and space. Yes, you establish the work of my hands.

Nothing Is Better

Psalm 84; Colossians 3; Psalm 84

Father, you are the Lord of Hosts. I trust in you, and I am blessed. You, my God, are my sun and my shield. You have filled me with your grace and your glory. You have accounted to me the righteousness of Christ Jesus, and no good thing do you withhold from me.

Now I am hidden in the heavens with my Lord Jesus. How lovely it is to dwell with you, oh, Lord of Hosts. My soul is overwhelmed by your courts. My heart and lips cry out to you, my God of Life.

I have found a home with you. You are my God and King. I am blessed to dwell in your house forever.

My strength is in you and from you. My heart ceaselessly seeks to walk with you. I am filled with you, Father, and led by you from strength to strength.

Nothing is better than to be your man, and to live in your court.

Covered

Psalm 65&63

I am blessed because you chose me, Father. You drew me to you, and I came. Now, through faith, I am born from above, and I dwell in your courts. I have learned to be content and to stand in your great grace.

Through Christ Jesus’s life and death and resurrection, you perfected righteousness and credited that righteousness to my account. Now my answer is, I am in Christ, and Christ is in me, and thereby, I belong to you, Father, the God of Salvation.

You are my God. Early and always, I seek you. My soul thirsts for you and is satisfied. Your loving kindness is life itself, and my soul is fully satisfied as if fed with perfect food.

I praise you with my words. My lips are joyful. I am covered under the shadow of your wings. I stay close to you always, and your right hand upholds me!

In The End

Romans 5&6

Father, your word has come to me, and it is clear that sin abounds, but where sin abounds, grace abounds much more. Sin reigned in death, but now, hallelujah, grace reigns, through righteousness, to eternal life through Jesus Christ, my Lord.

By Jesus’s obedience, I, along with many others, am made righteous. I have received the abundance of your grace, Father, and I have received of your gift of righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus, my Lord. Now I reign over death with your everlasting life.

I am raised from the dead by your glory, Father, so that now I walk in the newness of life.

My old man is crucified with Christ so that sin in my body is rendered powerless, and I am no longer a slave to sin.

Therefore, sin no longer reigns in my mortal body, nor do I obey it in its lusts. Now, by the abundance of your grace, Father, and by the gift of your righteousness, Lord Jesus, I am free from sin, and I have become your bond servant.

I belong to you forever. I live now in the fruit of your holiness, Father, and in the end, everlasting life.

My New Inward Man

Romans 6; 2 Corinthians 5; Romans 7

Thank you, Father, that though I was at one time a slave to sin, yet now, I have obeyed from my heart the doctrine shown to me by your holy scripture and witnessed to me by your Holy Spirit, and I have been set free from sin.

Now I have gladly become a slave to righteousness. First of all to the righteousness of Christ Jesus, which perfects me for fellowship with you, Father. A righteousness accomplished and completed once for all time, solely by Christ, and imputed to my credit. You, Father, made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for me, that I could become your divine righteousness in him.

Secondly, I in my new nature do put my old fleshy man to death, and live in the newness of the spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. The letter of the law is spiritual, but I am still carnal. Sometimes what I want to do, that I do not practice, but praise God, I still want to live righteous, Father.

So in my flesh, nothing good dwells. But my new man, my new inward man, delights in your law, Father, and wars against my flesh, and reckons my flesh dead to sin and alive unto righteousness, Father. Praise you, Father, Christ has delivered me from this body of death!

You Fill My Vision

Psalm 62; Hebrews 7; 2 Corinthians 5; Psalm 91

By your grace and choice and call, Father, my soul is joined with you. You have sent Jesus, your Christ, to me, and he is my rock. He is my salvation. He is my defense. He makes intercession for me daily. He is my righteousness. I stand firm and solid in your grace.

I dwell with you, Most High, and you make your abode with me. You are my refuge and my dwelling place. No evil befalls me, and no plague comes near me.

You, Father, have given your angels charge over me. I am filled with your Holy Spirit, who keeps me in all of your ways. You cover me. You guide me. You give me wisdom to tread safely and accurately through this world, day by day and thought by thought.

I commune with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I call on you, and you answer. You are with me in all of life‘s circumstances. You deliver me, and you honor me way beyond anything I deserve – grace, great grace!

You satisfy me with long life, and you fill my vision with your glorious salvation.

Forevermore

Psalm 119: 169-175; Psalm 121

Thank you, Lord, that you have given me understanding through your word. You have delivered me according to your word. My lips praise you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You teach me your statutes. My tongue speaks your living word. Righteousness is in your commandments. I choose your precepts, Father.

I live in your salvation, Lord Jesus, and I look forward to your day. Your word is my delight. By your grace, my soul lives, and I praise you with all my strength and heart.

I lift up my eyes to you, Father, and you fill me with your strength. You, who made heaven and earth, are my God and a very present help in all of life.

You keep me firm in my faith and hope. You are always with me and guard me. You keep me, and you encourage me.

You preserve me from evil. You fill me with your eternal life. You watch over each day of my life and each step that I take, now and forevermore.

Much Greater

1 John 3; John 14&16; 1 John 4

This is your commandment, Father, that I believe on the name of your son, Jesus Christ, and his name includes Lord, Messiah, and Savior. He is my peace, my hope, my joy, and my Jubilee. Filled with his love for me, I love others as myself.

Your Holy Spirit communes with me day by day and thought by thought. Your spirit witnesses Jesus to me. He confesses to me the truth of your word.

I keep my eyes on your word, Father, and I abide in Christ Jesus, and he abides in me, through the person and presence of your Holy Spirit.

Your Holy Spirit teaches me all things and brings to my remembrance all of Jesus‘s word. He guides me into all truth. He speaks not on his own authority, but he speaks the very words of Jesus, and he tells me things to come. He glorifies the Lord Jesus in my mind and heart. He takes the truth of Jesus, my savior and my redeemer, and he declares it to me.

I belong to you, Father, and you have filled me with your very presence. You abide in me. There are spirits against you, Father, but I have overcome them, because much greater is your spirit, who abide in me, than the spirits who are of this world.

Never and Never

Romans 5; John 14; Hebrews 13

By your gift of faith, Father, and by your witness and communion, Holy Spirit, I am fully convinced that you, Father, are able and faithful to perform all that you have promised.

By your grace, you account my faith to me as righteousness. Your scriptures assure me that righteousness is imputed to me through faith in Jesus Christ, as your Messiah. He is raised from the dead by your sovereign power, delivered up as propitiation for my offenses, and raised for my justification.

By all of Jesus‘s faithfulness and courage, I am justified, and I have peace with you, Father. In faith, I am in Christ. I stand day by day in your grace, Father, and I rejoice in hope in your glorious presence.

You dwell in me now, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You never leave me, and you will never forsake me.

Shout for Joy

Psalm 32

I am so blessed by you, Father. My transgressions are forgiven, and my sin is covered. You did not impute my iniquities against me, and now, in Christ, I know the truth, and I am not deceived.

When I lived in sin and silence, I aged, and your hand came heavy on me. You granted me sight to see my sinfulness, and repentance to turn back to you and to confess my sin to you. When I confessed, you forgave.

Now you are my hiding place. You preserve me from trouble. You surround me with songs of deliverance.

You instruct me and teach me in the way I must go. You cause me to see with truth and accuracy and to follow willingly. I do not have to be bridled or bitted, because you give me divine understanding.

I trust in you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and mercy surrounds me. I am glad to be hidden in Christ, and I rejoice. You have saved me and transformed me, Lord, with an upright heart, and I shout for joy!
