From the Power

Daniel 5&6

Lord God, there was a time, a dark time in my life, when I was not humble in heart. I was hateful and self-serving. I held myself up against you, Lord, even though I knew better.

One night, with your finger, you wrote on the wall of my mind, and I saw how lost and enslaved I was, and in your mercy, you granted me repentance. I confessed my sin and turned back to you, my God and my Lord.

Now your excellent Spirit fills me. I have become faithful and sanctified by your truth. I know you are my God and Father, and that you hold my every breath in your hand, and that you own all my ways. I glorify you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Now I belong to you, Father. You send your angels to guard over me, to stop any who would devour me. I am guarded and gifted and guided by you, because my faith is in you and in your living word.

You are the living God, and you are steadfast forever. Your kingdom will prevail and overcome. It cannot be destroyed. Your dominion endures to the end.

You deliver, and you rescue. You work signs and wonders in heaven and on earth. You deliver me and all those who are yours from the power of the lions.

Forever in Peace

Daniel 4,3,4

Oh Lord, how great are your signs and how mighty your wonders! Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion is from generation to generation.

Blessed are you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for you deliver me, and all who are yours. You give us faith to stand against unrighteous rulers, and to worship you as the true and only God. You deliver us from fiery furnaces and from foolish delusions. You make us your servants, for your Holy Spirit dwells in each of us, who are yours.

You are the most high, and you rule the earth, and you give it to whoever you choose. You are the king of heaven and earth. Your works are truth, and your ways are justice. I have been taught your sovereignty by your spirit, and shown that all who walk in pride will be put down.

By your grace and truth, my understanding has become clear, and my reasoning has been sanctified, and I am able now to live forever in the peace and glory and splendor of your kingdom.

Called and Chosen

Hebrews 2; John 17; Hebrews 2

Lord Jesus, you are sanctified, and now you sanctify me with your truth. Your word is truth. Now I am one with you, and you call me brother. You took on flesh like me that, through your death, you destroyed the power of the devil and released me from any bondage to the fear of death.

You are my merciful and faithful high priest, in all matters, relating me and reconciling me to God, our father. You made perfect and complete propitiation for my sins.

Therefore, I give earnest heed to your word, Lord Jesus, and to your Holy Spirit, who dwells in me. I stay close, united to you. I pay attention to this great and beautiful salvation you have bought for me and brought to me.

God, our father, has witnessed you to me, Lord, by renewing my mind and transforming my character with his living word, and through the gift of his personal, eternal presence, in the person of God, the Spirit, living in me and leading me in every thought and action.

I was called and chosen to become yours, Lord Jesus. By your perfect life and atoning sacrifice, all things were accomplished for me, and I was brought into the kingdom of God as a son, with you, Lord Jesus, as the Captain of my salvation.

The Captain

Acts 9&10; Hebrews 2

Thank you, Father, for choosing me to be yours. You have given me sight to see you and filled me with your Holy Spirit to be led by you and to be in constant communion with you. Today I walk in the fear of you, Father God, and in your comfort, Holy Spirit.

Truly, Lord, you are not partial with race or nationality, but from every nation, you accept any and all who will fear you and receive your work of righteousness by faith in Jesus, your Christ.

I have peace through Jesus Christ. He is Lord of all. You, Father, anointed Jesus of Nazareth with your Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for you, Father, were with him.

You, Father, ordained that Christ, my Lord, would die hanging on a tree as the perfect propitiation for sin. You proved your satisfaction by raising Jesus up from the dead on the third day and showing him openly to many witnesses, who ate and drank with him.

He commanded us to preach and to testify that he is the Messiah, and that he is ordained to be the judge of the living and the dead. Through his name, all who believe in him will receive remission of sin. He is the captain of our salvation.

I Will

John 21,17, & 16

Lord Jesus, I love you, and I will feed your young ones. I love you, Lord, and I will shepherd the flock that you have given me. My Lord Jesus, you are the Christ, and you are my Lord and Savior, and I love you. I will witness your salvation to all who will listen.

I live in your divine plans and in your details for my life. I do not worry. I just follow you. I have not seen you with my eyes, but I believe. I have seen the effect of your indwelling Holy Spirit and your word on my life, my thoughts, my hope, and my character, so I know your person, your presence, and your power.

You are the way, the truth, and the life, and you are sanctified by your perfect life, and I am sanctified by faith in the truth of your life and your word.

You have declared the Father to me, and you have told me of the perfect love of the Father, who dwells in me.

Someday, I will see you face-to-face, Lord Jesus, and my heart will rejoice, and I will be filled with joy everlasting.

You and the Father are with me, and I have peace. In this world, there will be tribulation, but I am of good cheer, because I am in you, Lord Jesus, and you have overcome the world!

Now and Forever

John 14

Lord Jesus, my heart is not troubled, for I believe in God, our father, and I believe in you, my savior. In God’s house, there is plenty of room, and you have gone there to prepare a place for me.

Someday you will receive me to yourself, that where you are, I will be with you. I know where I am headed, and I know you are the way, the truth, and the life. I come to our father through you, Lord Jesus. I know you, and by that, I know our father, Almighty God.

You and the Father are one, Lord Jesus. You are in the Father, and the Father is in you. The words you speak are his words.

I believe in you, Lord Jesus, and you do great works in me and through me. I ask that you save me from sin and perfect my heart toward God, and transform my character and renew my mind, and you do all that and more, for my good and for your glory.

I keep my eyes on your living word, and you and the Father love me, and you make your abode in me, now and forever!

Ever Present

Psalm 146 & 147

Hallelujah! You are my God; therefore, I am happy. You are my ever present help. My hope is in you, for you are my master. I bow before you. You raise me up. You sharpen me and clean me. You open my eyes so I can see, and you birth your kingdom in me.

I sing praise to you, my great, loving Father. You gather me up with your people from all over your creation. You heal my broken heart, and you bind up my wounds.

You, oh Lord, are great and mighty in power. Your understanding is tender, accurate, and eternal. I am humble before you, helpless without you, and you lift me up and guide me to be a useful vessel to you.

I fear you, Lord, with honor and respect, with a desire to live in obedience to you, with Jesus, your Christ, as my Lord and Master. You take pleasure in me, and you are merciful to me.

Praise you, my Lord!

Faithful and Wise, Pleasing to You

Hebrews 12; Like 12

Good morning, Holy Spirit. Fill me and lead me today that my faith would be alive and strong. Keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. See that there is no hypocrisy in me, and that I properly fear the Gather who holds life and eternity in his hand, and who is the only legitimate object of fear.

Thank you, Father, that you value me. You know the things I need, and you clothe me and feed me. So, I am not anxious about my physical needs. I concentrate on seeking you and your kingdom, Father.

I do not fear about my future or my usefulness to you, because it is your pleasure to give me your kingdom. I have done nothing to earn that provision, for all that I have comes as a gift from you. But, because of your grace, gift, and promises, I wish to be a good steward, who is generous towards the brethren, and rich towards you, Father.

I gird up my waist and follow the lead of your spirit, and I invest my treasure in your kingdom. I watch for you and your will every day, in every decision. My desire, Lord, is to be a faithful and wise steward in your kingdom and of your salvation. I long to be pleasing to you.

Dwells, Fills, Leads, Converts, and Renews

Luke 11

Lord Jesus, your word tells me to be ceaselessly in prayer and to be instant in prayer. You tell me to persist in prayer. You tell me to ask, and it will be given, and to seek, and I will find, and to knock, and it will be opened. Yet in many instances, I don’t seem to “get” what I “prayed” for.

But, I see in your word that the real gift, the real answered prayer, is the gift of God the Spirit who literally dwells in me. When I have your spirit dwelling in me and leading me, then I ask for the right things, and I get answers to the things I seek to know, and a way is open to me to get my character conformed to you, Lord Jesus.

So, Father, fill me today with your Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, and Holy Spirit, take charge of my life in every way. Today, the glory of Almighty God dwells in me, and tells me, and leads me, and converts me, and renews my mind.

My life in Christ is perfectly simple and unaffected by the confusion of the world.

There is; There is; There is

Luke 11; 1 Corinthians 1; Philippians 4; John 15; Matthew 11

Good morning, Father. Through Christ Jesus, I have come to know you, and I hallow your name. Your kingdom has come on this earth through Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection, and through the pouring out of your Holy Spirit, and by the establishment of your body on earth, your church.

Each day you give me the bread I need for life, not just a physical bread for my body, but more importantly, you give me living bread from heaven through the words of Jesus, your holy scripture.

I have forgiven others for any offense in my life in the same way you have forgiven me. I follow your word, and I am led by your Holy Spirit. I ignore and avoid any temptation to sin.

I persist in communion with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, because, there is wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification; there is peace that passes understanding; there is joy and rest for my soul.
