Poured Out

Philippians 1; Romans 5

Fill me, Holy Spirit, and take charge of me in every way that my conduct today would be worthy of the Gospel of Christ. Today I stand fast, in one spirit, with one mind, striving together with others for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified, or discouraged, or deceived by the adversaries of God.

For you, Father, have given me the gift of faith to believe and the gift of affliction so as to grow strong. I am justified before you, Father, by faith in Jesus, your Christ, and I have peace with you through him. I stand firm in that faith even in tribulation.

I know that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance character, and character, hope. Your divine hope does not disappoint me, Father, because your love is poured out into my heart by the Holy Spirit who you have given to me.

Glorious, Fearful, and Wondrous

Exodus 15

Who is like you, oh Lord, among the “gods”? You are glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders.

In your mercy, you lead forth your people, the people who you have redeemed. You guide them with your strength to your kingdom and to your heaven.

It is not so with your enemies. They will hear and fear. Sorrow will overtake them. Their chiefs and mighty men will tremble and dread.

Your right hand, oh Lord, is glorious in power. With it, you dash your enemy to pieces. You overthrow those who rise against you. You send forth your wrath, and it consumes your enemies like stubble.

You, Father, are my strength and my song, and you have become my salvation. You are my God, and I praise you. You, great God, shall reign forever and ever!

Perfect Peace- Everlasting Strength

Isaiah 26; 2 Corinthians 5; John 3; Isaiah 40 & 41

My mind is stayed on you, Father, and you keep me in perfect peace. I trust in you forever, and you are my everlasting strength.

You have appointed me for salvation. In Christ, by Christ, I have become your righteousness. I am a new creature; born from above by your Holy Spirit, Father

The old things of me have passed away, and behold, now, everything about me is new, and holy, and pleasing to you.

I am your servant. You have chosen me. You are with me, Father, therefore, I do not fear, and I am not dismayed. You strengthen me, and you uphold me with your righteous right hand.

Now I wait on you. I commune with you all day and night. I am knitted together with you. You, Father, fill me and lead me with your Holy Spirit. You renew my strength. I mount up on wings like an eagle. I run and do not grow weary. I walk and do not faint.

Continued Entrusting

1 Peter 2; Romans 6; 1 Peter 2

Lord Jesus, you lived gracious in the sight of our father. You suffered for being good and godly. You suffered for me and are now an example of how I should live in pleasing to our father.

You committed no sin, neither was deceit found in your mouth. When you were reviled, you did not revile in return. When you suffered, you did not threaten, instead you continued entrusting yourself to God, our father, who is the perfect and sovereign judge.

You bore my sins in your body on the cross, that I would die to sin and live to righteousness. By your wounds, I have been justified, and reconciled back to God, and adopted into the family of God. Now, by your grace and atoning sacrifice, I am free of the penalty and power of sin.

I am dead to sin and alive to you, Father, through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Now I live every moment in that freedom, living as your servant, Father. I honor everyone. I love the brotherhood. I fear you, Father, and I obey the legitimate authorities.

Hem Me In

Psalm 138 & 139; Colossians 1

Hallelujah, Father, I am the work of your hands. You fulfill your purpose for me, and you do not forsake the work of your hands.

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know my coming and going. You discern my thoughts. You hem me in, behind and before. You keep your hand on me. It is wonderful to know all that.

You formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, Father, and I know that very well.

Before I was formed, you had recorded every one of my days, even before they happened. Your thoughts are precious to me, Father, and your attention to detail is beyond my comprehension, but it is vastly encouraging.

Search me today, Lord, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. See if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Lead me, Holy Spirit, that today I will walk worthy of my Lord Jesus unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, my Father, and in communion with you.

Certainly

1 Corinthians 15; Romans 1 & 6

I am steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. I know that in you, Lord Jesus, my labor is not in vain. I know that you have been raised from the dead.

I know that, in your death, burial, and resurrection, death is swallowed up in victory. For the sting of death is the corruption of sin. But, thanks to you, Lord Jesus, by the grace of God, our father, we have victory over sin, and therefore, we have victory over death, hell, and the grave.

Your scripture, Father, declares my Lord Jesus to be your son, in power, according to the witness of your Holy Spirit, by his resurrection from the dead.

I am baptized with Christ Jesus, Father. I was baptized into his death and buried, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by your glory, Father, I also now walk in your newness of life. Since I am united with Jesus in a death like his, I shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

That Gives You Glory

John 10; Isaiah 60 & 61

Lord Jesus, you are the good shepherd, and you laid your life down for me. No one took your life from you but you laid it down of your own accord in obedience to our father.

Now, by your perfect sacrifice, you have become my everlasting light, and your father, my God and Father, has become my glory.

My days of mourning have ended. Now, by your grace and decree, I am the righteousness of God, and I possess your kingdom forever. I am glorified in you, Lord Jesus.

The Spirit of God is upon you, Lord Jesus, and our father has anointed you to bring good news to the poor. He has sent you to bind up the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captive. You proclaim the timing of God’s favor and the sure promise of the Father’s vengeance.

You, Lord Jesus, have given me a beautiful covering to replace ashes. You have anointed me with gladness and covered me with a garment of praise. Now by your grace and your indwelling spirit, I am an oak of your righteousness and a planting that gives you glory.

Life for Me

Isaiah 54; John 3:6; Galatians 2:20

Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that, with great compassion, you have gathered me back to you. With everlasting love, you have compassion on me, my Lord and my Redeemer. Your steadfast love will never leave me, and your covenant of peace shall not be removed.

In righteousness, by your grace and mercy, I am established, far from oppression and fear. No weapon fashioned against me shall succeed, and my words shall be your very words of truth and life, Father.

My heritage is now from you, Father, for I have been born again by your spirit. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. I am vindicated by your decree, Father, because this life that I now live, I live by faith in Jesus Christ, your son, who loves me and gave his life for me.

All and In All

Isaiah 53 & 54; Colossians 3:11

Lord God, it was your will to offer up Jesus as an offering for my guilt. It was your will to crush him. Out of his anguish, he saw your salvation, and he was satisfied. He knew many would be accounted righteous because he had borne their iniquities.

I like a sheep had gone astray. I had turned to my own way, yet you, Father, laid my iniquities on Jesus, your Messiah.

Surely he bore my griefs and carried my sorrow; upon him was the chastisement that brought me peace, and by his wounds, I was healed and reconciled to you, Father.

Now, by your grace, Father, and by Jesus’s perfect propitiation, I am not ashamed. I am not fearful or confounded. The shame of my youth is covered and redeemed.

Now, Father, I am of you and from you. You, the Holy One of Israel, are my redeemer. You are the God of the whole earth, and you are my all and in all.

Show the Earth

Isaiah 51; 1 Corinthians 6; Isaiah 52

You are my Lord, oh God. You are the one who comforts me. You are my God. You put your words in my mouth, and you cover me in the shadow of your hand. You have claimed me as your person.

You have bought me with a price. I belong to you. I am no longer my own. I am redeemed, but not by money.

I was lost and in bondage to the world, but then, Father, you brought me the good news. How beautiful that was. You published your peace to me. You showed me your salvation.

You reign, oh God. I see that, and I lift up my voice to sing for joy and worship to you. You comfort me, and you redeem me. You bare your arm and show your strength.

I am encouraged and comforted for you redeem and keep me, and you show the earth your salvation and your justice.
