A Shout, the Voice, and the Trumpet

1 Thessalonians 4 & 3; Colossians 2; 1 Thessalonians 4

Thank you, Father, that your will is my sanctification. By your grace through faith, you establish my heart blameless in holiness before you. This is not because of my works, but is purely a gift from you, through Christ, my Lord.

Your word teaches me, and your Holy Spirit leads me so that I know how to possess my own vessel in sanctification and honor and no longer in the passion of lust. I am fair and honest in my dealings. I am called to holiness, and I enjoy living in holiness and gentleness.

I aspire to lead a quiet life and to mind my own business and to do the work you have given me to do with excellence. I walk properly with all who are around me, and I lack nothing.

For I know, Father, you have taken care of the future. I know Jesus died and rose again, and that he will bring with him, when he returns, all those who are yours.

Jesus himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise together with those living in Christ. We will all meet in the air, and so shall we always be with the Lord.

By Your Choice

Colossians 3; Galatians 2; Colossians 3

Hallelujah. I have been raised with Christ. I no longer live but Christ lives in me. Now by your grace, Father, I see that I am elected by you, and by your choice, I am holy and beloved.

I put off the old man with his sinful deeds, and I put on the new man who is renewed in the knowledge of you, Father, and who is conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, and who is filled and led by the Holy Spirit of God. Now I am all Christ, and Christ is all of me.

Now the peace of God rules in my heart, and I am thankful. The word of Christ dwells in me richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing me in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. I sing with grace in my heart to you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Today whatever I do in word or deed, I do all in your name, Lord Jesus. I give thanks to you, Father, through him. And whatever I do, I do it heartily as unto you, Lord, and not to men. I know the reward of the inheritance of God, for I serve the Lord Christ.

Delivered and Conveyed

Colossians 2; 2 Corinthians 4; Colossians 2

Father, by your grace and mercy, I am attaining to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding of you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am coming to a knowledge of your mystery, Father. In you are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

In faith, I am learning not to look at the things which are seen, but to pay attention to the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

In Christ, I have been circumcised in a circumcision that is not seen and not made with hands. I am circumcised in Christ and by Christ. I put off the body of sin of the flesh. I am buried with Christ in baptism and raised with him to faith in the perfect working of God, my father.

Now I am alive in Christ. You, Lord Jesus, have taken the accusations against me away and nailed them to your cross. You have disarmed the principalities and powers that were against me. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of God. Hallelujah

God, Creator,Sustainer, Lord, and Reconciler

Colossians 1

Thank you, Father, that by your grace and in accordance with your predetermined will, you delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the son of your love in whom I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus, your son and your Messiah, and my Savior, is the very image of you, Father. He is the creator of all things visible and invisible. All things were created through him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him, all things are sustained. He is the head of his body, the church. He is the first born from the dead. In all things, he is preeminent. He is Lord of all.

In Christ Jesus, all the fullness of God dwells, so that by his perfect sacrifice and holy life, I am reconciled to you, Father. I have peace and communion with you, Father, through the blood of my Lord Jesus’ cross.

That In Every Circumstance

Philippians 4 & 2

Thank you, Father, that you supply all my need according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I rejoice in you, Lord, always, and again I say I rejoice.

Now transformed by Christ’s word and spirit, I am gentle, and you, Lord, fill me and lead me.

I am anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, I make my request known to you, Father, and your sweet, sure peace, which surpasses understanding, guards my heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

Today I keep my eyes on and my ears tuned to things that are true and noble, just and pure, and lovely and good. I look for things to praise you for, Father, and to praise others for.

I meditate on your word, Father, and on the lives and teachings and examples of the witnesses that you have put in my life that in every circumstance I would live and do and think with the mind and Spirit of Christ Jesus.

His Purchased Possession

Acts 26; Ephesians 1

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you have called me. You have shone your light through your word into my life. You have opened my eyes and turned me from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, our father. Through you, I have received forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in you, Lord Jesus.

I trusted in you after I heard your word, the gospel of my salvation. I believed your word and put my faith in you. I was sealed with your Holy Spirit who is the guarantee of my inheritance until the time God, our father, determines to redeem all his possession who were purchased with your blood.

For, Lord, I am redeemed through your blood and forgiven of my sins by your sacrifice according to the riches of your grace which you have abounded to me in all wisdom and prudence.

Father, by your grace, through faith in Christ, I have obtained your inheritance being predestined according to your purpose. You, Father, are Almighty God, and you work all things according to the council of your will so that by my redemption and salvation, you would be glorified.

Now and Forever

John 15; Romans 12; Ephesians 5 & 4

Thank you, Lord, that by your grace, you have chosen me and called me to you. By your word and your indwelling spirit, my mind is renewed, and I am transformed. Today I walk in your good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Today I am filled with you, Holy Spirit. I speak and commune in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. I sing and make melody in my heart to you, Lord. I give thanks always for all things to you, Father, my God and my Creator, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, you put ministers into my life to equip me for the ministry you had for me. You have edified me. I have come to a unity of faith and of the knowledge of your son, my Lord Jesus and my Savior. I am mature and full of Christ Jesus.

I am no longer a child tossed to and fro and carried about by wrong doctrine or the trickery of man. Instead, I speak the truth in love, and I grow up into all the things of Christ, the head of the body, his church. I am joined into that body and knit together with other believers as we grow and edify one another now and forever.

To All Fullness

Ephesians 3

I bow my knee to you, Father, the father of my Lord Jesus Christ. You do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, by your Holy Spirit working in me. To you, Father, be glory in your church by Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.

I am called a Christian because you sent Christ to be my savior, and because you gave me, by your grace, the faith to believe.

Now we commune together day by day, and you grant me, according to the riches of your glory, to be strengthened with might, by your spirit, in my inner man. Christ dwells in my heart through faith.

I am rooted and grounded in love, and I begin to comprehend the love Christ has for me which passes knowledge. Through your word and your communion with me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I am able, in increasing degree, to see the width and length and depth and height of your love for me and for your people and for your creation. Through that knowledge and illumination, I am filled with you, Father, to all fullness.

My Place

Ephesians 3

Father, thank you that from your word and from your indwelling Holy Spirit, I’m coming to some knowledge and understanding of the mystery of Christ and of my place in it. It is revealed by the apostles and prophets that Gentiles, including me, are included in your salvation and are fellow heirs, members of Christ’s body, the church, and partakers of all your promises, Father, in Christ through the gospel.

Now I see the unsearchable riches that are mine in Christ. Now I see your answer to all questions is to place Christ and your glory in each person who is yours.

This indwelling communion was hidden to earlier ages but now is revealed to all who are yours that your manifold wisdom can be known to the church and to all the principalities and powers in heavenly places. The whole creation is coming to know your eternal purposes which you have accomplished in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

In Christ, I have boldness and confident communion through faith. I stay strong and do not lose heart as I live in the glory of Christ in me.

Through You, Holy Spirit

Ephesians 2

Once I was far from you, Father, without Christ and without hope. But by grace and faith, given to me by you, Father, I was saved.

Now I am your special work, created in Christ Jesus for good works which you, Father, prepared beforehand that I would walk in. Once I was far off but now, I have been brought near to you, Father God, by the blood of Christ.

You, Lord Jesus, are my peace, and you have made all God’s people, whether Jew or Gentile, one. In effect, you have created in yourself one new man and reconciled all of us back to God in one body, through your life, sacrifice, and resurrection.

Now through you, Lord Jesus, we have access by one Spirit to God, our Father. Now I am no longer a stranger to God, but now, I am a fellow citizen with the saints and a member of the household of God.

My knowledge of and faith in these things is based on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Lord Jesus, you yourself are the chief cornerstone in whom the whole assured salvation is fitted together and grows into a holy temple.

I also have been built into that temple to be part of a dwelling place of God through you, Holy Spirit.
