Sufficient

2 Corinthians 12 & 13; Romans 8; John 10; 1 Peter 5

Hallelujah, Father, your grace is sufficient for me, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Christ and his power dwell in me.

So, I live with you, Lord Jesus, by the power of God, our father.

I examine myself, and I know I have faith. Sometimes it is strong and sometimes not as strong, but I know it is there, so I know I am saved, and I know that you, Lord Jesus, are in me.

In Christ, I am complete. I am comforted, and I have the mind of Christ. I live in peace. You, Father, the God of Love and Peace, are with me and for me.

Today, I thank you, Father, for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and for your divine love, and for the communion of the Holy Spirit. Nothing and no one can separate me from your person and presence, Father, and nothing can pluck me from your hand.

It is settled. I am perfected, established, strengthened, and settled with you, Father, forever.

I Wrestle

2 Corinthians 7

I wrestle with the tests and temptations of the outside world, Lord. I sometimes seem to slide back towards the flesh and it’s filth, but, hallelujah, these moments quickly lead me to godly sorrow and repentance. So, I regret the weakness, but I rejoice in the quick repentance and sensitive recognition of the temptation.

Godly sorrow produces a determination not to become enslaved again to sin. It produces a sincere humility and a realization of the potential for hypocrisy in my fleshy mind, and therefore, I become stronger in my determination to draw close to you, Father, and to be led in every decision by you, Holy Spirit.

Therefore, I am filled with comfort even in these temptations because I see you working in me to convict me of my human weaknesses, and I see my total dependence on your presence in me.

But also, in that dependence, I am guaranteed forgiveness and victory over sin. You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are faithful and sovereign to cleanse me from all filthiness of the flesh and to perfect me in holiness and in the fear of you. Thank you.

Glory to Glory

2 Corinthians 5 & 3

Thank you, Father, that by your grace and call, I am in Christ Jesus. Through faith in Jesus as your Messiah and my Lord, I have been born again. I am a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. Now everything about me is of you, Father.

The veil has been taken from my eyes, and I see your unseen things, Father, the unseen things that are eternal. I don’t, by any means, understand it all, but I see enough to have faith.

I know that you are my heavenly father, and that you are the Almighty, Sovereign Spirit. I know that where you are there is liberty and divine glory. I know that your Holy Spirit dwells in me now, and I behold and commune with you through him.

I am transformed into the image of the Lord Jesus, day by day, decision by decision, thought by thought. I am led by your spirit, Father, and we move from glory to glory, together.

All In All

1 Corinthians 15

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your grace and for the gift of faith. I have heard your gospel, and I believe it and receive it, and I’m saved. I stand in your gospel and hold fast to your word.

You died for my sins according to your scripture, and you were buried, and you rose again on the third day. You were seen raised from the dead by the apostles and by hundreds of others.

I came along a lot later, but you moved my heart to convict me of sin and to believe in your salvation. I am not worthy of your love, but you chose me and called me to you. So, by your grace, I believed and was saved and now, I am yours, and I seek to be filled with your person and led by you. I labor to be an instrument in your hands and to be useful in your kingdom.

You reign, Lord Jesus, and you will put all enemies under your feet. The last enemy you will destroy is death. When you have put all things under you, you will put all things under God, our father, that the Father may be all in all.

Peace and Order

1 Corinthians 14

Thank you, Father, that in your love you never fail, and your love in me never fails. For now, I only see and know some of your majesty. Someday, when your perfection is completed, I will know more, and the partial understanding will be done away with.

For now, I see you, Lord, dimly as in a mirror, but someday I will see you face to face. Then we will know each other person to person. So for now, you, Holy Spirit, fill me with understanding and faith and love and hope. I seek to be mature in the things you show me and tell me.

I pursue your divine love and the comfort and encouragement that is in it. I desire spiritual gifts that I may be prepared at all times to speak to others edification and exhortation and comfort.

I pray with you, Spirit, and I pray with understanding. I sing with you, Spirit, and I sing with understanding. By your grace and gift, Father, I listen, I commune, I sing, and I teach in peace and order. For you, Father, are the God of Peace and Order.

Settled

1 Corinthians 13; Peter 5

Father, thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit. I desire to be filled and led and used by you, Holy Spirit. Your dwelling in me is glorious and encouraging.

No matter how “gifted” I am today, unless my character is yours, Lord, I am just a make believe and a noisy cymbal.

So, today, Lord, by your word and indwelling Spirit, I have my eyes on Jesus, and I am living in my new man. I know I am loved by you with an unconditional, supernatural, sovereign, saving love, and that love fills and converts me so that I can love others.

I am patient and kind. I do not envy or lift up myself. I am not puffed up. I do not have to get my way. I am not easily provoked. I see God in others, and I find truth. I do not entertain evil thoughts or allow iniquity.

I rejoice in the truth. I bear all things. I believe all things. I hope all things, and I endure all things. For you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, own me, and commune with me, and love me. You, Holy Spirit, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle me.

In One By One

1 Corinthians 12

Father, there is perfect unity through your Spirit. We are all baptized into one body by one Spirit. All true believers have been made to drink into one Spirit.

Now there is much diversity in gifts, but still the same Spirit, and there are differences of ministry, but the same Lord, and it is you, Father, the one God, who works all in all.

You give the manifestation of your Spirit for the profit of all people who are yours. You distribute to each person individually as you will, and then you set each person, as a member, into your body, the church, as it pleases you. So there are many members, yet one body.

All the members of the body are necessary, even those that seem weaker. There should be no schism in the body, but members should care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer. If one member is honored, all are honored and rejoice in it. We are each individual members of one body which is Christ Jesus.

Faithful and Wise; Pleasing to You

Hebrews 12; Luke 12

Good morning, Holy Spirit. Fill me and lead me today that my faith would be alive and strong. Keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. See that there is no hypocrisy in me, and that I properly fear the Father who holds life and eternity in his hand, and who is the only legitimate object of fear.

Thank you, Father, that you value me. You know the things I need, and you clothe me and feed me. So, I am not anxious about my physical needs. I concentrate on seeking you and your kingdom, Father.

I do not fear about my future or my usefulness to you, because it is your pleasure to give me your kingdom. I have done nothing to earn that provision for all that I have has come as a gift from you. But, because of your grace, gift, and promises, I wish to be a good steward, who is generous towards the brethren, and rich towards you, Father.

I gird up my waist and follow the lead of your Spirit, and I invest my treasure in your kingdom. I watch for you and your will everyday, in every decision. My desire, Lord, is to be a faithful and wise steward of your kingdom and of your salvation. I long to be pleasing to you.

Dwells, Fills, Leads, Converts, and Renews

Luke 11

Lord Jesus, your word tells me to be ceaselessly in prayer and to be instant in prayer. You tell me to persist in prayer. You tell me to ask and it will be given, and to seek and I will find, and to knock and it will be opened. Yet in many instances, I don’t seem to “get” what I “prayed” for.

But, I see in your word that the real gift, the real answered prayer, is the gift of God the Spirit who literally dwells in me. When I have your Spirit dwelling in me and leading me, then I ask for the right things, and I get answers to the things I seek to know, and a way is open to me to get my character conformed to you, Lord Jesus.

So, Father, fill me today with your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, and Holy Spirit take charge of my life in every way. Today the glory of Almighty God dwells in me, and fills me, and leads me, and converts me, and renews my mind.

My life in Christ is perfectly simple and unaffected by the confusion of the world.

There is; There is; There is

Luke 11; 1 Corinthians 1; Philippians 4; John 15; Matthew 11

Good morning, Father. Through Christ Jesus, I have come to know you, and I hallow your name. Your kingdom has come on this earth through Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection, and through the pouring out of your Holy Spirit, and by the establishment of your body on earth, your church.

Each day you give me the bread I need for life, not just the physical bread for my body, but more importantly, you give me living bread from heaven through the words of Jesus, your Holy Scripture.

I have forgiven others for any offense in my life in the same way you have forgiven me. I follow your word, and I am led by your Holy Spirit. I ignore and avoid any temptation to sin.

I persist in communion with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, because, there is wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification; there is peace that passes understanding; there is joy and rest for my soul.
