According to Your Riches

Galatians 4; Isaiah 26; Galatians 4; 1 John 4

I rejoice in you, Lord, and in your salvation. I know you and your word, Father, so I do not worry, instead I pray.

I make my request known to you, and I know you hear me. You fill me and commune with me, and I have peace, because you are peace. In your presence is perfect peace. You guard my heart and mind as I dwell with Jesus.

Now your peace does not mean that I get everything I want. Sometimes I am abased, and I do not understand the suffering. But, by your word and your Holy Spirit, I have learned to be content.

I can have peace and joy even in the hard times. I can do all these things because you, Lord Jesus, strengthen me, and you temper me so that I am prepared for any spiritual fight.

You supply everything I need, according to your riches in glory, in Christ Jesus. I am able because he who dwells in me is perfectly able.

Learned and Received and Heard and Seen

Philippians 3 & 4

I rejoice always. My mind is set on heavenly things, Father, for by your grace, my citizenship is in heaven. I eagerly await my savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform my lowly body that it may be conformed to his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject all things to himself.

Therefore, I rejoice. I am gentle, Lord, because I know you are with me and dwell in me. I am not anxious about anything, instead I commune with you. I am thankful in all situations, and I make my request known to you.

I know you hear me and love me with a steadfast love. Your peace, Lord Jesus, which surpasses understanding, guards my heart and my mind. I do the things that I have learned and received and heard and seen from your word, Lord, and you, the God of Peace, are with me. You lead me in all things, and you strengthen me.

Peace, Sure Hope, and Joy

Philippians 3

Father, today I rejoice in Christ Jesus and in the salvation I have because of his finished work. My salvation is a gift from you, through faith in Christ as your Messiah. I did not “earn” my salvation. I put no confidence in my fleshy actions to earn your love and your gift of salvation.

I do not rely on any righteousness I might have, instead I hold to the righteousness which is from you, Father, through faith in Christ. I know him and the power of his resurrection, and I have fellowship with my Lord Jesus in the tribulation and suffering that comes in this life in the flesh.

I am conformed to you, Lord Jesus, by dying each day to the carnal lusts and being raised with you each day in spirit and in truth.

Today, I forget those things that are behind, and I reach forward to those things which are ahead. Today, I live in your call on my life, Lord, in perfect harmony and communion with you. I am led by your Holy Spirit and filled with peace, sure hope, and joy.

Valuable and Praiseworthy

Philippians 1 & 2

Father, I am confident that you are doing your transforming work in me and that you are faithful to complete what you have begun. By your grace, I come to know your love more and more, and thereby, I am able to love others sincerely. I’m filled with the fruits of righteousness, by Christ Jesus, to your glory and praise, Father.

Now, I live and rejoice in your salvation, Father. I pay attention to your gospel with fear and seriousness. Through your Holy Spirit, you work my will and my actions to do your good pleasure. I am more and more obedient and useful in your hands, Father, and I rejoice in that.

I am your child, Father, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. By your spirit indwelling me, I shine like a light in this world. I hold fast to your word of life. I rejoice because Christ is Lord and his day is coming, and all things for me and for all who are yours will prove to be valuable and praiseworthy.

Perfect Hope and Peace

Galatians 3; Romans 12; Galatians 3 & 4

Thank you, Father, for the unsearchable riches of Christ. His power works in me through your presence, Holy Spirit. You do, with me and in me and for me, exceedingly abundantly beyond all I can ask or think.

You renew my mind, and I am transformed. I am free from the mold of this world, and I begin to comprehend how great and wide and deep is the love you have for me, Father.

Christ and all that he is, dwells in my heart through faith, and I am rooted and grounded now and forever in divine love. Now, I know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, and I am filled with all the fullness of you, Father, all the fullness and completeness of Almighty, Eternal God.

So, today, Father, I walk with you. I am led by you, in humility and gentleness, with patience and love for your brethren. Now I live every moment, forever, in perfect hope and peace.

Useful to You

Ephesians 1 & 2

I praise you and honor you, Father, for the exceeding greatness of your power towards me, and for my redemption and sanctification. The same mighty power that works in me now worked in Christ Jesus when you raised him from the dead and seated him at your right hand in the heavenlies.

Now, by that same power and purpose, Christ Jesus is seated far above all principality and power and might and domains and every name that is named, and I am securely placed in Christ.

So, I, who was dead in trespasses and sins, am now made alive in Christ. The life in me now is your divine, eternal life, Father. Thank you for your rich mercy and amazing grace, whereby you called me, granted me repentance and faith, and saved me through that faith.

Now you have raised me up together with Christ. By your grace, through faith, I am saved. That is not by my works, so I have no reason to boast in myself, but now, hallelujah, I am yours, Father.

I am your workmanship. You created me in Christ for good works that you ordained beforehand I would walk in. I am useful to you in your hands.

Riches and Glory of Being

Ephesians 1

Father, your grace is glorious. Thank you that, for your own reasons, you chose me to love. You determined, before the foundation of the world, that I would be holy and blameless before you, redeemed from and forgiven of my sins through Christ Jesus’s blood according to the riches of your grace which abounded to me.

You predestined me to be your child by adoption through the redeeming grace of Jesus and according to your good pleasure. Now, purely by grace, I’m accepted in the beloved. I am a child of God.

I am gathered together with all who are yours in Christ. In Christ, I have obtained an inheritance

You, Father, predestined me for all this new, eternal life according to your purposes. You worked out all things in my life and in your kingdom according to the council of your will. And so, today I live in the blessed hope of your calling and in the riches of the glory of being your inheritance.

By Whom

Galatians 5 & 6

So, by faith working through love, I have liberty from trying to earn my salvation. Instead, I stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has set me free.

I belong to Jesus, and I recognize that I am saved by the finished work of my Lord Jesus. I now live in the Spirit of God, and I am quickened and led by the Spirit.

God’s spirit dwells in me and renews my mind. I am transformed from a person sold to sin to a person belonging to you, Father.

Now I walk in your spirit and reap the fruit of your spirit. Love, joy, and peace fill my heart now, Father. Patience, gentleness, and goodness fill my days. I have a life filled with faith, meekness, and temperance.

All this provision is not by my good works or smarts, instead it is mine because of the perfect life and atoning sacrifice of my Lord Jesus, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the world.

True Salvation

Galatians 5 & 6

Father, I see that I become estranged from faith in Christ if I begin to try to “be saved by my good works” or by keeping the details of some group’s religious laws. For in Christ Jesus, trying to “earn” your kingdom through good works of my flesh avails nothing.

What is important to you in your provision of salvation is becoming a new creation. True salvation comes to each of us who is yours, Father, by being born from above.

Your true salvation is a sovereign, supernatural action of your Holy Spirit moving in each of the people of your choice and changing their heart. It is Christ in me by the actual presence of your person through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Now there are two persons in me, my old nature and the new nature who is Christ Jesus. I now know to sow to the new nature and to reckon the old fleshy nature dead. As I do that, my life is transformed from selfish and stubborn to loving and faith filled.

According to Your Promise

Galatians 3

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you have redeemed me from the curse of the law by bearing the curse for me. Now the blessing of Abraham has come upon me through you, Lord.

God, our father, made a covenant with Abraham and his seed, not many seeds, but one seed, and that seed is you, Christ Jesus. By being in Christ, I am in that covenant and nothing can annul that because it was given and is implemented by God, our father, through his promise and oath.

So, I believe you, Father, and that is counted to me as righteousness, and I am saved by faith in Jesus as your Messiah, and I receive the indwelling presence and living power of your Holy Spirit, by this faith.

Your law tutors me as to the right and wrong and shows me my need for a savior. But now that faith has come, I no longer need the tutor. For now, I am your son, Father, through faith in Christ Jesus.

I have put on Christ, and you, Lord Jesus, have fitted me with your presence. I belong to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, according to your promise.
