No Longer

Romans 5&6

Sin certainly seems to abound all around me. The “wise” are calling it love and freedom and choice, but if your word, oh Lord, is the standard, then it is sin. I am still filled with hope because I know that where sin abounds, grace abounds much more.

By your grace and communion, Lord, I have died to sin, and I no longer live in it. When I was baptized into Christ Jesus, I was baptized into his death.

I was buried with you, Lord Jesus, into your death, and just as you were raised from the dead, by the glory of God, our father, even so I walk in the newness of life.

I have been united together with you, Lord, in the likeness of your death. Certainly I shall also be united with you in the likeness of your resurrection.

The Rest of My Time

1 Peter 3&4

Hallelujah, Father. Your eyes are upon me, and your ears are open to my prayers. I love the life you have given me, and I rejoice in the good of each day that you give me. Today I seek your peace and presence. I pursue perfect communion with you.

I sanctify the Lord Jesus in my heart. I meditate on the reasons for the living hope that I have in you, Lord Jesus.

You, Lord, suffered for my sins when I was unjust so that you could bring me to God. I, in you, was put to death in the flesh and made alive by you, Holy Spirit.

Now, by your grace and your dwelling person, I have died to the flesh and ceased from sin. I no longer live the rest of my time in the lusts of men. Instead, I live all my time in the will of God, my father. I live according to God by the Holy Spirit.

Stand In The Grace

Romans 4&5; Colossians 1; Romans 5

Lord Jesus, I know that you were delivered up for my offenses, and you were raised for my justification. Therefore, having been justified by your life and obedience, Lord Jesus, I have peace with God, our father.

Now, by faith, I stand, day by day, moment by moment, in the grace of my Almighty, sovereign, God of heaven and earth. I rejoice in the hope of the glory of Christ now dwelling in me, by the Holy Spirit.

With faith, and hope, I look for your person and communion, Lord Jesus, in all the tribulation of this life, because I know that with you as my Lord, tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope.

This hope grows and shines within me because the love of God is poured out in my heart by the Holy Spirit, who has filled and birthed me again from above.

In Mercy

John 6; Romans 4

Lord Jesus, I know you are the Messiah. The one sent by God, our father, to deliver his salvation. You are the bread of life. I have come to you, Lord, and now I shall never again hunger. I believe in you, Lord, and I shall never thirst.

I see, Lord Jesus, that you are the Son of God, and I believe in you. I have everlasting life, and I know that you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, will raise me up at the last day.

I believe you, Father. I believe your word, your gospel, your only begotten son, and this is counted to me for righteousness. I did not earn this justification, rather it is given to me, by your grace, Father, through faith in Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord of my life.

I am blessed because my lawless deeds have been forgiven, my sins have been atoned for, and you, Father, in mercy, do not impute my sins upon me.

Available

Romans 3

Thank you, Father, for the revelation of your righteousness, which comes, not from the law, but through faith in Jesus, your Christ. This justification is available to all, and on all, who believe.

Everyone needs your grace because all have sinned and fallen short of your glory. Therefore, our only hope for justification, forgiveness, and reconciliation, comes by your grace, through faith in Jesus as your Messiah and our Savior.

Your redemption for all who are yours is in Christ Jesus. You, Father, set him forth as a propitiation, by his blood, through faith, to show your righteousness because you are merciful and patient with all who are yours.

You passed over our sins to provide a way, in this present time, that we could come before you in your righteousness. Through faith in Christ Jesus, you are just, and you are the justifier.

Tender and excited

Acts 28; Romans 1; John 1&14

Holy Spirit, fill me today. See that I hear your word and that I understand it. Let me see the Father’s salvation and perceive it. My heart is tender to you, Lord, and excited to commune with you. My ears hear you, your encouragement and your correction.

My eyes are open, and I see you active and faithful in every detail of my life. My heart is tuned perfectly to you, and you have healed me.

I love your gospel, Lord, and I am proud of it, because it is your power to salvation to everyone who believes. Your righteousness is revealed through your gospel, Lord.

Now I know that I live by faith.

Faith that Jesus is your Messiah, and that you raised him from the dead, and that now he is my Lord and Savior, my deliverer and friend. Christ Jesus is life and light in me forever!

Empowered and Encouraged

Acts 2; Romans 15

Father, I know you have made Jesus both Lord and Christ. You raised him from the dead and exalted him, Lord and Savior, and now he is seated at your right hand. Now he pours your Holy Spirit out, from you, into my heart with love.

I have seen the light of the Lord and believe he is your Christ. He has granted me repentance and called me into your glorious kingdom.

By your grace, and Jesus’ sacrifice, my sins are forgiven, and I am in Christ, and Christ is in me. I am saved from this perverse and lost world.

My heart rejoices, and my tongue is glad. My flesh rests in hope because you, Father, the God of Hope, fill me with joy and peace through faith. Now, empowered and encouraged, by the presence and person of your Holy Spirit, I abound in hope.

Glad of That

1 Chronicles 29; Ephesians 2&1; 1 Corinthians 6

Bless you, Lord God, my father, forever and ever.

You and all that is yours is greatness. You are all powerful and glorious. All of heaven and earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, oh Lord, and you are exalted as head overall.

Riches and honor come from you, and you reign overall. In your hand is power and might. You make your people great, and you give strength to all of us.

Therefore, Father, I abound in thanksgiving to you. I praise your glorious name. Even my will and strength to praise you comes from you, for all things good come from you to me through your word and your Holy Spirit.

For now, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, I have been born from above. I am saved. I am included in Christ and sealed by your Holy Spirit until your day of redemption. I belong to you, Father, and I am glad of that.

Everlasting Joy

Luke 4; Isaiah 61

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that your spirit is upon me and dwells in me. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for your living communion with me. You fill me, and you lead me.

You anoint me, and I hear your gospel, and I believe it, and I understand it. Your word has become life, eternal life, in me.

You comfort me, and you heal my broken heart. I was captive to lust and selfishness, and you have proclaimed liberty to me.

I was blind to your fullness and joy, but you opened my eyes, and now, I have my sight. I was bogged down with regret and self centered impatience, and now, you have set me free from my past and from myself.

You show me our father’s perfect timing and faithfulness, and I am content.

I rejoice in you, Lord. My soul is joyful in you, my God. You have clothed me with the garments of salvation. You have covered me with the robe of righteousness. By your grace, everlasting joy is mine. Praise you and thank you.

Use Me

Luke 1; John 1; Romans; Ephesians 2; Luke 1

Bless you, Lord God. You dwell in and among each of your people. You have redeemed us. You raised up Jesus, the man of our salvation.

He is your word, and he spoke your word. He took on flesh and dwelt among us. He lived a life without sin and became the righteousness of God for me. He offered his life upon the cross as a full sacrifice and payment for all my sins.

Now, by your grace, Father, through faith in Christ’s complete and completed work, I am saved. I am saved from the hands of your enemies, Lord, and from those who hate you and your truth.

You are merciful to me, Lord, and you keep your covenant perfectly and in love.

I am delivered from bondage to sin and death so that I can serve you without fear. Now I live in holiness and righteousness before you all the days of my life.

Now I am your child. I go with you to give the word of salvation to your people. I reflect your light to those who sit in darkness and under the shadow of death. You use me to guide them to the way of peace.
