Now and Now

2 Corinthians 6&7

Father, with Isaiah you foretold me that an acceptable time would come; that a day would come for salvation. For me, now is the accepted time, and now is the day of salvation.

By your grace and the gift of your Holy Spirit, I am your temple. You dwell in me, and you walk with me. You are my God, and I am your person.

Therefore, I have come out from among those who will not believe, those who live to defy you, Father. I am now separate from them.

I do not touch what is unclean. I am your child, filled with your nature. You are my father.

I live in your promises, and I cleanse myself of all filthiness of flesh and spirit. I am perfected in holiness in a reverent fear and love of you, Father.

Revive

2 Corinthians 4; Romans 12; Ephesians 2; 1 Peter 5

I do not look at the things that are seen in this life, but at the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the unseen things are eternal.

Therefore, I do not lose heart, even though outwardly, I am perishing, because I know, inwardly, you are renewing me day by day. You, Father, through your Holy Spirit, are renewing my mind and transforming me every moment of every day.

The prince of the power of the air has deceived many in our country, and they walk in sin and foolishness according to the course of this world. They are truly sons of disobedience.

I was once among them, but you, Father, in your mercy and love, even while I was dead in trespasses, made me alive together with Christ.

So I do not lose hope. I humble myself under your mighty hand, Father, and I pray for my country. I cast these cares on you for I know you care for me and for all who are yours.

Revive us and revive this country. Perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle our country into one nation under you as Almighty God.

Manifested

2 Corinthians 3&4

Father, your gospel is veiled to those who are perishing. Their minds are blinded by the god of this age. They do not believe.

The veil is taken away in Christ. By your grace and call, I have turned to the Lord Jesus, and the veil is taken away. Now the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of you, Father, shines in me.

I behold as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, and I am transformed into the same image from glory to glory, by your Holy Spirit.

You give me the light of the knowledge of your very presence in me by the gift of your Holy Spirit. I have your spirit filling me like a treasure in a clay jar. It is obvious to me that this living, transforming power comes from you, Father, and not from me. The very life of Jesus is manifested in my mortal flesh.

Daily Sufficient

2 Corinthians 1,2, & 3

Thank you, Almighty, loving, and sovereign God, that you establish us together with each other in Christ, and you anoint us and seal us with your Holy Spirit as a guarantee. We are fellow workers who work with joy and stand by faith.

By your grace and led by your spirit, Father, we reaffirm our love for one another. We thank you, Lord, that you always lead us in triumph in Christ.

Through us, you diffuse the fragrance of the knowledge of you to all who are around us. We are, through you, Lord, the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved, and among those who are perishing.

We are epistles of Christ. You have ministered salvation to each of us, Lord, and written your eternal gospel on our heart by your living spirit.

Our sufficiency is from you, Father. You make us daily sufficient as ministers of your new covenant, your new life.

Son of Light

John 12, 14, &12

Hallelujah, I do not fear because you, my king, Lord Jesus, have come. Like a grain of wheat, you have gone into the ground and died, but now, you have risen and brought forth much fruit and new everlasting life.

I offer up my life in this temporary world, and you make my life eternal. With joy and endurance, I serve you, and I follow you. You and our father love me and make your abode with me.

You came to serve and honor the Father. By your word, this world will be judged, and the ruler of this world will be cast out. You, Lord Jesus, are lifted up from the earth, and all those people who are yours are drawn to you.

Now, by your grace and dwelling spirit, I walk in the light. I have the light. I believe in the light. I am a son of light.

With Joy

Galatians 6; Ephesians 2; 1 Corinthians 6

I am not deceived, Father. I know that you are not mocked. Whatever I sow is what I reap. When I sowed to the flesh, I reaped corruption. Now I sow to the spirit, and I harvest eternal life.

I enjoy living in your good presence, Holy Spirit. I am energized by your communion and your living word. With my eyes on you, I do not lose heart.

I was lost, but now, by grace through faith, I am saved from sin. I have been washed. I am sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus by your indwelling, sovereign presence, Holy Spirit.

Now, my body is a member of Christ. I am joined to you, Lord Jesus, and one spirit with you. My body is your temple, Holy Spirit. You dwell in me as a gift from God, my father.

I am not my own, for I have been bought at a price. Therefore, with joy, I glorify you, Father, in my body, and in my spirit, which are both yours.

All and All

1 Corinthians 6&3

Hallelujah, I am not my own for you, Lord, have bought me at a price. I belong to you, Lord Jesus. I glorify you in my body and in my spirit because I belong to God.

I have had many people minister into my life. Some have planted and some have watered, but it is always you, Father, who gives the life and the increase.

Now I move along, led by your spirit, in the ministry that you have given me with other fellow workers. Guide us and guard us that we will always be accurate in your spirit, Father, and never carnal.

See that in all I do I am led by your spirit; that it is you doing it through me and not me in my flesh. See that I build on your foundation with gold, silver, and priceless truth so that the work you use me for will endure

By your grace and your mysterious plan, I am your temple, Father, and your Holy Spirit dwells in me. Where you are is glory and glorious.

In knowledge and communion with you, all things present and all things to come are mine, because I am Christ’s, and Christ is yours, Father.

Not In Vain

Ephesians 3; Philippians 2

Thank you, Father, that you, according to the riches of your glory, grant me to be strengthened with might, through your spirit, in my inner man; that Christ dwells in my heart through faith; that I, being rooted and grounded in your love, can comprehend with all the Saints, the width and length and depth and height; that I know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, and I am filled with all your fullness, Father.

You are pleased and able to do all this in me exceedingly, abundantly beyond all I could ask or think, according to your power and person, who works in me, both to will and to do your good pleasure.

I do all things without complaining and disputing. By your grace and transforming work, I am blameless and harmless, a child of yours, without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom your light shines in me and your word lives in me and gives eternal life to me. I rejoice in you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for now I know, through you, I have not run my race in vain.

Sure Hope

Luke 11; 1 Corinthians 2;Colossians 3; 1 Corinthians 1&2, Colossians 1; 1 Corinthians 2

Thank you, Father, for the gift of your Holy Spirit. I receive, with joy, the spirit who is from you. Through him, I know the things that have been freely given to me by you, Father.

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered the heart of man, the things which you, Father, have prepared for those who love you. You reveal them to me through your spirit.

Yes, you, Holy Spirit, search all things, yea, the deep things of God. All the sovereign, supernatural, eternal things of God are known to you, Holy Spirit, and you commune with me and lead me. You teach me, and enable me to compare spiritual things with spiritual. Through your presence with me, I know Jesus, the Christ, and him crucified.

Jesus is all and in all. He is wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption for me. In Christ, I know the glorious mystery of the Father, which is Christ dwelling in me. That is my hope of glory. By your grace and plan, Father, I have the mind of Christ in every situation.

True Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1; John 3:14

The message of the cross is the very power of God to those who believe. To those who are perishing the cross seems a foolishness. They fancy themselves as wise and are great disputers with your gospel, Father, but you make foolish the “wisdom” of this world.

In their “wisdom”, many people choose not to know you, and in fact, to deny you. So it pleased you, Father, to save those who believe through the “foolishness” of the message of your gospel.

Some people demand a sign, and others rely on their human understanding, but you, Father, give the world, Christ crucified, a stumbling block to those who want a sign and a foolishness to those who claim to be wise.

Yet those who claim to be wise are easily deceived. They begin to believe and espouse obvious foolishness. They are perverted in their morality and economics and courage. The weak things of the world put them to shame.

Christ Jesus is your wisdom, Father. Those who believe Christ’s glory live in glory. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. All, who come to Jesus, belong to you, Father, and live in true wisdom.
