To Do and To Be

Philippians 4&3

Thank you, Father, that, according to your riches and glory, you supply all I need to do the things and to be the man you desire. Thereby, I am able to do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Whether I abound or suffer need, I have learned to be content. My eyes are on the prize of your upward call in Christ Jesus, Father. I press on toward that goal. I forget those things that are behind, and I press toward that goal.

I press on into your salvation which is mine through the finished work of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. My citizenship is in heaven. I eagerly wait on the day of my Lord, when my lowly body will be transformed and conformed to his glorious body.

Therefore, I stand fast. I rejoice always in you, my Lord. You have converted me, and you are always at my hand.

My Mind and My Nature

Philippians 2

Thank you, Father, that I am filled with the gift of your indwelling Holy Spirit. My mind is renewed, and my nature is new. You, Holy Spirit, have my mind. I take on the position of a bond servant. I am humble and obedient. My tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life and that that is glorious.

I pay attention to my salvation. I take my relationship with you, Father, through your spirit, very seriously, and you work in me so that my will and my action serve you and please you.

I am your child, Father, born from above, by your sovereign will and grace, through faith in Jesus as your Messiah. In Christ, I walk, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. Indwelt with your presence, I shine like a light in the world, holding fast to your living word and rejoicing today in Christ, and rejoicing that there will be, when you decree, a day of Christ when all that is yours is made right and holy.

In Everyway

Philippians 1

Holy Spirit, take charge of me today that, in knowledge and all discernment, your love will abound in me, and I will live in the excellence of Christ Jesus. I am filled with the fruits of righteousness to the glory and praise of you, great God, my Heavenly Father.

I am confident in your faithfulness and your ways, Father. I know you have begun a good work in me, and I know you will complete that work right on into eternity with Christ Jesus.

Things happen in my life, and I know those circumstances further the gospel in me and testify to those around me, so that, in every way, in word or action, Christ Jesus is preached in and by my life.

Today, in Christ, my conduct is worthy of your gospel, Father. I stand fast in one spirit, with one mind, working together in faith, not fearful of the evil one or the foolishness of the lost. Their beliefs and resulting actions just prove perdition. Your truth testifies to me the power of your salvation.

In Every Situation

Ephesians 6

I know I am in a battle beyond my human strength. I battle against spiritual hosts of wickedness. You, Father, in your mercy and grace, give me spiritual armor, and I am able to withstand in the evil day and do all that you want me to do. I am strong in you, Lord Jesus, strong in the person of your might.

You, Holy Spirit, lead me now, and I know the truth in every situation. My heart is protected from my unrighteous past because now Christ is my righteousness. I move through life now step-by-step because I have your gospel, Father, to feed on and to share with others who hunger.

My thoughts have become your thoughts, Father, because I know you have saved me from sin and filled me with healing, deliverance, and freedom from my flesh.

Now, when attacks of accusation and regret come against me, I can, through faith, extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Now I am able to hack against the deception of the wicked one with your living word, Father. Praying with perseverance and supplication, I am able to stand and, by your power, keep standing in Christ.

For All Things

Ephesians 5; 1 Corinthians 6; Ephesians 5

I study your ways, Father, to be a person conformed to the image of Christ Jesus. I walk in love, first of all, recognizing and remembering that Christ loves me and gave himself for me, as a sweet and perfectly satisfying offering.

He purchased me at an infinite price. Now, gladly, I am no longer my own, rather I belong to you, Father.

I am forgiven of my past sins, and sinfulness no longer owns me. Filthiness, coarseness, covetousness, and lusts are no longer part of me. Now, in Christ, I live in thankfulness acting through love.

In the past, I lived in darkness, but now I live in the light of the Lord Jesus. I walk as a child of light. I love to live a life acceptable to you, Father. What joy it is to live in your will.

Holy Spirit, you fill me, and I speak with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. I sing and make melody in my heart to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, giving thanks always for all things.

A Fellow Citizen

Ephesians 2

You, Lord Jesus, are my peace. You have broken down the wall of separation between me and God the Father’s salvation. You have abolished with your sacrifice, the enmity that existed between me and the Father because of my lawlessness.

Now, by grace through faith, I am born from above. You, Lord Jesus, have created me a new man in you. In you, Lord, I have peace with God. I am reconciled to God and made a member of your body through your cross, Lord Jesus.

There was enmity between me and our father, but you came and preached peace to me. You did all that had to be done to become my way of access, by your Holy Spirit, to the Father.

Now, hallelujah, I am no longer a stranger to God dead in my sins and trespasses. Instead, Father, through Christ, I am a fellow citizen with all the other saints and a member of your household.

Crucified to the World

Galatians 6

I am not deceived, Father. I know that you are not mocked. All the foolishness, lies, and perversions that are going on in our country, and that are being spouted out by our “leaders” will come back around and yield a crop of corruption and horror.

Please, Lord, keep your people safe from this corruption. Fill us with your spirit. Direct our eyes to you and your mercy and power. Guard us and encourage us that we would not grow weary of doing your word, that we would not lose heart.

You have finished the work, Lord Jesus. I rest in that. I boast in you, Lord, and in your love and faithfulness, and in your courage to go to the cross for me. By your life and death and resurrection, the world has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the world.

All That Matters

Galatians 3&4; 2 Corinthians 5

I am your son, Father, through faith in Christ Jesus. I was baptized into Christ, and I have put on Christ. It’s not about my background or my social status or my gender. All that matters is that I am one with you, Father, in Christ Jesus.

At your ordained time, you sent forth your son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem all who are yours, that we could receive adoption as your children.

Now, because I am your child, you have put the spirit of the Lord Jesus into my heart. By your spirit, I know I am your child, and I cry out to you, Abba, Father.

Now, Father, I am an heir of yours through Christ. Everything now in my life is from you, Father. I am reconciled to you through Jesus Christ. You are in Christ, reconciling me to you and not charging my trespasses against me and committing to me a ministry of reconciliation.

Now and Forever

2 Corinthians 12&13

Hallelujah! The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, my father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit is with me.

I am weak, but the power of Christ rests on me. For though he was crucified in weakness, yet now he lives by the power of God. I am also weak, but now I live with you, Lord Jesus, by the power of God, our father.

I examine myself. I am living in faith. I know that you, Lord, dwell in me. I am complete in you, Lord Jesus.

I have your mind in every situation. I live in your peace, a peace that passes understanding. Our father, the God of Love and Peace, is with us, and we are with him now and forever.

Every Word

2 Corinthians 10

I do still live in this flesh, but I am no longer led by my flesh. Now I am born from above. I have a new man dwelling in me through your Holy Spirit, Father. I belong to you now, Lord Jesus, and you equip me with spiritual weapons.

I am transformed as you renew my mind, day by day, with your living word and your personal communion. Now I have illumination by your mighty truth.

I pull down the strongholds of past hurts and ungodly labels that have attached to me.

I carefully examine what I believe about issues in life, and I cast down old high beliefs that hold themselves up against the knowledge from you, Father.

Now day by day, I examine each thought, and those that disagree with your word, Lord Jesus, I grab them and force them to change and to agree with every word that proceeds from your mouth.
