Full of Glory

1 Peter 1

Blessed be you, my God, and my father. In accord with your abundant mercy, you begot me to a living hope, through the resurrection of my Lord Jesus from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that does not fade away reserved in heaven for me.

I was elected by you, Father, in accord with your foreknowledge, to be saved and sanctified by your Holy Spirit. Your grace is on me as a gift, and your peace is multiplied to me.

I am kept by your power through faith in salvation. I know it will all be revealed in the last time.

In the meantime, I rejoice greatly, even though in this current time various trials test the genuineness of my faith. Through it all, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I praise and honor you. I glory in revelation and communion with Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

Though I do not see you, Lord, I hear you, and I know you. I rejoice with you in faith and believing, with joy inexpressible and full of glory. You have saved my soul.

Ready at All Times

James 3; 1 Corinthians 1; James 3&4; Philippians 2; James 4&5

Thank you, Father, for the gift of your wisdom. Christ is wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification for me. Thus my wisdom is from above. It is pure and peaceful, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality and without hypocrisy. I sow your righteousness, in peace, to all around me.

In humility, I submit to you, Father. I resist the devil, and he flees from me. I draw near to you, and you draw near to me. I continually commune with you to stay clean and pure.

I work out your salvation with serious attention and persistence, and you work in me both to will and to do for your good pleasure. I live in your will, Father. I make my plans, but I know that it is you who has charge of all my tomorrows. My life in this flesh is like a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

So, I do not boast, instead, I am patient and joy filled, communing with you each day, Father, living in the peace that passes understanding and being ready at all times for your coming.

All That I Do

James 1; Romans 12; James 1

Good morning, Lord God, you are the Father of Lights. The good and perfect gifts of salvation and your indwelling Holy Spirit have come down from you to me. There is no variation or uncertainty from you. You are faithful and immutable.

You brought me forth by your word of truth, and I am a kind of first fruit of your creation. By your grace and word and presence in me, you have renewed my mind, and I am transformed.

Now I am swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for I know my wrath does not produce the character of Christ in me. I lay aside all filthiness and the overflow of wickedness, and I receive, with meekness and thankfulness, your word implanted in my mind and heart, and thereby you save my soul.

I do not just hear your word and then go on about my business and forget that I belong to you. Instead, I kneel and peer into your word and apply it constantly to my every thought and feeling. I live in your perfect law of liberty, and I am blessed in all that I do.

Nothing

Hebrews 12 & 13

By your grace and mercy, Father, I have come to Mount Zion and into your city, the heavenly Jerusalem. I praise and honor you with an innumerable company of angels. I worship you in the general assembly as one of the church of Jesus, your Christ.

I am registered to you, Father, in heaven. I am bought with the blood of Jesus. He is my mediator and advocate. I accept your gift of salvation with joy and perseverance.

You are shaking all things, Father, that only the things which cannot be shaken will remain. Therefore, through Christ Jesus, I am receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Thankful for your grace, I serve you in reverence and godly fear. You, my great God, are a consuming fire.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you are with me always. You will never leave me or forsake me. You are my helper, and I do not fear. Nothing can stop your work in me, your redemption of me.

Infinite Value

Hebrews 12

I love you, Father, and I am encouraged because you deal with me as your child. You have chastened me and rebuked me as a perfect father. You have pruned me and taught me and perfected me that I might be of use to you and a partaker of your holiness. Your love and attention to me, has trained me in your truth and yielded the peaceable fruit of righteousness in me, and in my small part of your kingdom.

Therefore, I lift up my hands, and I stand firm. I walk in a straight path following you, Lord Jesus. I pursue peace with all people. I revel in holiness. I am filled with grace and quick to forgive so no root of bitterness springs up in me.

I am lead by your Holy Spirit, Father, and I am dead to fleshy, profane lust. I have my eyes on the Lord Jesus. I long for him to write every paragraph of my life story.

He endured fleshly suffering by looking ahead to the joy of obedience and holiness. He knew the infinite value of obeying you, Father. He witnesses that encouragement to me now.

Of Love, Of Peace, Of Joy, and Of Truth

Hebrews 7

Lord Jesus, I have come to God, our father, through you, through your life, and your witness, and your word. You have saved me to the uttermost. You are my high priest, holy, harmless, and undefiled, and you are always making intercession for me.

With your own blood, you entered the most holy place once for all, and you obtained eternal redemption for all who are yours.

Your sacrifice, Lord, has cleansed me, and set me up to serve the living God. You entered the holy place in heaven, to appear in the presence of God, our father, on my behalf. You put away sin by the sacrifice of yourself. Now I eagerly await your appearing a second time, not for sin, but with the fullness of salvation.

I am sanctified through the offering of your body, Lord Jesus, once and forever. Your Holy Spirit witnesses to me of the truth and power and perfection of the salvation you have obtained for me.

You have put your words in my head and written them on my heart. My sins and lawless deeds you remember no more. Therefore, with boldness and joy, I can enter the holiest place in you, Christ Jesus, and I can commune with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in full assurance of love, of peace, of joy, and of truth.

The Main Point

Hebrews 8

Now the main point is that I have a great, eternal, divine, high priest, who is seated at your right hand, Father, seated with you on your majestic throne in the heavens. My Lord Jesus is the minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which you, Father, erected and not man.

My Lord does not serve the copy and shadow of heavenly things as Moses did, but you, Lord Jesus, have obtained the excellent ministry, in as much as you are the mediator of a better covenant, which is established on better promises.

Father, you have put your laws in my mind and written them on my heart. You are my God, and I am your child. You are merciful to my unrighteousness and to my sin. You do not hold my lawlessness against me. Thank you for your love and mercy and redemption, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Real, Living, Eternal, Communion

Hebrews 8,7&6; 1 Peter 1

I have a great high priest, Jesus Christ. He is seated at the right hand of your throne, Father, you, the majesty of heaven. Jesus is the minister of the Sanctuary and of the True Tabernacle, which you erected.

Lord Jesus, you are the surety of a better covenant. You are the mediator of that covenant which is established on better promises.

I have come to God, our father, through faith in you, Lord Jesus, as my Lord, and as the Messiah, and you have saved me to the uttermost.

By grace through faith in you, Lord Jesus, I am a part taker of the Holy Spirit of God. I am born from above by your word, the incorruptible seed. I follow you diligently in full assurance of the perfect hope I have in you, Father, through faith in Christ Jesus, my high priest.

I have fled to Christ as my savior and laid hold of the hope you have told me about and shown to me. This hope is an anchor to my soul. It is sure and steadfast. It holds me in your presence beyond the veil of the flesh, and into real, living, eternal, communion with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Go On To Perfection

Hebrews 5; John 8; Hebrews 5 & 6

Lord Jesus, you are my great high priest. You have passed through the heavens. I confess with joy that you are the son of God. You were tempted in all ways as I was, and yet were without sin. You are able to empathize with me and my weak past.

Now, though, through and by and with you, Lord Jesus, I am able to come, boldly to the throne of grace, and there I receive mercy and find grace to help in all my needs.

Lord Jesus, you are the author of my salvation. You learned obedience through the things you suffered. Now, with you as my high priest, and my very life, I prove my obedience in the things I suffer.

I continue diligently in your word, Lord. I am your disciple. I know the truth, and you have set me free. I feed on your solid food. I am of full age. By your word and indwelling Holy Spirit, my senses are exercised to discern both good and evil. With you, Lord Jesus, in peace and sure hope, I go on to perfection.

Always

1 Timothy 1; 2 Corinthians 10; Ephesians 5

Thank you, Father, my King Eternal, glory and honor to you forever and ever. I am filled with your word, Father, and by your living word, I wage good warfare. You guide me and guard me, Lord, with mighty weapons, weapons of spiritual warfare.

With your power and truth, I pull down strong holds. I cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge you give me, Father, of your grace and redemption. Now I take every thought into captivity and make them obedient to your truth. I hack at any disobedient urge that approaches me. I glory in you, Lord, and in your blessed work in me.

Through your word and communion with you, Holy Spirit, I understand what the will of God, our father, is for me. I am filled and led by God‘s Spirit. I speak in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. I sing and make melody in my heart to you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, giving thanks always for all the living glory you have put into my life.
