Thoughts Made Obedient

Join with God. Agree with his word and let it change your inner narrative. Receive him as Lord. Get “in him” and him in you. Accept Him as Savior; apply and stand on his forgiveness and righteousness; appropriate the Holy Spirit’s leader ship and the Lord’s humility and be in the word and excited to repent.  Then you transfer from foolish to wise, selfish to self less, a slave to sin and the world to delivered and free to serve your Lord. You move from death to life, lost to found, a burden to those around you to a spring of living water to people.

No longer a victim of circumstances and bad breaks and evil people, but instead, a victor, by god’s grace, over the past, over your errors and meanness.  I am a thorough victor in Christ, overcoming death, hell and the grave; moving forward, looking forward not back, able to look at condemning thoughts and say, “yes, but… “.  No longer condemned but reconciled, justified, set free.

Set Free

Scripture informs our prayers. Preach it to yourself.

Without god, my father, and Jesus, my Lord, as the way to the father, where would I be? What would I have of any lasting significance?  But with him, by his grace, I have everything pertaining to life and godliness.  Thank you, Lord, for once I was dead, but now I am alive; once I was blind but now I see. I see what I was without you, and I see what I am with you.

I belong to Jesus now. He bought me; lifted me off of the scrapheap of foolish pride  and selfishness, and delivered me into the kingdom of God. Enabled by the Holy Spirit, I am a vessel filled with the Spirit of God; a channel of the living water of God’s gospel to those around me. I am an ambassador of reconciliation between god, the creator, and his creation; a child of the King; saved,  healed, delivered and set free from the bonds of this world.

But God

I am greatly loved! (Daniel 9:23, 10:11, 19)

Eph. 2

I was dead in the trespasses and sins in which I once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience, among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and I was by nature a child of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved me, even when I was dead in my trespasses, made me alive together with Christ – by grace I have been saved – and raised me up with him and seated meet with him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace and kindness toward me in Christ Jesus.  For by grace I have been saved through faith. Thank you, father!

I Await A Savior

My citizenship is in heaven and from it I await a savior, the Lord Jesus, the Christ, who will transform my lowly body to be like his glorious body by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.  Therefore, I stand firm in the Lord. Therefore, I obey.  I work out my own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in me, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

I do all things without grumbling or disputing, that I may be blameless and innocent, a child of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom I shine as a light in the world, holding fast to the word of life.  Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering; I am glad and rejoice in the faith. I rejoice in the Lord. I am the circumcision and I worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Jesus, the Christ, and put no confidence in the flesh.  I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord.

Liturgy Continued

Lord, today I am active and ruthless to apply the knowledge of You and your word to my thoughts, pretensions, high places, and stronghold beliefs that hold themselves up against the knowledge of You, Father, and your word and provision.

Grace and peace are multiplied to me in the knowledge of God and of Jesus, my Lord. I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. Then I continue to apply the knowledge of God to my thoughts and beliefs on a daily basis.  I recognize that if I drift or relapse I need to be quick to repent and confess my sins and hurry right back to God. I need to study and pray about these things day by day, moment by moment, and thought by thought, for the rest of my life until God calls me home.

My Lord Jesus has gone to prepare a place for me and he will come again and will take me to himself that where he is there I will be also. I love the Lord and keep my eyes on his word; the father loves me and he and the Lord Jesus come to me and make their abode with me.

Liturgy

There is a simplicity in Christ, a singleness offering to me and requiring of me a sincere and pure devotion to Jesus as the Christ. Jesus is the one; the Messiah; the anointed one sent by the father to save his people from their sins. Jesus is all and is in all. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through faith in Jesus as the Messiah. My work, then, is to believe that Jesus is the Messiah and to live and move in that belief.

I study to know my Lord Jesus and God my heavenly father; to know who he says he is and what all that means in my understanding of the father. I have everything pertaining to life and godliness through the knowledge of God as heavenly father and Almighty sovereign. Then I am active and ruthless to apply that knowledge of God and his word to my thoughts, pretensions, high places, and strongholds of beliefs that hold themselves up against the knowledge of God’s word and provision.

Preserved

Ps 16 &18

Preserve me, oh God, for in you I take refuge. You are my Lord. I have no good apart from you. You are my chosen portion and my cup. Indeed I have a beautiful inheritance.  The Lord gives me counsel and in the night my new heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.  My heart is glad and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.

You made known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forever more.  I love you, oh Lord, my strength. You are my rock, my fortress and my deliver. You are my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  I call upon you, Lord, for you are worthy to be praised.

Settled

Father, thank you for revealing yourself to me. I receive and believe that the same divine love you have for Jesus dwells now in me. I believe that Jesus, my Lord, dwells in me. I believe that by your presence I am conformed to the image of Jesus, the Christ. My faith is augmented by virtue, knowledge, temperance, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection and divine love.

It is all settled in the heavenlies. Today I walk in the Spirit of God and I do not fulfill the lust of the flesh, rather I offer my members as instruments of righteousness for my lord’s use.  I am with my Lord and I see his glory, the glory you have given him. You loved Jesus from the beginning and chose me to be in Christ before the foundation of the world that I would be holy and blameless before you.

Mercy

Thank you, oh God, for your mercy to me. Thank you for your steadfast love, your abundant mercy to blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly and cleanse me from my sin.  I know my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Against you and you only have I sinned.

Purge me, wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence. Restore to me the joy of your salvation – uphold me.

Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Deliver me, oh God, my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness; my mouth will declare your praise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, and broken and contrite heart.

Goals

To be conformed to the Lord Jesus Christ.  To know him, to be like him, and to serve him.

To add to my faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self control steadfastness, to steadfastness godliness, to godliness brotherly love, and to brotherly love love.

To establish in my mind that I believe the Bible to be the divine inspired word of God, given by God to his people that they may be born again and reconciled to God.

Once I am clear about the word being divine, my work is to believe that Jesus is the Messiah (John 6:29),  the one sent by God  (Luke 4:18).

To have mature faith: mature faith is based on what God says about himself and his kingdom and me as his child as opposed to having some kind of either: subjective faith based on what I think God said, or an immature faith where I am not applying or appropriating all that God says is true to my own belief system.

Mature faith is a faith based on what God says about himself; a faith that, knows what God says about himself, and lives within me as if I believed what God said to be the truth.
