Faithful and Wise, Pleasing to You

Hebrews 12; Like 12

Good morning, Holy Spirit. Fill me and lead me today that my faith would be alive and strong. Keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. See that there is no hypocrisy in me, and that I properly fear the Gather who holds life and eternity in his hand, and who is the only legitimate object of fear.

Thank you, Father, that you value me. You know the things I need, and you clothe me and feed me. So, I am not anxious about my physical needs. I concentrate on seeking you and your kingdom, Father.

I do not fear about my future or my usefulness to you, because it is your pleasure to give me your kingdom. I have done nothing to earn that provision, for all that I have comes as a gift from you. But, because of your grace, gift, and promises, I wish to be a good steward, who is generous towards the brethren, and rich towards you, Father.

I gird up my waist and follow the lead of your spirit, and I invest my treasure in your kingdom. I watch for you and your will every day, in every decision. My desire, Lord, is to be a faithful and wise steward in your kingdom and of your salvation. I long to be pleasing to you.

Dwells, Fills, Leads, Converts, and Renews

Luke 11

Lord Jesus, your word tells me to be ceaselessly in prayer and to be instant in prayer. You tell me to persist in prayer. You tell me to ask, and it will be given, and to seek, and I will find, and to knock, and it will be opened. Yet in many instances, I don’t seem to “get” what I “prayed” for.

But, I see in your word that the real gift, the real answered prayer, is the gift of God the Spirit who literally dwells in me. When I have your spirit dwelling in me and leading me, then I ask for the right things, and I get answers to the things I seek to know, and a way is open to me to get my character conformed to you, Lord Jesus.

So, Father, fill me today with your Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, and Holy Spirit, take charge of my life in every way. Today, the glory of Almighty God dwells in me, and tells me, and leads me, and converts me, and renews my mind.

My life in Christ is perfectly simple and unaffected by the confusion of the world.

There is; There is; There is

Luke 11; 1 Corinthians 1; Philippians 4; John 15; Matthew 11

Good morning, Father. Through Christ Jesus, I have come to know you, and I hallow your name. Your kingdom has come on this earth through Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection, and through the pouring out of your Holy Spirit, and by the establishment of your body on earth, your church.

Each day you give me the bread I need for life, not just a physical bread for my body, but more importantly, you give me living bread from heaven through the words of Jesus, your holy scripture.

I have forgiven others for any offense in my life in the same way you have forgiven me. I follow your word, and I am led by your Holy Spirit. I ignore and avoid any temptation to sin.

I persist in communion with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, because, there is wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification; there is peace that passes understanding; there is joy and rest for my soul.

I Chose That

Luke 9&10; John 6; Luke 10

Lord Jesus, you are glorious. You are God’s beloved son, and I listen to you. You did not come to destroy men’s lives. You came to save. I am yours, Lord Jesus. I have put my hands on your gospel plow, and by your grace, I am not looking back.

I hear you, Lord, and I love your words. You have given me authority over the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt me nevertheless, what I really rejoice in is that my name is written with you in heaven.

God, our father, has given me to you, and Lord Jesus, you will never cast me out.

Through your word, and by your spirit, my eyes see, and my ears hear the things many prophets and kings longed to hear and see. I sit at your feet, Lord Jesus, and I hear your word. That hearing is the one thing that is needed. That perfect, personal communion with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is the good part, and I choose that.

Of Your Glory

Luke 9; Colossians 2; Ephesians 1

Lord Jesus, you are the Christ, the son of the living and only God. You are the Christ of God, and I desire to follow you. I deny myself daily. I take up my cross daily, and I follow you.

I am saved and filled with eternal life by giving up my life and living anew with your life indwelling me. By your grace, Father, through faith in Jesus as your Messiah, I am born from above and saved from hell and adopted into the family of God.

All that is a free gift. I don’t deserve it, but you, Father, give it to me. I can’t pay the price for it, but my Lord Jesus did pay for it.

You foreknew me, and in your love and mercy, you chose me to be yours in Christ before the foundation of the world. Through Christ, I am holy and blameless before you in love. For your good pleasure, you have made me acceptable in your beloved to the praise of your glory.

In Christ, I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of my sins, according to the riches of his grace. I abound in thanksgiving, and I have found rest for my soul.

Escaped

Luke 4&5; 2 Timothy 2; 1 John 1; Luke 7; 1 Thessalonians 4; 1 Corinthians 3

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that through your word, you preached the kingdom of God to me. When I was lost in sin, you called me to repentance, and you, Father, granted me, repentance by your grace, I came to my senses and escape the snare of the devil who had taken me captive to do his will

Yes, I was lost in my sin and nastiness, but you, Lord Jesus, brought me back to the Father. I confessed to my sin, and you, Father, forgave me and cleansed me from all unrighteousness

I was forgiven much by your life, Lord Jesus, and now I love you much. Now I wait on you. I trust you, and I welcome your sanctifying presence, person, and power in my life, day-to-day, moment by moment, thought by thought.

Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that you move in me and make me increase and abound in love for others. You establish my heart blameless in holiness before you.

Filled and set in Christ, and led by God, the Spirit, I live a quiet life, doing the work you have for me, Father, and minding my own business, walking properly before all people and lacking nothing in my life. I am Christ’s, and Christ is yours, Father.

Through Your Mercies

Romans 6; Lamentations1; Romans 9; Lamentations 1 & 3

Yes, Lord, all have sinned and come short of your glory. I certainly did, and I see that my nation is sinning gravely and becoming enslaved and sold out to the evil one. Yet you are Almighty God, Father, and you bless, and you curse, according to your will and your plans.

I pray your comforter would restore your life to my country, as you have restored life to me. I remember the great and mighty things you have done in the past. You have delivered and prospered your people over and over. Therefore, I have hope.

Through your mercies, Father, we are not consumed. Your compassion never fails. Your mercy is new every morning, and great is your faithfulness. You are the full portion to each of us who are yours. Therefore, we have divine, sovereign, hope through every situation

You are good, Father, to all who wait upon you; to souls that seek you. Our salvation is from you, Father, through Jesus, the Christ. You did not approve, and you will avenge all the immoral enslavement, and the corruption of justice, and the subversions of the efforts of your people.

You will not wait forever. In your perfect time, you will show compassion according to the multitude of your mercies. Hallelujah.

Awesome and Tragic

Lamentations 1 & 3

How lonely and lowly my country has become. We use to be full of people with honor and dignity. We were people who worked to get along and were diligent about our work and about truth. We were great among nations.

We were like a princess among the nations, but now we have become a slave. Other nations have dealt treacherously with us. We have gone into captivity, and we find no rest.

Our adversaries are becoming our masters. Our enemies are probing at our expense.

You, Father, are letting us reap the fruit of our transgressions against you. We have left our history and our faith, Father, and now our children have gone into the captivity of the evil one.

Our splendor has departed. Our leaders, even the good ones, flee from the issues like deer without strength.

Our adversaries mock our downfall. They see our hypocrisy and vileness as if we were naked before them. We are unclean, and we have abandoned our destiny. Our collapse is awesome and tragic. It makes me weep

God, your spirit is far from so much of our country. Please bring us to repentance. Turn us back to you.

Eternal and living

Luke 4; Romans 8; Luke 6

Thank you, Father, that, by your grace and mercy, your Holy Spirit is upon me.

I am baptized and anointed by you, God the Spirit. I am an instrument in your hands for use in your kingdom. I pray I am useful and yielded to you, Holy Spirit, as you preach the gospel, and heal broken hearts, and liberate captives, and give sight to the blind, and set people free from oppression.

I am under your authority, Holy Spirit. I am led by you and taught by you. You conform me to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. By your indwelling presence, Christ lives and rules in me.

I hunger for your presence and for communion with you, and you fill me. I love my enemies and do good to all. I do not take offense, and I do not retaliate. I pray for those who misuse me. I give and do not demand a repayment. As I want people to do for me, I try to do for others.

I am merciful, Father, just as you are merciful. I forgive others as you have forgiven me

Lord Jesus, you are my Lord, and I do the things which you command. I come to you gladly and thankfully, and I obey your word and Spirit. I have dug deep in you, and built my house on you as the eternal and living Rock.

Reign In Me

1 Corinthians 4; Galatians 6; Ephesians 2; Romans 5&6; Colossians 3

I don’t have anything good or living in my life and character that you did not give me, Lord. So, I have no reason to boast about myself or to be proud of my deeds. In fact, without your intervention in my life, I would be lost and gone.

Today, I do boast about Christ Jesus, and about his sacrifice for my salvation. I boast and give thanks for your cross, Lord Jesus. By you, the world is crucified to me, and I am crucified to the world.

Now it is all about the new creation within me. You, Father, have made me alive, even when I was dead in sin and trespasses. You birthed a new man in me, born from above, by your will, through your Holy Spirit.

So now, I have been baptized into Christ. First into his death, so my old nature is dead, and no longer has dominion over me. And now, birthed with a new man, the very person of God, I walk in newness of life.

Now you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, reign in my life. My thoughts, intentions, and decisions are now all yours. I live in the new man who is renewed through your knowledge, Father.

Your word dwells richly in me. I rejoice always, and I am ceaselessly in communion with you. Your Holy Spirit leads me with the mind of Christ. Whatever I do, I do it all in your name, Lord Jesus, giving thanks to our father through you.
