Take, Learn, Find

Hebrews 4; Matthew 11

Thank you, Lord Jesus, you are my great high priest. You have passed through the heavens. You are our father’s only begotten son. I hold to my confession that you are the Christ, the son of the living God.

You know me, Lord Jesus. You have lived in the flesh. You know the temptations of this world. You understand me and empathize with me. You know my weaknesses, but in you and through you, I can now live in truth.

I know I can come boldly to your throne of grace, and there I always find your mercy and grace. You help me, Lord, in all my needs.

Thank you, Lord, that there is a rest for me. I come unto you, Lord Jesus, and you give me rest. I take your yoke upon me, and I learn from you. You are meek and lowly, and I find rest for my soul. Your yoke is easy, and your burden is light. I know God, my father, through you, Lord Jesus. Thank you.

Your Nature

2 Samuel 22; 2 Corinthians 5

Lord Jesus, you are my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer. You are my strength, and I trust in you. You are my shield and the horn of my salvation. You are my stronghold and my refuge. You saved me, Lord Jesus, from my violent selfishness.

I call upon you, Lord, and you save me from bondage and death. You are worthy of praise and worship.

In this world, waves of death and ungodliness surround me. There is sorrow and loss of loved ones and the snares of deceivers. I cry out to you, and you hear me. You fill me as your temple with your Holy Spirit, and so am I always in communion with you and never alone or forsaken.

By your grace and love, you chose me and called me. You picked me out of the multitude and delivered me from the evil one. Sin and the devil were too strong for me, but by you and with you, I am delivered from bondage to sin and born from above, by your spirit, with your nature.

I am in Christ, and I am a new creation. The old things have passed away, and behold, everything about me now is new and divine. Thank you, great God, Almighty.

Confidence and Joy

Hebrews 3; 2 Peter 1; Ephesians 2; Psalm 23; Hebrews 2

Lord Jesus, you are the merciful and faithful high priest in all things pertaining to God. In you, Lord, I have all things pertaining to life and godliness.

Lord, you are the son over your own house, and I belong to you. I am one of your household, and I dwell in your house forever. I hold fast to you, as my Lord and the Captain of my salvation, with confidence and joy.

I hear your voice, and my heart is soft to your word. I know your ways, and I love to obey your commands. I live day by day, and moment by moment, in your rest.

By your grace and indwelling spirit, I have a new heart, a sweet, believing heart. I am a partaker of you, Christ Jesus. I hear your voice, and I am led by you with confidence and joy.

All Things

Hebrews 2

Father, you made Jesus the Captain of my salvation. All things are for him, and all things are by him. There is nothing that is not put under him. Yet we see him lower himself for the suffering of death, that he, by your grace, Father, would taste death for everyone and thereby bring many sons to glory.

For all of us who are yours, Father, are all one in Christ Jesus. For that reason, my Lord is not ashamed to call me his brethren.

Since I was of flesh and blood, you, Lord Jesus, likewise took on flesh that, through death, you would destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil. You have released me from bondage to the fear of death.

You, Lord Jesus, are my merciful and faithful high priest in all the things of God, our father. You have made full propitiation for my sins. You, yourself, suffered temptation, and now, you aid me when I am tempted.

All Things

Hebrews 1

Lord Jesus, you are God, and your throne is forever and ever. God, our Heavenly Father, and your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than any other. A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. You, Lord Jesus, love righteousness, and you hate lawlessness.

In the beginning, Lord Jesus, you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain. They will grow old like a garment. Like a cloak, you will fold them up, and they will be changed. But you, Lord, are the same, and your years will not fail.

You, Lord Jesus, are the Son of God. He has begotten you, and you, like him, are God. You sit at his right hand while he makes your enemies your footstool. You send your angels forth to minister to me and to all people who are yours and who will inherit your salvation.

You, yourself, Lord Jesus, have purged my sins. You, Lord Jesus, are the brightness of the glory of God, our father. You are the expressed image of the person of God. You uphold all things by the power of the word of God.

Looking Forward

Titus 2; Ephesians 2; Titus 3&2

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you gave yourself to redeem me from every lawless deed, and to purify me to be yours, one of your special people, zealous for your good works.

Father, I am your workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that you ordained beforehand that I would walk in.

In kindness and love, you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, called me, and according to your mercy, you saved me, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by your Holy Spirit.

You, Holy Spirit, poured out on me abundantly, through Jesus Christ, my savior. Now I am justified by your grace, and I am an heir of my Heavenly Father, according to the hope of eternal life.

Your grace, Father, has taught me to deny ungodliness and worldly lust, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present time. I keep my eyes on Christ Jesus, looking forward with sure hope for the glorious appearing of my great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Delivered and Preserved

Titus 1; 2 Timothy 4

Thank you, Father, for grace, mercy, and peace from you, my God, and from you, Lord Jesus, my Savior. I am your bond servant, and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in accord with the faith you have gifted me with, as one elected by you.

By your grace, and through your indwelling power, I live in godliness and hope. By Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, I am blameless, not selfish or quick tempered, not given to alcohol, violence, or greed.

Instead, led by your Holy Spirit, I am hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober minded, just, holy, and tempered for all circumstances. I know and hold to good doctrine and live in truth with you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I am watchful in all things. I endure afflictions with hope. I do the work of an evangelist. I fulfill the ministry you have given me. You, great God and father, deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for your heavenly kingdom.

Thoroughly Equipped

2 Timothy 2&3

You warned me, Father, that all who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution; that evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse and deceive many, while being deceived themselves.

I, by your grace and mercy, will continue in the things I have learned from you, Father, and my mind will stay renewed by your word and by very personal communion with you, Holy Spirit.

I am diligent to present myself to you as an approved worker who is not ashamed, but instead, one who has studied, and listened, and remained humble before you, Father; a workmen who can rightly divide your truth, and who avoids vain babbling and foolish spiteful talk.

The solid foundation of your inspired scripture keeps my heart and mind on and in Christ Jesus. You, Father, know I am yours. By your word and person, oh Lord, I am your man, complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Rich with Peace and Joy

2 Timothy 1; 1 Timothy 6

Good morning, Father, I thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit, who dwells in me. Rise up, Spirit of God, and take charge of every part of me. You are the very power and love of God, and you have hold of my mind, and you fill me with the courage of Christ.

Today I pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. I fight the good fight of faith, and I lay hold of eternal life, to which you called me.

By your grace and love, I am content and Godly. I know that this present life is fleeting and should not be based on acquiring stuff. I came into this life with nothing, and it is certain that when I leave this life, I leave all the “stuff” behind.

What goes with me forever is who I was in Christ, and what you did with me and for me, Father. Therefore, I am free of the love of money. I do not trust in uncertain riches. I trust in you, Father, the Living God. You fill me with eternal, all valuable fruit, straight from your presence in me and your communion with me. You make me rich with peace and joy.

Guard Over My Heart and Mind

2 Thessalonians 2&3; Philippians 4

Hallelujah, thank you, Father, that you are faithful, and you establish me in your kingdom, and you guard me from the evil one. You direct my heart into your divine love and into the patience and character of Christ Jesus.

I give thanks always to you, Father, because from the beginning, you chose me for salvation through sanctification by your Holy Spirit and belief in the truth to which you called me by your gospel. Now I am filled with your person and live in the glory of your presence.

Thereby, I stand fast and hold to the truth and life of your holy word. You, Lord Jesus, and you, Heavenly Father, have loved me from the beginning, and through you, I have everlasting consolation, and good hope by your grace. You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, comfort my heart and establish me in every good word and work.

Your living word fills me and flows through me, and you, Lord, are glorified. You deliver me from unreasonable and wicked people, and from deceptive situations. You guard over my heart and mind. Thank you, Father.
