The Captain

Acts 9&10; Hebrews 2

Thank you, Father, for choosing me to be yours. You have given me sight to see you and filled me with your Holy Spirit to be led by you and to be in constant communion with you. Today I walk in the fear of you, Father God, and in your comfort, Holy Spirit.

Truly, Lord, you are not partial with race or nationality, but from every nation, you accept any and all who will fear you and receive your work of righteousness by faith in Jesus, your Christ.

I have peace through Jesus Christ. He is Lord of all. You, Father, anointed Jesus of Nazareth with your Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for you, Father, were with him.

You, Father, ordained that Christ, my Lord, would die hanging on a tree as the perfect propitiation for sin. You proved your satisfaction by raising Jesus up from the dead on the third day and showing him openly to many witnesses, who ate and drank with him.

He commanded us to preach and to testify that he is the Messiah, and that he is ordained to be the judge of the living and the dead. Through his name, all who believe in him will receive remission of sin. He is the captain of our salvation.
