To All Generations

Isaiah 51; Ephesians 1; Isaiah 51

I look always to Jesus, Father. He is the Rock from whom I am hewn. You chose me to be in Christ and of Christ before the foundation of the world. By Christ’s atoning sacrifice and your grace, Father, I am holy and blameless before you.

In love, you predestined me for adoption as your son through Jesus, the Christ, according to the purpose of your will, to the praise of your glory.

Now you comfort me, and you make this wasteland like a garden. Joy and gladness fill my life along with thanksgiving and the voice of song.

Now I belong to you, Father. I do not fear the reproach of man, and I am not dismayed by their foolish, perverted revilings. They will be eaten up like a garment is devoured by a moth, like wool is eaten by a worm.

Your righteousness, however, will be forever, and your salvation will save us, who are yours, to all generations.
