Living In Me

James 1; Romans 9; James 1

I thank you, Father, for the good and perfect gift of your indwelling presence. Through Christ’s life and death, you provided me a righteous robe and propitiation for my sin.

Now your Holy Spirit dwells in me, and I am led to obey and serve. It is a great and perfect salvation from a lost and dying world.

Now I am brought forth from the dead by your word of truth, and my new person is a kind of firstfruit of your creation. I am humble and in awe before you, Father.

I am quick to listen to your word. I am slow to speak until I have some understanding. And I am careful not to be angered or offended by your word, for you are God. You are perfect and sovereign. You are the potter, and I am the clay.

Therefore, I lay aside all wickedness, and I receive with humility your implanted word, and your word, living in me, saves my soul.
