Hebrews 2; Romans 12; Hebrews 2
Father, I give earnest heed to your word. I draw close to you, careful not to drift away. By your grace, you have given me a great salvation. I do not neglect it.
Jesus, your Christ, spoke of this salvation, and then the apostles wrote of it, and you, Father, bore witness to the truth of it with signs and wonders and even miracles. You bore witness to me personally through the move of your Holy Spirit in my life.
Your Spirit convicted me and showed me myself and taught me. You communed with me through your Spirit and your word. Events and circumstances and provisions occurred, and occur in my life that show me your presence with me and your hand upon me. You renew my mind to your real eternal salvation, and I am transformed.
Now I know that Jesus is the Captain of my salvation, and he proved his perfection by the things that he suffered. Now he who sanctifies and I who am sanctified are all miraculously of one stock. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call me brother.
