Romans 9
Your word, oh Lord, does not affect everyone the same, for not everyone is your child. Not all people are your elect. All are born of the flesh, but not all will be born again of your seed, father
Your seed is predestined by your choice. When you chose us we were children not yet born, nor having done any good or evil, rather we were chosen by you that your purposes of election would stand, not based on works, but rather based on your grace and your sovereignty, father.
You tell me clearly, father, that you will have mercy on whomever you will have mercy, and you will have compassion on whomever you will have compassion. These are your choices, and they are not based on my will or effort.
You have your purposes, and you are sure to show your power through the circumstances that you ordain. Therefore, you have mercy on whom you will, and you harden the heart of whom you will.
