Psalm 1
I am a blessed man, father. I am blessed by your mercy and grace with salvation through Jesus Christ, my Lord. I no longer walk in the council of the ungodly nor stand in the way of sinners nor do I sit in the seat of the scornful.
Instead, I delight in you and in your word, father. I meditate on your word and commune with you day and night.
I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water. I bring forth my fruit in season. My leaf does not wither, and whatever I do prospers.
The ungodly may rage, and they may plot vain things. “Kings” set themselves up, and rulers council together against your anointed, father, but you sit in heaven and laugh. You hold them in derision. You speak to them in wrath and deep displeasure.
You adopt me out of this world as your son and give me an inheritance through Christ, you’re only begotten son. I put my trust in you, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and I am blessed.
