Freedom Indeed

John 8; 1John 4; John 15

Lord Jesus, I abide in your word and your word abides in me. I gladly, joyfully, and desperately continue in your word. I am your disciple, and your word I find you.

I find truth and that truth makes me free. Your life and your word, Lord Jesus, set me free. And when you set someone free, they are free indeed.

I was once a slave to sin but now in you, Lord Jesus, I am forever free of the penalty of sin and I have a new man dwelling in me who is stronger than the power of sin.

I keep my eye and my attention on your word and I abide in your love. I am able to pray the desires of my heart and know that they are your desires. Your word gives me your divine joy and that joy remains in me and fills me.

You chose me and you call me friend. You are not of this world, Lord Jesus, and you have chosen me out of this world to be with you forever. That is freedom indeed.
