The Place of God Is Glad

Psalms 46; Hebrews 4; Psalms 46

Father, I bow before you. I am still before you. I am still and I know that you are God. You are exalted in the earth.

You, the Lord of hosts, are with me. You, the God of all, the only true God, are my refuge. You, father, son and Holy Spirit are my refuge and strength. You are very present with me.

By your grace and your justification, I can come boldly unto your throne of grace and there obtain mercy and find your grace to help me in time of need.

Therefore, I do not fear, though the earth be shaken, though the waters be troubled, though the heathen rage, though all the fabric of society and prudence seem torn, despite all that “news” I see:

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God. That is the holy place of God, my father. You, father, are the most high God; the only true God. You, father, are in the midst of the city and your city shall not be moved. This earth shakes and people rage, but the place of God is glad, holy and at rest.
