Hebrews 6
Father, you desired to show me more convincingly the unchangeable character of your purpose, so you granted your promise with an oath. You swore upon yourself and so, by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for you, father, to lie, I who have fled to you for refuge find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope you have set before me.
You, almighty God, made a promise to Abraham that he and others who were yours would be blessed by you, and then you swore upon yourself that you would be faithful to complete your promises. You, heavenly Father, cannot lie so, I am encouraged to endure; to seek you dailyly and diligently. I have a great hope. Your promise, your oath, and your faithfulness is a sure and steadfast anchor for my soul. I have a hope that enters into the holiest place where Jesus, my Lord, has gone as a forerunner on my behalf.
