Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you are the messiah and you are the captain of my salvation. I am yours and you are not ashamed to call me brethern.
You, Lord Jesus, put your trust in God the father, and as your brother, I put my trust in you Jesus as Messiah, and in God, the father, as sovereign. Since I am alive in this flesh and blood, you, my Lord, took on the same flesh, that through death you would destroy him that had the power of death that is the devil. In that divine way you delivered me from bondage to the fear of death.
You, Lord Jesus, were made like me that you would be a merciful and faithful high priest in the things pertaining to God; perfectly able to make reconciliation for my sins. You, Lord Jesus, are the son over your own house, whose house I am. I hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of that hope firm to the end.
